Zero charge
The great lie of every National Health Care system.. 'its free'. LOL taxes much???
In the US they are free also. State/local health clinics do it, for free. And if you marry its also free under every health care plan.
Most people who are paying are not posting the cost of the vaccines they are getting. So this is really a typical VJ 'I did it, but won't post any actual information that could help others'.
There is no great issue with getting a CS to transcribe, there is literally an ACTIVE tread about it on VJ. Most places seem to charge about $30-$50.
So if you are paying significantly more than that for shots in a foreign country (and again, no one seems to be posting the costs) it's a point to consider. I've already paid for (previous AOS) the BS 'health exam' (lol no, its a health SCREENING) and for the cost its a complete joke. In Vietnam the 'exam' is $260 PLUS if you pay for the shots.

Your focus seems to be saving money, certainly for me the ones I had missing were free to get done, I assume she could get them done at relatively low cost compared to the US if she has to pay at all.
And they are done. You can file to adjust without another issue.
Otherwise you come to the US, have to find a Surgeon who will not overcharge, many seem to insist on doing the full medical and charge accordingly, travel to that Surgeon, get the paperwork done maybe recover some of the costs of the injections from your Insurer but have to pay the balance.
Seems a no brainer.
You assumptions can be wrong. In the US you can (married or not) get the vaccinations done for free by a state or local health office. Even TB testing.
You do know VJ has a running list of CS that 'don't rip you off' for transcription services???
You should reconsider your position, as they are not very accurate.

you need to remember that not having vaccines not only places the individual at risk, it also places everyone with a weakened immune system that comes into contact with them at risk young and old
Yeah, but many people ARE vaccinated but can't PROVE it. Sure you can get titters done for some, but not all.
TB cannot be vaccinated against. Only treated if you have active TB. My ex-wife had latent TB from China, didn't worry about it all.

I would suggest she get the vaccines before leaving her home country, it’s far cheaper and a lot less paperwork..
Ok, what is the cost for a full panel?
In the US, VACCINATIONS ARE FREE due to Obama care. At most you need to pay a few bucks for a CS to update the medical form.

Hello guys, im facing the same situation right now.
They gave my wife a 221g blue slip asking the same stuff but states in the letter that once we have gather all information schedule an appointment at the Consulate to submit the requested documents.
NOW MAY I ASK. If my case had to go through AP, they would have told her at the first interview right? I know it's possible that the case will have to go through AP after our 2nd appointment. I'm hoping mine will goes the same as yours did. ANY EXPERIENCE?
This thread started almost a year ago, and there is the consulate's web site that has almost the exact same info (although OP did everyone a major solid by going into detail).
Sorry you got 221'd, but its not like a little research wouldn't have mitigated it.
Keep checking VJ and this forum specifically.. like 2-3 times a week.

That said, in general the US does not tax assets.
My property and school taxes would like a word with you.
When I lived in SC the value of your vehicle determined your annual registration (not a flat fee like in PA).
Lots of assets are taxed... to many if you ask me.

I don't think there is anything special about the lines, other than putting citizens in a quicker line. There is not much to ask a USC returning, so it is quicker. A non-citizen could take longer to verify paperwork, ask questions etc. I would be 10000% surprised if they didn't let a USC in either line... its your time to waste.
I have Global Entry so I never notice the wait times.

You're referring to a multiple filer waiver. Assuming there's no criminal history, you will request a "general waiver" as opposed to an extraordinary or mandatory.
You can/should write the waiver yourself because you know the details of your past better than an attorney. Your goal in this letter is to show them that despite having petitioned 2x in the past, your current relationship is genuine and explain the situations surrounding the past petitions. I've seen lots of information doing a google search on how to prepare this letter.
I don't think you understand the IMBRA General waiver (and yes, I submitted a General waiver as part of my I-129F I submitted in 12/2019).
OP triggered the 'filed two or more I-129Fs' clause. This is not criminal. Just state what the resolution of the previous I-129Fs are. The first petition expired. Easy. The second one was denied to due lack of bonafied relationship, this will take some explanation.
From the INSTRUCTIONS:
Item Number 5.a. General Waiver. If you have never been convicted of a violent criminal offense against a person or persons, submit evidence to show why a waiver is appropriate in your case.
A general waiver is appropriate for OP FOR THE FIRST PETITION because the petition (and he should list the A numbers, names and birth dates of the beneficiaries, and the case numbers) expired. He should have a letter from USCIS stating this. There was no claim of violence or abuse, just expired.
A general waiver for second petition is appropriate as the ONLY other waivers require committing or conviction of a violent criminal offense. OP will have the burden of explaining why the petition was denied and explain why the 221(g) reasons were not fraud. Basically this is your chance to to tell the USCIS adjudicator why the consulate CO was wrong in his assumption. This evidence would be a letter from the woman, a letter from OP, and even a letter from the man that the CO though was part of the problem.
I would not hire a lawyer, this is simple enough.
The only other option would be IR/CR-1.
-
Reading the form I can't see how this will assist the CO in determining public charge.
How can a K1 beneficiary answer Part 2 4A? Do most K1s pop off a marriage in the first 30 days? I don't plan to.
And assets in a foreign country? Its not like the IRS can take bank funds or land from a Vietnamese citizen.
I get what the form is trying to do, but its pretty laughable when you read the form.
Fill it out, along with that ridiculous 'list your entire family' paper the VN Consulate wants.. for reasons.
-
I think the first round (or few weeks) of ppl going to interviews will bear the brunt of the confusion.
From my reading, the K1 is not held to the same standard because K1 use the I-134 and not the legally binding I-864.
So as posted above, the CO MAY want to see it, in addition to the I-134. But the I-134 is not legally binding on the petitioner and uses lower income numbers.
Until the consulates update their required K1 visa paperwork pages, I would fill it out just in case.
-
Remember that if there are kids, each one will need an account and pay the visa fee, the medical fee.
When you schedule the appointment, make sure you have the documents for the kids to enter the consulate.
-
I listed 15 States and 3 foreign countries.
Be complete and thorough. The background checks they run on you are Federal level.. so its all in there if you don't list it. I have not read about anyone getting an RFE on VJ about it, but its easy enough to list the places you do remember.

