Southwest, the best!  In an out of Buffalo in 5-10 minutes.  Usually one stop; either Chicago or Vegas.  Pretty sweet flight.  Usually done in 6:50 hrs.   Best prices and flight times that I've found.  If your from the GTA I totally understand why you choose YYZ but if your not then BUF might be a better choice.  I have Nexus so the border wait is minimal!!

As for other carriers, nothing direct unless you fly from the big smokes like LAX, SFO, LAS.  If I recall correctly your from SMF, and I don't think you find anything direct from there.

    Thanks for the info!

Pearson is a connecting airport for me, but I figure with just over 2.5 hours to spare on my layover I should be fine! If it is the same secondary area that I had for my original K1 crossing, I am somewhat familiar with where it is! Glad to hear it did not take long and it was just a matter of them verifying your status. I will be sure to go with that in mind.

Best of luck to you and everyone else still waiting!

@Trenz my wait at secondary was not too long - might have been 10 mins at the most . There were only 2 others so it may have helped. Surprisingly  security/ US customs was sparse considering it was Saturday around 9am .   Going to US customs, normally you 1st have to visit a machine where you would scan your passport/GC or such but since I had no GC , I just told and showed the person that I had a stamp and was directed to  a line that was basically next to the other line ( I am not sure what that line was for).  When the officer was telling me that I had to go to secondary , I said I did not have any of my documents as that would be a huge folder and he said no worries, all they are going to do is validating my status as all my information is in the system ! ( we hope!! :-) )

Just head to the airport with enough time just in case. I know it is not fun to wait around but if you are going through terminal 1, it has been renovated so there are nicer seating areas; places to plug in/recharge your devices; if you have no devices there are ipads to use.

@mrs thb Yes strange to feed the humidity again after  CA/ RENO weather, eh?   Flew to Buffalo - that is with  Southwest? I would love to find a better way to get home . Always having to do a connection which bothers the heck out of me.

Hopefully we will get our 10yr GC by Christmas.

Thanks for keeping in touch.  I'm still waiting.

Yah, t'was me.  Went home and loved the 84F weather but hated....just hated, the humidity.  Great to be with my Canadian family once again.

Flew thru Buffalo and no problem at Fort Erie.  Went back and forth twice to get the DH, he came a few days after me.  No problems either time. A breeze.  Did not get asked for additional documents; they were 100% satisfied with the stamp.

Fingers crossed I have my new card by Christmas....just a hassle telling them there's a stamp in the passport.

And, yah, right.....if you had your old GC......you'd think this system would be sound by now.  Kind of scary that it's not.

It would be nice if everyone updated timelines so the questions didn't have to be asked over and over... and the immigration timeline page is all based on the timelines, so the more people add timelines, the better picture you see of when you'll expect an approval.

But, not everyone uses this community for timeline tracking. Some people are using it as a forum to talk with people that are going through similar processes, or to read about other experiences, make connections with people from the same country, ask questions, etc etc. ON top of that, not everyone that applies is on VJ. So you are seeing a small percentage of people overall and then even smaller percentage of people actively providing updates, timelines, etc.

Can't force it... and honestly, it wouldn't matter anyways. I think we've proven with timelines on here, discussion and stalking the USCIS case statuses that this doesn't go in order. Just because people that applied around the time you did have been approved doesn't mean you will be at the same time. There are still people from 2016 waiting on approvals and there are people that applied in Aug-17 getting approvals. Every case is different

And for those that are interested - NOA1 date is July 27, 2017 CSC. No updates online except for initial receipt in July and the February transfer to local office. Email updates last said action last taken in April. I'm glad some people are getting some approvals though, that is awesome!

Folks, timelines are fine, but . . .

ROCinNC gave us all the important info in concise form.
His info is all anyone needs to see the progress.
    EAC tells Vermont filer.
    292 tells the July date.

I don't want to go look at someone's timeline on another page.
Would be great if everyone included a timeline of sorts in their signature like I do, but absent that . . .  EAC17292 tells it all.
All I have to do is compare his critical number 292 to my wife's of 297 and both are EAC (Vermont).

    So thanks to ROCinNC.

I received a text alert and e-mail that says there was an update to my case, I kept myself together til I checked the online tracker and there it is showing "New Card Is Being Produced".

    NOA date: July 25th
    Filing Office: VSC Case
    Number: EAC17298
Didn't get an interview, haven't filed for n400 either.

I hope people will receive the same great news soon 💖🙏🙏🙏

I just got my 10 year in the mail today. Last week to my surprise I got a mail from USCIS stating they lifted the restriction and didn’t require for interview. I called to verify and it was indeed approve as of 09/20/2018. The website didn’t have any update at all other than they waived the fee.

Thank you very much. For those of you that are still waiting it will take time I just didn’t stress myself about it no more and I didn’t do calls to USCIS. Your green cards will come provided you don’t have any problem with your documents.

Hi all, long time lurker here. I am not big on posting, but I wanted to give hope to the California filers. My husband filed on 7/14/17. Back in March there was an update that the case was moved to a local office. Last night we got an update alert that his card was being produced   Today another update that his ROC case was approved (a little backward yes, but we'll take it). He had no interview. Good luck to all those still waiting!

Learned to be like a duck and let things roll right off back when I filed for I-130.
Watching others who filed months (like I mean 5-8 months) soar past me only made me bitter and doubtful.  Not good feelings.
The most productive thing to do was to 'let it go'.
    And I did.
There is nothing one can do about this process but wait.

would be so nice if there were different threads for July fillers divided to Vermont and California fillers, as well as the ones that applied for n400 and those who didn’t.
Every time I read someone from Vermont getting approved I’m getting happy for them but on the same time I’m getting bitter too 😑
