Approved or got his/her card in the mail? Because if it is a card or a letter it might be posted with backdate. Hopefully they are working because of what we all see here, I don't even think there is an actual office in VSC LOL
the person got the approval notice yesterday with approval date of June 3rd.
-
I saw the update, too, but based on the "as of March 31" I believe they haven't changed anything and CSC still hasn't update to April 30th, so I guess we will have to wait until Mon or Tue next week and see if they move it up even by a day, but based on the fact they haven't even processed one case I would say there will be no movement.
if you look on trackitt, one person was approved yesterday from october.
I believe that VSC is working on cases, it is just that Vj may have maybe 5% of the 751 filing population on here.
-
I think no more I 751s will ever be approved after the october one's that were already approved.
Ok everyone, pack your bags and go home. Everyone had a good run. LOL
-
Maybe it is the lull before the storm. Maybe after a few days of complete quite at VSC, they might just start churning out 751s like it is no one's business.
-
sammyboy...its too late...if we do that now...we will not be the beneficiaries of it. So i dont care to do so. :-).
C'mon!! we are a community now.
And you never know how long they may take. With this speed maybe we all can be beneficiaries. LOL

Hello, I filed in January 12th, 2015 and I got today the notice that my card is on its way. I did the biometrics sometime in early February.
My case is a little bit different, because i got divorced 4 months before the 2 year conditional residency. Everything has worked perfectly and I have not even been called for an interview.
Please tell us more.
Assuming you filed in california center?

I agree, premium processing option is the way to go. Do it like $3000 and guaranteed 60 days and their profit margin will be significantly higher:) This way if at certain point they need part time people they will have the budget to staff accordingly.
i would be down for it. Save a lot of time and sanity
-
It was somebody's kid or part of a family petition and they were July, August or Sept filers and they approved the whole family and that single member was somehow in the Nov pile, so that is why VSC found the case and processed it, since they have to keep families together, which was surprisingly very very nice of them.
that makes sense now.
i think it is time for everyone to get together and make a petition to the authorities to process these cases faster or give us a premium processing option.

sammyboy34 why did your lawyer say to keep off the forums?
1. Because everyone's case is different and it is hard to generalize based on this
2. Small populatiion of the filers exists here
3. To keep my sanity and not worry about the 751 day in and day out.
Yet, i do stay on the forums, to keep myself somewhat informed. Every one here is a good support group.
-
Me thinks that your lawyer wants you to stay off of the forum for financial reasons$$$$...wants to keep you as a client so you will use them when it comes time to file citizenship...hence charging you and arm and a leg for this service, when you can put together your citizenship packet for a lot less. Immigration lawyers don't like this site.
Well.... first of all, "an arm and a leg of a charge" is subjective. For some it is "an arm and a leg" for some it is "peanuts" for some it is "not bad! "
It is really not alot of money they charge. Most people spend more on dinners and night outs in a month.
I believe in lawyers myself and would not cheap out on spending a couple of bucks to save me all the hassle of putting together the paperwork, or when one's future is involved. Do you refrain from going to the doctor or buying health insurance when you can maybe obtain antibiotics by having one of your cousin doctors calling in a prescription? No.
Sure i would use my lawyer again for citizenship purposes also, that is if i choose to file for citizenship.
These cases are mostly added bonuses for the immigration lawyers since they make most of their money from other pressing immigration issues for corporations etc. H1 B visas, L1 visas, J-1 etc.
-
Sammyboy.DId your lawyer tell you that they monitor these forums...:-) :-)
No, he did not.
-
My lawyer has strictly told me to keep off the forums. LOL. :)Yet, i am here.
I do not understand VSCs processes. There is one november filer who was approved in April. God knows what that is about.
Also, i believe we on this forum are a very small population of filers, and some don't care to come back and inform the forum etc.
So, what we are doing is all speculation.
i am trying hard to not think about this and just stay busy with work and other stuff. Not that it is working too well.
Thinking every minute every second about this will just ruin the quality of life and will make harder for time to go by.
Yes i am with you guys worried about the dreaded RFE and hoping things go fine so that my wife and i can go ahead and do other things like just buy an effin house already
-
Personal discretion for the most part.
Personal discretion... jeez!! I mean the amount of evidence we sent is not even funny, even my lawyer said that it is one of the best documented cases he has seen and they are a pretty big n popular firm. Yet, i still sit here freaking out that hope all goes well.
-
i am just curious as to how this approval process works -
is there a thumb rule for them to decide that a filer needs an RFE or do they just randomly do whatever they feel like at that given point in time?
-
I had an infopass appointment today to get my passport stamped because I was afraid to go out of the country with just the extension letter.
The immigration officer was very nice and she checked my case. She told me it will take at least 8-10 more weeks for VSC to start working on mid/late October cases. So my friends, we just have to sit down and KEEP WAITING. She also said some cases will be transfer to California.
Based on the NOA 1 date in this forum, thereare a couple of late october / november VSC filers approved. What's that all about?
-
Moemac: I think you are going to need to take some donuts and coffee for them. You are nominated on our behalf since you are closest to them.
What if... we all actually did that? Send them 10 dozen donuts and alot of coffee with a nice note saying that hurry up ? LOL
-
In that case, me being a january filer i would probably be pushed all the way to next year.
Dayummm
-
No one is gullible.
I am only joking.
But the way things are progressing it looks like they have picked up October....they will process what they can..send out RFE's and then touch Nov. so probably in June November will get a shot. Next week is a four day week..a short week.
so is it safe to assume that VSC knocks out most of the filers from one particular month within one month or 30 days ?
example - October filers being knocked out within may
-
Moemac/Plam/Sammyboy: This group has been very quiet lately. Any updates? Are you guys ready for the long weekend? VSC appears to be on vacation this week and possibly next week as well. :-)
as gullible as we all are right now, are you joking about VSCs vacation or is that true?
-
Would it be a safe assumtion that uscis knocks out one month of filers within a period of 30 days?
For example october 2014 filers being adjudicated upon within may 2015 by VSC