3 leg 30 hour journey to or from SE Asia
what backwards budget airline are you flying?
Read the VJ timelines. Don't buy any tickets until you get the passport in your hand with the visa in it.

What 'glitch'?
If you get a 221(g) your visa has been REFUSED. As many people how have/can read have stated, the web site, up until 3/3 was incorrect.
Whats telling is all these people getting 221(g)'s have not read read the paperwork they are given, which clearly state the visa was refused.

I paid 50 USD for the shots (and if my personal circumstances were different, I could have had it for free, but that's not your business). It might cost hundreds of dollars elsewhere
The ACA makes them free. Really. No one should be paying for the 'standard' vaccinations. REALLY. I mean you CAN if you find someone who wants to take your money, but they are free, 100% free. All. day. long.
Now overseas those same vaccinations can cost money, and you are lied to about needing them. There is no legal reason to have them for the K1 visa.

If it were up to me, I would love to have done it myself and save a pretty penny. However, I am needing a co-sponsor when it comes to the I-134, and she insisted that I'd get a lawyer and she'd feel comfortable having one to go through this process with me. So, here I am.
A lawyer has no special insight to the I-134 sponsor issue. The instructions are quite clear.
Immigration lawyers mainly feed on your fear of rejection. I hope you didn't pay a multi-thousand dollar retainer (I was quoted $5k for my first wife's AOS paperwork from an Immigration lawyer in Philly). I told my wife SHE could pay it, but I wasn't. I can read and write.. got her conditional green card with absolutely no issues.

We ignore outliers and use statistical approach. Nothing as basic as means or medians :).
Well, do you cull out entries that are otherwise dead?
Are the results on a sliding window or since the site started?
Grabbing the fist 100 results for a K1 query shows some very large outliers:
Tram & Michael 43 days?
Tran & Jeff 42 days?
Ngoc & Cuong 1499 days?
What constitutes an outlier? X days? Its nice to have an idea what the time is (although USCIS also does).
Since I filled out my timeline my 'NOA2 date' has slipped from March 3rd to April 8th. Really? 30 day change in less than a few weeks?

Not doing vaccinations during K-1 medical doesn't make K-1 more simple coz you need to have the medical anyway.
Doing the vaccinations during K-1 DOES make the AOS simpler, if you apply within 1 year, coz then you don't need to see a doctor (a US Civil Surgeon) again.
What instructions have I not read, according to you?
Lets see.. free in the US or several hundred dollars abroad? Hmm...
I've already done an AOS with my first wife. ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES. Every city has a public health office or if you have health insurance a Rite-Aid or some such.
You are just regurgitating what the VJ hive mind thinks is right. There is a cheaper and better way.

Actually, I said AOS simpler and it had zero affect on the k1.
If I had followed your advice the AOS process would have actually cost me more actual cash money even before factoring in time away from work chasing down free or low cost vaccinations UNNECESSARILY
Getting free vaccinations is easy. Getting a CS to transfer them is 10 minutes of work. The prices charged in some countries make it worth the effort to do it in the US.
You do you.

Speaking of unnecessary risks. Maybe a CBP Officer looks closely at POE and decides since the alien isn’t vaccinated she isn’t coming in.
Wow, just wow. I mean can you spread any more mis-information? Now if the person was visibly ill, ok. But not vaccinated? You are really not well informed about things.

“May” is not “must”I go by this rule of thumb:
* If someone is asking if a wet signature from a petitioner is needed for an consular form it is because that country’s postal system is terrible.
* The consular office is also likely aware that the local postal system is terrible. In such offices you will find that they don’t do this packet 1. 2, 3, 4 nonsense. It is all done over email and/or drop boxes.
So if OP is asking then it is likely that it is because mailing stuff between the USA and country of OP’s beneficiary is hit or miss and mostly miss.
By all means try to mail an I-134 with a wet signature if it worries you but don’t expect it to arrive.
My wife’s country barely has street numbers. She had no idea what the street number on her residence was. Nor its postal code. And the embassy did everything over email.
Btw refusing vaccinations is just a bad idea.
Wow you just jumped in and never read a thing, didn't ya?
There is a choice of I-864 or I-134F. You can submit either at the HCMC consulate. That's why is said you 'may' file an I-134F. The I-134F is going to be phased out, as its only used for one or two visas, the K1 being one. The I-864 is a legally binding document of support, the I-134 is not, its just informational. With Trump changing the 'Public Charge' rules hopefully the I-134F will go away and filter out more people who simply will go straight to welfare.
Your thumbs are not very smart.

But there are a few outlier that are messing up the average. Not sure what method they use, but median would be a better number than average, and a curve would be best.
Plan on a year. If its less, yay. If it more, oh well.
