Uhh... I don't think you should be lecturing the original poster on being patient and thankful, considering you received your NOA2 in a month!! You didn't have to endure the pain and frustration of waiting several months simply due to the incompetence of the Texas service center. I am the tax paying US citizen who paid the same fees to bring my fiance over, so I do consider it my "right" to be processed in a timely and efficient manner. It may be a "privilege" as you say to bring your fiance over, but we are only talking about them looking at our applications for God's sake! The disparity between Texas and CSC is outrageous and we have every right to complain. Especially the person who waited a year to be approved.. nobody should have to go through that, when others are approved in weeks. It is simply ineptitude on the service center's fault and not fair. And I was one of the "lucky" ones approved after 6 months at TSC. Good luck OP, I hope you get your approval soon.

Thanks... I think we did make a mistake in payments actually... He apparently was reading something older on visa journey that said payment was $1010 and it looks like it's actually $1070. Hopefully we get the package back soon and it is rectified.

    Hi guys,
Keep your spirits up - it will happen!
Had my interview at the London Embassy yesterday and was approved. Planning to fly next weekend.
This journey is a marathon and arguably the hardest thing you'll ever go through together but I really believe it sets us all up for the future. What could be more challenging than this?!
    Cheers.

VJ statistics for those with an NOA1 date in March-
    CSC-
127 out of 138 petitions have received their NOA2
    72 with visa approval
    34 days average between NOA1 & NOA2

    TSC-
102 out of 206 petitions have received their NOA2
    11 with visa approval
    163 days average between NOA1 & NOA2

The data on this site is only good as long as people correctly enter their info. Because there are a lot of CSC filers putting in TSC as their service center, it 'pollutes' the data and makes the estimates rather useless. :/
I really think that the VJ admins should consider changing the forms so that members have to enter the first 3 letters of their uscis case number (WAC for California, SRC for Texas) in their timeline instead of picking a service center. This simple change would eliminate this problem and I believe it's been suggested many times, but it's never been done.

I'm glad to see you have your NOA2-

    Just My Opinion:
Last Thursday was the first day of mysterious 'No Approvals'. Friday was the same, and Hannah of IF was confused. Then on Saturday, all Case Status pages went blank for a few hours, even those already approved and sent on to DOS. They came back online a few hours later, and mine went from 'Approved' before the crash, to 'Sent to DOS' after the crash, and then back to 'Approved' about an hour later. Since then, almost ZERO Approvals.
    My guess:
I am an AutoCAD and Tekla user, and work on a workstation computer that is tied into a Network Server. I think that Adjudicators at TSC work in the same way. However, if the Network Server goes down, it is possible to continue working on individual Desk Workstations as if nothing was broken, and only the overall accumulation of Data at the Server is delayed. I think that the TSC server that handles the Approvals is having issues, and a work order is in the works. I think that Approvals are still happening, and the data is on individual workstations at the many Adjudicator's desks, but cannot be updated and entered into the system until after the Server is repaired. If my supposition is correct, when the problem is eventually corrected, we may well see what appears to be a miraculous record number of Approvals in a single day. Normal approval rate was hovering around the 50 per day mark, so look for an accumulation of about 50 per day coming forward from last Thursday, up to the day of the Server coming back online.
Or, maybe they're in the midst of a Pinochle Championship, and just don't want to do their jobs.....
    Just my 2-cents worth.

Only 4 Approvals yesterday. . . . this shortly after a zero day approval. . . We KNOW They're not lacking for files to adjudicate.... Some that have been waiting 230+ days. . . .So how do they justify their paychecks...?

Woot, some movement! I'm hoping our case will get sent to NVC this week...
Meanwhile I've been checking out form DS-160 and collecting all the info I will need to complete it. It seems I need to list all of my past visits to the US! There have been something like 30 border crossings, some dating back to the early 1990s when I went on holiday with my family as a child. I hope I don't forget any! Many of those were crossing by land so I don't always have record of the dates in my old passports. I'll need to ask my mom and hope she has the dates in her records somewhere...
    Congrats!

He was jumping up an down praying and carrying on!!! It was your story that stuck in my head! Lol, I'm so glad and happy right now!!! Thank you!!! I can wait to get that number so we can schedule the Medicals.

naddy got a reaction from Unshakable Faith in Wondering about processing times for K-1 visa applications at SRC
They are either some sort of expedite, or more likely people who filled out their timeline incorrectly. I would estimate at least 20% of filers that are actually at CSC think that because they sent their application to the LOCKBOX in Texas, they are in Texas. Rest assured, if you see an approval from Jun-August on Igor's list that says TSC, they are actually at CSC. I have sent a couple of them messages to fix their timeline, because it screws up the estimated processing time for the rest of us that are actually stuck in Texas.

I am cheering for you and I am holding my breath at the same time. Seriously, nothing would make me happier than seeing anyone in this exile get their NOA2 already. I'd be happier if it is me, but I am cheering for everybody at this point. Continued strength to all the March 2015 filers at the TSC.

If you are certain you want a particular venue talk to them. Explain your predicament. See if they can include in the contract that if you are not approved in time that any monetary funds paid can be transferred to another date. That is what I did, my venue was able to include a provision that my (Feb) date can be transferred to any other date in 2016 as long as I did not cancel. Good luck!
