OP clearly stated she doesn't believe his story. She wanted to hear if other people have heard of someone using this "explanation" since his mother apparently talk just as crazy. Seems like it's in the family.
OP, as tough as it is, you need to let go. Nothing good will come out of this relationship with him.
He sounds like, if he tells the story often enough, he convinced himself it's the truth and expects you to believe it too. People like this can get pretty upset if you don't but their bs. I'm talking from experience with a family member...

It's possible that he's uneducated about how reproduction works and believes a lie that some lady told him.
    or
It's possible that he's lying to you about when the relationship ended.
it's up to you what to do with that information. I hope you do what's best for you. Best of luck.

This hasn't anything to do being from where he is from, my dear. This has everything to do with him cheating on you though, and lying, and... sending up a lot of red flags. So, if you are a smart woman, that knows simple math and reproduction, you know that what he's saying to you is a lie... and not even a good one. I mean, I've had some men tell me some doozies... but this... For your own sanity, for your own safety, even for your own sexual health, back far away.
Unless of course he will then tell you he was a sperm donor (no I'm not being facetious). Because seriously, that's the only magical way this could have happened.
So to answer your question: no, it's not possible.

Tbqh, if he is upset that you don't believe this insane lie then... well he could lie to you about a lot worse.

NORMALLY, the longest between sex and implantation is a couple of weeks. Sperm can, depending on some studies, live in the woman anywhere from a week to 9 or 10 days, so at any point there if she ovulated she could end up becoming pregnant without having sex within those last 9-10 days.

But seriously though, If I was with a guy who thought I was stupid enough that his sperm could live in this woman for a year, with bathing, periods and expulsion of the uterine lining. I'd leave him.

There are some things that are red flags for how someone will treat another in a relationship. This is def one of them.

Edit: Biology isn't a cultural or a regional thing. Her body works the same as yours, his sperm works the same as most normal men in the world. Being Haitian should have absolutely no effect on sperm living inside a woman for over a year. If this guy were from any other country or a country that is more educated per se, would you believe it?

That said, I'm pretty sure even third world cultures know how creating a baby works. Yeah they may think a baby is an incarnation of god, but most people, even under educated or third world country people who have strict religious beliefs generally know how conception works, we've been doing it for quite a long time!

Edit edit: At the same time though I would honestly have a hard time being able to be with someone who believed they could get impregnanted by a man 2 and a half years after the deed is done. What other belief's could they have that is generally considered wrong on all ends of the spectrums.

Just had my interview this morning and it was APPROVED!!! Interview was at Federal Plaza, New York City- 7:45am. Arrived there at 7am, there was already a line for security check. Checked In (8th Flr) and was called around 8am. Interview lasted for about 20 mins...
    Questions:
    1. How many amendments does the constitution have?
    2. Who makes federal laws?
    3. What is the name of the vice-president?
    4. What is the highest court in the US?
    5. Why did the colonists fight the British?
    6. What group of people was taken to America and sold as slaves?
Then the officer went through my application, checked if I was consistent with my info I guess.. I was asked for my green card and passport and IRS transcripts.. was asked about my work too.. that's basically what I can remember.. then she typed on her computer then after awhile she said.. Congratulations, you have been approved. She told me to wait for the oath taking schedule in the mail, that should come in about 2 weeks..... Wheeeew almost done! Thank you to this group for all the important info and tips!

Arrived 5min before the scheduled time, checked in and waited less than 2min to get called in, there were no more than 4 people waiting with me in the room. Interviewer was an older gentleman (50s I think), he was not rude but wasn't in a great mood, just going through the motions of a tedious job. I was able to hear parts of the conversation of another interview in a different office and the interviewer sounded a lot more cheerful and relaxed.
He started by the paperwork, took my passport, ID and green card, asked a weird question as how much I paid for rent and if I lived alone, everything else was pretty standard as he was going through my application. It took him probably 15-20min to work on the paperwork. I signed all the paperwork and he moved on to the testing, he started by asking me to read a question and writing down the answer he dictated, 3 words sentence. Then I got my civics questions: What's the name of the ocean on the East coast? How many senators in the senate? Name a state bordering Mexico? What's the age range for selective service? What's the capital of the US? Name a senator of your state?
I believe I got them all correct because he only did those 6 questions. He then did some more quick computer work and said he was recommending me for approval to his supervisor and I should have a decision in the mail. The whole process took about 40min and not stressful at all....
I'm hoping to get an email or letter in the mail soon with a confirmed approval! Fingers crossed!

Stop worrying (I know I know I know!) But seriously. And again just to say, the only time they asked him about me being his girlfriend was his very first time here. Any other times they worried more about what food he was bringing rather than who I was. I don't know if they keep a database or anything about who you go to see but they never seemed concerned. A few times they would advise not to get married on the VWP, and especially so when he started calling me his fiancé. And again the money thing wasn't a huge deal either. You aren't staying at a hotel, and if they ask you where you'll be staying I think it's logical that the traveler would not need vast sums of cash.
Personally I would say it's never good to lie to an IO. Saying you will only stay for two weeks and then you actually intend to stay longer is different than having some circumstances change that require you stay longer. I'm sure people do it, even innocently enough, and it's a technically allowed thing. But it just feels dishonest to me to not tell the truth, and if you're nervous from the get-go that will make it worse. Keep in mind we have always been firm believers in travel insurance as additional evidence (they seemed to like that for some reason), which usually is for the duration of your stay. If you feel more secure with a letter from your girlfriend I don't see how it would hurt. You seem to be bringing more cash than my guy ever had on his person and an employer letter.
It would be disingenuous to say that being refused doesn't happen. I'm sure it does to many an unlucky person, but chances are it won't. In fact, I'm willing to bet you'd have a lot easier time of it, than if your girlfriend came to visit you. For reference, I only had about £250 on hand + bank account on one of the trips I made to the UK using about 70 days, and staying at his house. I survived with plenty of gifts to haul back and we made lots of trips with money spare. Likewise, he never brings a ton of cash on hand, a few hundred at most and relies on his bank account if there is need for more.
Certainly if you were staying at a hotel or resort for that amount of time with a rental car, trips, and eating out every night then yes you're going to have a problem with money. But if you're hanging at home with your gal, none of this is needed.
I think the suggestion of giving yourself some leeway with the amount of time you stay is wise though. You never know if you should need to delay a flight due to illness or bad weather. Who knows. You absolutely don't want to risk an overstay.

Guys, as much as I appreciate it, I'll take my chance telling them I'm staying for 80+ days rather than doing the two week scheme. I'm sure it's easy, but I'll take my chances telling the whole truth.

I think you'll be fine. I have visited my fiance on VWP twice and I told them I'll be there for 3 months visiting my fiance. They didn't care. Only thing they cared about in my case was whether or not I was coming on the VWP or the student visa I had. They did ask what I do for a living but they were not interested in knowing how much money I had (which was pretty much nothing).
But it will always depend on what officer you get. I always fly into IAD (Dulles International Airport) and they are always super nice.

That's a terrible idea as he doesn't plan on going back in 2 weeks, as soon as they ask how long does he plan on staying and he says about 80 days or so that will be a huge red flag as they will say how come your return ticket is in 2 weeks? He just need to be honest all the way and preferably keep his cool and not be too nervous about it.

OP I suggest you not get a letter from g/friend , it ,ay
indicate immigrant intent, be aware they will take you (at times)
to pull the balance on the CC you say you have & check cash
you are carrying once you tell them you will be spending all that
time, your job letter should be clear & concise about time and you
return to work, carry paystubs. Clear text messages B4 traveling
just a precaution some innocent texts can be misconstrued by CBP.