We are having fun, but we want to buy a house and no mortgage company in town wants to put me as a person on the title with an expired GC. My husband is like we will just wait. For how long do we wait, we are going house hunting this weekend. I guess I can always be added to the title later for a fee:)
Also I realized I lost my DL and I cannot get one without a GC. Apparently the local DMV doesn't want to issue me one without a stamp in my passport(the NOA is not accepted). I start my summer semester on Monday and my classes are M-F 9am-3pm, our local office is 1 hour and 30 mins away and I cannot get an infopass appt. So I have two options: 1. Drive without a license, 2. wait for the GC. Yessss, totally my fault I lost my license. I forgot it in the bank and they told me they hold them for a day and then shred them. Who does that to a lost/forgotten/not returned to the customer license) Chase Bank does
Once again I wish all of us luck:)
Damn!! And i thought OUR state sucked coz they happily renwwd my DL based on the NOA
But those kind of issues do make sense for the anxiety.

Why would it create unnecessary panic? I don't think USCIS would post such information to create panic. If you think about it, the date was on March 2015 and it is now May 2015 and VSC is working on October cases. If you filed before the conditional green card's expiration's date, just go about with your daily normal activities (e.g. have fun!). Since I started looking at this site, VSC is known to be slower than CSC, but there are instances where cases at VSC are transferred to CSC due to backlog. Just fun guys!
The reason it may cause panic to readers is because the timeline increases from their anticipated timeline even though the poster may not have read that the data posted is as of March 29 2015, meaning not the most current information.
what you said later is the best part and so true.
Exactly! Just go about your daily life and stop obsessing over the timeline. Yes every one wants this stuff to get over, but why fret over something you have no control over.
You are in status.... just enjoy your life with your family. No one is taking you away from your family.

To all of us November VSC filers, who thought approvals are gonna start pouring in soon, hold your horses. As of today VSC has posted Sept 29th as the last case processed, which means (in my opinion) our wait is just starting now.
https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do;jsessionid=abc6WWi27YkPw6m8Kco1u
No prediction on when we will actually hear anything from them. I wonder what percent of our taxes goes to "Immigration" because I think it refunded to us on our next tax return.
This is the kind of information that causes unnecessary panic amongst others. Please read the whole thing before you jump to conclusions.
This information / data is as of March 31st 2015. They are already working on october cases.
-
they are already working on October cases. 4 - 5 of the VSC october folks on here are already approved

it was not on the tracker. That tracker can make people go crazy. it was in the forums.
