For those waiting, I sincerely recommend applying for naturalization. I'd probably still be waiting if I didn't. I had The combo interview and am finished with the process with a US passport in hand. The IO told me that my case got accelerated because I applied for N400

I became a citizen almost 2 years ago (May 2018), but still love to stop by this thread and read ALL of the wonderful stories we get to share with one another! ❤️ We've all come a long way, but I remember our life under DOMA, and what it did to us as if it were yesterday! 😪

Journey complete! My wife took the oath and became a U.S. citizen on 16 January 2020. 😊

Congratulations! And, it's so awesome that your husband could get time to return and attend with you. 
 
They scheduled her ceremony on-site after the interview. It's tomorrow morning. The letter showed up in the online account today. 

We were treated very well throughout the whole process as well. My citizenship application last year (YES, UNDER President Donald Trump!!) took 5 months. So don't believe the liberal ####### you hear. I am gay AND black and FROM Africa.
 
It is not an easy process and you have to be VERY organized. Government employees like everything in order, submitted online clearly, well labelled and CORRECT. Don't make them hunt around for things.

Parabens on the wait finally being over. What a wonderful way to start the weekend. Enjoy the freedom from USCIS until you file the N400.  Fortunately the documentation and the wait is much more chill compared to AOS and ROC.

Congrats! Hopefully that will be my husband and I too. But we are still waiting the decision of I751. We were transferred to Potomac in May and had hoped for a decision within one month like two others from our June 2018 group but are still waiting as of today. We may go ahead and start the N400 soon if no status change. We were originally planning to have done it already but did not want to change the outcome of the transger based on the previous two of our group's outcomes.

Today I received a MSM and email stating that New card is been produce!!!! What a great birthday present!!!!! 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃

Thanks! Fingers crossed for you that it will come in the next few weeks. We'd also been considering submitting the N-400 application in advance of the ROC approval, but opted to wait a bit longer. I think, if we hadn't received it by the end of July, we would have done that. Fortunately, we didn't have to go that route; it was approved pretty much a year to the date of the June 2018 submission; her application wasn't transferred. We were given an estimated wait of 4 months (Baltimore FO), so once biometrics are done next week we're going to try to push it to the back of our minds for a while.

I noticed you entry into the US was almost 4 months after us.  I'm sure you will have the ROC very soon.  I'm not sure how we received the ROC faster than expected, but our process started in 2013 and it took forever to get the visa because of some complications.  Keep us informed.  We need to support each other.  Once completely done, its quite a relief to have the citizenship and US Passport in hand.

@Amadia @Beddy2015 I hope so too. I was thinking the transfer was going to speed it up and then others at VSC started getting aporoved without transfer and we are still waiting. Hope it happens for all of us.
