She doesn't get any benefit until she starts working and contributing the "system" for a period of time.
Most states have One Year residency requirement. You can add your fiance to you health insurance but that ain't free.
She is not entitled to any form of financial assistance from the state or the govt yet. Remember your the I-864 you signed?

I meant to apply for health insurance, benefits was the wrong word.

First she needs to apply for SSN, then you need to get married After that you can easily add her to your insurance. That's how we did it. I didn't get my state ID until I received my EAD. Had no problems getting health insurance and getting bank account.

Be careful using the word 'benefits'. Pretty much everyone assumes that to mean 'free money' from the government. Money that tax paying residents provide.
As for health insurance, I'd imagine she currently doesn't qualify for much until she gets a green card in hand. I currently hold no health insurance and am waiting for the open enrolment to get some. Unless you have a policy that you can add her to (if you're married), you may have to wait a while.

No idea. I went through the front line, gave the USCIS number, was told there was an update and then transferred into another queue. When they finally answered I received my case number, chatted with the person a bit, and then hung up. No further transfers.

10 letters Allie??? Lol that is ridiculous.
Tyson, keep trying. Check out my signature for when nvc assigned my number.
I haven't been able to get through to nvc in a couple days so I'm not sure if my file has been sent yet. I think it probably will today or tomorrow just because everything keeps happening on Thursdays and Fridays.

If you need insurance right away, look into short term insurance. We did that when we arrived with 8 months old twins; basically, it is insurance you can buy for 30-180 days and is valid as soon as you send off the payment. We went with BCBS because it is so widely accepted, but I am sure other companies have it as well.
Longer term, check with your HR department if you can add just your son, without you and your wife (if that is what you want to do).

TSC has started to make me look forward to Mondays and hate Fridays. Here's hoping for a good week.
