So far in this packet....every single bank statement since we have been married (nearly 3 years worth), life insurance policy, car insurance (for nearly three years), Electric Bill, ComCast Bill, Affidavit from my Law Firm, Tax Returns (again) but including last years, getting a Will drawn up, flights showing we travel together.

Can anyone provide anything else? I have a letter drawn up just waiting until all the information is together to finalise.

Thanks :)

I sure did...they said that the Tax Return was incomplete which is rubbish, they said that the bank statements wasn't for the entire time we were married so I need every single statement, I sent a bill showing we bought the car together, I sent two affidavits, photographs together, car insurance.

Any further documents to send?

Wow,

You have sent them more than enough documents in my opinion. WTH do they want? Did the RFE mentioned if they need something specifically???

I seriously cannot imagine what else they will need. As I said earlier, they probably realize they are so far behind and all they can do to show some progress is send you guys an RFE. The other options is that they have misplaced/lost your paperwork and since you are in the computer and they cannot find the paperwork(because they have lost it) they simply send you an RFE. Honestly after reading all the documents you have sent them on of the latter scenarios is quite possible.

Let us know when you sent them the package again, we will keep our fingers crossed for you

I was just doing some simple math based on cases that have been approved.

..................Min Days..........Max Days.........Average Days

CSC......... 103...................167...................124

VSC..........167....................224..................192

Clearly VSC is way behind but the interesting aspect of it is that the processing time at VSC is trending down from beginning of Sept to end of Sept while it's trending up at CSC during the same time period.

That is a great statistic. It clearly says it takes VSC approximately 60+ days more to do the same job as their co-workers in CSC. Also with the fact the VSC is in Vermont, I would say it is safe to assume they have at least 15-20 snow days a winter. Maybe it starts to snow in Sept there, this is why their processing times go down so much in this period. Let's say in May when it will be warm enough, they will be very motivated to work and hopefully get to Oct or even Nov cases before August:)

This is maybe due to the transferring of come cases from VSC to CSC during the time of processing september files.

In that case VSC had less cases to process and CSC more cases.

I would send a cover letter listing all the documents you have attached in the package. send them any and all including kitchen sink. I would overwhelm them. Including a bunch of pics with notes on it

See the trendline.

roughly six and a half month for vsc. sounds about right, looking at past approval dates here.

GemmaUK...Also ask for IRS official transcripts. These are official and are as complete as they come. Requests for the years you have been married.

This is the link make an account and get them

http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

Also the printed stuff from H&R block don't count for whatever reason. I only know that for sure, because we have provided them with copies of our 1040 and state tax and I am pretty sure they will RFE us for that, unless we get transferred to CSC soon. I am a Nov filer.

I'm very sorry to hear about your RFE, we filed about two weeks before you and we haven't heard anything so far.

My suggestions, maybe draw up Living will and/or Power of Attorney? Good to have in general. Mail/bills addressed to both of you, pictures, all bank statements, all the other things you've named sounded good!

Are both of you on the title of the car you bought together?

I hope this waiting game is over soon and you get approved quickly after responding to the RFE.

Good luck! :)

That's a lot of documents indeed! I also sent Tax Return printouts (a huge pile of paper) from TurboTax, not official IRS transcripts :(

Did you provide a rent agreement for the period of your marriage or a house/condo title that you own a property together and live in it?
