    Ma'am,
I am quite confused. How long did you have the license for before this visit where u changed your mind to get married? I believe a marriage license expires after a few months-not more than 90days. Correct me if i am wrong.
Having said that, as some experts have advised, if you cannot solve the puzzle yourself and we are not telling you what you want to hear, pls seek the help of a legal representative-He will be able to sit you down and tell you what is obtainable.

    Boiler, i went for an interview and before it began(it was IQ test,maths&reasoning), i was handed a form to fill, on the form it says;
Please print your name and indicate your race.
I still can not understand the essence of that. I had indicated that online when i was filling out the application. I felt it was kinda discriminatory somehow, perhaps the right candidate must be of a certain race or ethnicity? in which case defiles EEO.

And who might you be judging someone like this?
Do you know this person personally? or you are just bitter by default?.
That is supposed to be somebody's wife for Gods sake, if you cannot focus on the subject matter without being judgemental & razz, just read his post and keep moving instead of exposing your natural bitterness on a public platform.

Its quite unfortunate this is happening to you after all the effort and wasted time on this nerve-racking journey. He really messed up for keeping such a vital(red flag) information from you knowing how it could impact on your petition.
However, I implore you not to be hasty with making a decision as this is something that needs to be thought through carefully.
It is true a lot of people lie on visa applications and I will tell you a story someone told me.
He said some years ago, his friend contracted some travel agency to help with obtaining a travel visa, they promised him 100% success if they prepared the documents and he ended up paying a total sum of $7000 for everything to be taken care of. One week before the the interview date, he had a meeting with them-this is supposed to be the day they hand him the documents and give him orientation for the upcoming interview, while he was going through the already prepared documents, he realizes there were a lot of discrepancies and false information on the documents; 1. It said he was married which was a lie because he was single 2. It said he had 2 kids which was a lie 3. It said he worked for a large corporation and was well paid which was almost a lie etc, when he asked them why, they assured him they have been in the business for years and that was the easiest, yet surest way to get the visa and that there was zero repercussion. He went for the interview and unfortunately, he was denied because IOs are trained to spot a lie which in his case were LIESSSSEESSSS!!.
The young man continued his life in his home country forgetting everything about the application and after about 6 years, he was doing really well for himself and was very successful, he decides to genuinely travel for a 7 days vacation, He filled out the application but forgot that he was supposed to be "married" and have "kids"(lol) as indicated in his last application. He went for the interview and again was denied but this time for misinterpretation of facts and was issued a 10 years ban.(this might not be your case)
The reason for writing this epistle is to let you know that a lot of bad things happen to good people and often than not our past comes to bite us in the ### even after we have turned a new leaf. my point is, because your fiancé tried to come to the US before he met you and failed does not mean he is an opportunist and is trying to use you to circumvent the system, sadly some vjers are known for "what are you doing with this guy? he is a liar, leave his ###", "what are you doing with this man, he is not good enough to be your husband-divorce him and move on","ditch your looser husband now, you deserve better","divorce him/her now and move to the shelter" and the best yet "IT IS SCAM!!!" etc, they tell you this while they keep their own spouse and I can assure you they are not better either.
Having said that, it is still very unacceptable if he purposely concealed such a vital information from you. But you should take your time and review the whole thing before making a decision. you have been with him for a while, you should know better than anybody here judging your relationship from a few paragraphs you wrote. what if he truly loves you, what if it was nonchalance or ignorance on his part, what if it is not "SCAM" and at the same time, what if it is? what if he did it on purpose? what if?
Pray and ask God for directions and I am sure he will see you through.
I wish you the best in what ever decision you make.

Hahahhaa I am so sorry. It is just the way USCIS has shaped my thinking, i feel nowadays if you want to bring anything to the US, USCIS has a form you must file. I am afraid in 10years you might need to file a form with supporting documents to bring your home country ATTITUDE to the United States of America.hahahahhaha..???

Unchained got a reaction from Amhara in My Job interview in "AMERICA"(the good, the bad, the ugly)
The daunting quest for a decent Job in America is truly overwhelming. Having barely gotten a temporary freedom(EAD)from uscis,I did not know that's just half of the first phase of moving to America.
Job search to me nowadays is like a job on its own, but lately i feel there must be something wrong with me or with the system. I have had quite a few interviews but at the end, all i take home is " we are still interviewing more candidates and will get back to you". I have done a lot of research and someone once told me that most companies have EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) quota that they have to meet and the don't have to actually hire someone to meet that quota, they just have to interview different people of different races and have it on record to show that they at least tried to but the candidates were not good enough lol, I still can't wrap my head around that. I have a bachelors from overseas in IT with 8years in the game but that hasn't really helped in anyway.
Anyways my last ordeal was in retail, my father always told me that "when the desired is not available, the available becomes the desired." So i took a shot at retail and i got an interview appointment after about a month of applying, i got there and the lady asked me if i have any experience in sales/retail, i said no but i have experience in customer interaction as in my last job, I was a Technical support and besides the retail job didn't require experience as i saw on the advert. She says ok, she asked whats my favorite product in the store, i said "orange juice" she asked why "i said its healthy and taste good". She says ok and went on. After the interview, i was told the same old story and it been 3 weeks and nothing yet. The job is a minimum wage job and i still didn't get it? Lol
Guyz i would like to hear some of your interview experiences(the good, the bad or the ugly) before you landed that job you really like after moving to "AMERICA". I want to know how best to break this ice.

It sounds to me like a lot of people here get frustrated when other people have it easier then them. Just because many people have to wait separately, doesn't mean everybody should. Life isn't fair, oh well!
And I highly doubt uscis has so much free time that they would browse the VJ forums and then do investigative work to establish identity. They seem to have more files than they can handle on their hands.
