You met a woman in Bogata last week and is already considering engagement and K-1 visa?!?!?! That is gonna be a big red flag for US immigrations, not to mention the language barrier you two have. Your best bet is definitely to spend some more time together and the F-1 sounds like a good plan. That way, you can get to know each other better and she can learn English. Both of which will help you with a potential future immigration process.

Three bickering/assaultive posts have been removed. One post that had quoted one of those messages is returned to the thread with the quote edited out, as follows:
Note to all: There has been quite enough assaultive posting behavior by TSC filers against CSC filers recently. Avoid letting the frustration of the immigration process adversely affect harmony on the site, or violations of the Terms of Service will be enforced. The VJ Terms of Service can be found here:

Bickering over the different service centers will not help you get a faster approval....
It takes 15-30 minutes to look at a case and approve it.
Organization had really nothing to do with why this case was approved so fast.
It is because the CSC is not back logged like TSC.
A case at TSC takes longer to be seen which is why the approval rates are 6 months+ and that CSC is faster because they are not and therefore petitions are seen sooner.
Don't get mad over something that people who go to CSC can not help and the fact that TSC is ridiculously slow.
Congratulations to the OP- it's great to see approvals from either center.

Giving up after only just filing last June ? Seriously ? It took us 5 years from meeting to finally being together. We were in AP for 16 months
and then our case was denied and returned. We filed again and were approved. It was a rough journey. If you can't handle your delay for 6 months then
yes it is better to quit now. Not sure why you even started in the first place with that 'giving up' attitude.....perhaps it was not a real love but a fling because
true love endures all, especially a few months or year of waiting.
Just shaking my head at the instant microwave expectations when it comes to some people's visa journeys.
Reality check....yours is not a nightmare but the normal procedure, come on, one months of waiting after the interview ?!

Yes, SSDI can be used. It is income. It is non-taxable though, so you must provide proof of the income amount you receive. A benefits letter/statement from the SSA that lists the amount you receive, plus your SSA 1099, and even bank statements showing the amount that is deposited each month can be used for this purpose. If they do not see it on the Total Income, line 22, of your latest 1040, then they may overlook it, which is why you have to provide as much proof as you can of the non-taxable income you receive.
Assets can be listed. There is a place on the I-134 to list your assets, so list all you have. You just need to convince the CO that the intending immigrant will not become a public charge once in the US.

1.) As of right now it seems like Manila is not requiring I-134, But I would have it if needed.
2.) Yes Manila does accept Co-Sponsors and it is on case by case basis
I will let some one else who is more about SSDI and IRA roll over handle the rest of the questions.....

helaofthenorns got a reaction from RobertandNene in Why is Philippines auto expedited
I think this topic is becoming very unfair towards us Filipinos.
Did we ask and should we be thankful that we were hit by a typhoon that killed thousands of people and destroyed millions worth or properties? Why should this be taken against us? Is this just a case of sourgraping? People becoming too frustrated with the pace of their own applications in different service centers?
Whatever the case is, why can't you all just be happy for other people who now have the chance to be with the people they love? Whether applications from our country are being expedited or not, that doesn't mean that yours is being left behind.
Stop thinking ill of other countries.

A signature is any mark intended to authenticate. It could be an X if you want it to be, as long as you could tell it was the X that you made and not someone else's.
