Just out of curiosity, if folks could respond that may have used a lawyer for 751 filing and still received an RFE or a random interview, i would appreciate it.
-
Just a quick question for everyone. I was quite late in receiving my biometrics letter and got one only after my Lawyer had called the office to inquire about the same.
I assume the delay may have been due to the field office being extremely busy.
My question is, how much does a late biometrics appointment factor into the entire approval process timeline? Or is there no rule of thumb or convention?

Sorry everyone, was not teying to create a large discussion. Was just trying to say that keep things normal. It is ok to keep finances separate. It works for a large majority of couples that way.
-
Because immigration requires us to be more co-mingled than a normal couple maybe would be. You have to prove that you're married to someone else in a genuine manner and trust them with everything financial, and a domestic relationship never has to.
Right. I understand that. But on the other hand there is also really no need to go out of the way to create documentation. Marriages are based on love.... Not money. And immigration is definitely a benefit arising out of the marriage, but getting married because of immegration may not be the right thing to do.
Essentially speaking, if you do what all normal couples do, one should be fine. I am in the same boat as evwryone else, but no one can deny the truths. Not even USCIS.

I would assume that one needs to lead a life normally as to what works for a couple. If one keeps track of every action from the perspective of USCIS, how is one supposed to lead a normal and happy life with their counterpart. There are a large amount of population that keep finances separate except for joint responsibilities like rent, bills etc.

Although i am a jan 2015 filer, Asking this out of curiosity,
For all the folks that have unfortunately received an RFE, did you hire a lawyer to file your 751 or did file yourself.
I would appreciate inputs.

That was me saying August and I got that info from Visa Journey's processing times section of the website (attached a link). I hope you're right and the VJ estimate is wrong because it would be awesome if they were months further than it says!!!
I am basing what i am saying on this

I could be wrong or may not know how to infer stuff. As i mentioned, I am new here.
