  1. I do! I pass it every day! You should let me know when you're in the area!

I'm trying to get Peter to visit in February too. I want him to be able to experience a little bit of my pregnancy at least (I have an ultrasound set for a day in Feb :) ) If he does visit, all he needs is just a return flight and he should be okay, right??

I'm sorry visiting is so difficult, I can only imagine. I'm sure that isn't a cheap trip at all! Hopefully Turkey does work out!

Congrats on your pregnancy! I'm about 99% sure that I will be making a trip to Morocco now in February. Just need to get the thumbs up from my boss. It's a little more pricey, but a couple extra hundred dollars in my lifetime won't matter.

I'll definitely let you know when I'm in the area. I know no one in real life that is experiencing this journey, so it would be nice to meet someone in person :)

Seeing that your fiancé is from Ireland, he should just need a return flight. Pretty sure Ireland's in the visa waiver program, as I never needed a visa when I visited Ireland.

  2. I feel that our relationship struggles at times too because of this.. I think the busy holiday season isn't helping either with us not having as much time as normal for each other! Hopefully that gets back to normal soon. That would be amazing if TSC starts getting a little faster... definitely don't want to get our hopes up though.

Totally agree with you. The holidays and the distance is tough. It's extremely expensive for me to travel to Morocco, and it's nearly impossible for him to get a tourist visa to the US. I have been trying to get my SO to take a trip to Turkey in February because he doesn't need a visa there and it's not too expensive for us, but we will see. If we don't get to take this trip, I'm really not sure when we will see each other next and that's pretty frustrating.

Thanks to everyone to hearing me whine a little :) I know you all understand!

BTW Jules - Do you live near Dahlgren? I'm there from time to time for work :)

  3. 11/21 was my last touch :(... I've heard from thread here that TSC will speed up after the new year. Wonder if any of you guys know this news?

I've heard this rumor as well, but I'm taking it with a grain of salt. I'm only going to assume that things will speed up in January only because the holidays are over and most federal employees will be back in the office starting 5 January (I'm a fed who works in DC and most of us aren't working right now).

Thanks for the support guys ..im glad I found this forum...its hard talking to those who dont understand the stress of it all ...I wish 90 day fiance would show anlil more of what we go through with the process . Any way ibkno spring will beg here soon without a doubt

I definitely understand where you're coming from. The stress is taking a toll on me and I'm starting to have issues in my relationship that stem from it. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one whose relationship is having issues, but at least we have this forum where we can go to each other for support :)

  4. Hi,

    Starting my journey

    November 17th 2014: I-129f submitted

November 19th 2014: Tracking states delivered via FedEx

November 24th 2014: Electronic Notification of NOA1 (Texas)

November 26th 2014: Hard copy of NOA1 received

    waiting...

It looks like Texas cases take a longer time for NOA2 notices than other processing centers.. Any hope here...

Hi there and congrats on starting the journey. Yes, us TSC filers have about a 5-6 month wait ahead of us so we should see any RFEs and/or NOA2s in March/April. You can also join us at the Nov TSC filers thread (not that we don't love our fellow CSC nov k1 filers) at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/525507-november-2014-filers-texas-service-center/page-3#entry7406071 .

  5. Just want to say I watched all the episodes of 90 Day Fiance, wow and wow. What a hot mess.

Also if it makes you feel better (like it did me) I contacted both my senators on the unfair comparison in time frames. Both wrote back and one specifically said he submitted an inquiry on my behalf for my fiance. It says he will have an answer in 25-30 days. I'm sure it will lead to nowhere but it does make me feel better.

Yes, some of the cases are just a mess. Gives hope to some of us whose fiancés come from high fraud countries that we will actually stand a chance getting approved :). I definitely may write them starting in February. It'll be 3 months since our noa2... Which means most of our CSC nov filers should be getting their medical and interviews done then :-/

  6. Hey guys! Just wanted to share an update on our NOA2, we actually got it today in the mail (with a notice date of 12/23/14). It was ridiculously fast, it went through TSC and we had a turn around period of just over 30 days! We were very surprised to get it so soon, we were expecting it to show up around February or March.

Congrats! Not to belittle it, but you've been expedited due to being from the Philippines. Congrats again!

  7. Hello fellow November filers...

We mailed our paperwork on Nov 7 and even though it was supposed to be there on Nov 10, it didn't arrive until Nov 13th. However, it was processed quickly through DHS once it got there. We received a NOA2 date of Dec 4!

After waiting a couple weeks, I tried calling NVC on Dec 18th about an hour before closing. Every call attempt went straight to the message saying to try again later. The next day I started calling about 4:30 pm EST and it only took a couple of attempts before I was put in the queue. I was on hold for 53 minutes before I was connected with a representative. He tried several ways to find my case, but determined it hadn't been received (or put in the system) yet. I was instructed to call back in a couple of weeks. He said sometimes DHS is a bit slow actually shipping out the approved document.

BTW: how does one get your timeline to show up at the bottom of your posts?

Best of luck to all of you...

Click "my profile" (usually on top right near your username). Once you're at your profile page, click "edit profile" on the left, then click signature.

  8. i can't believe it i think we got an NOA2, i haven't received an email/text but the case status on there website reads

On December 18, 2014, we approved your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E)

does this mean are petition was approved??? whats next??? i wasn't expecting this to happen this fast its the best birthday present ever!!

Congrats! Can you update your profile and timeline? Looks like you're from California, but your service center shows Texas (it would be california if you live in Cali). It's helpful to keep estimates accurate :) thanks

  9. Thanks Cristin for the info....Sigh, I also just noticed on my estimated time(which was originally January 2015-March 2015) based on when my application was received that it has now changed to March 2015-May 2015. All we can do is wait. I was warned before by a friend who had told me that Texas processing was the slowest so we were hoping for Vermont which did hers really fast but no dice, lol

Im not good at all this forum and thread stuff how do I get to the other thread you mentioned above?

Yeah... my estimated time has moved from December, then to January, then to March/April, and now it's March-May. Take this with a grain of salt.

Standard processing time for TSC is 5 months, so even if you call the hotline and try to get a Tier2 worker, all they will do until April is tell you you're still within the normal processing times. It's unfortunate, but I also just read in the July 2014 TSC thread that a USCIS representative said that processing times should improve in January. We will see.

Forgot to mention that Vermont used to be pretty slow, but they no longer process K1s (I believe K3s). We're all hoping for a transfer of applications from Texas to California as the processing times have slowly become worse and worse.

Here's the link to the other thread - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/525507-november-2014-filers-texas-service-center/

It's not very active, as we really don't have much activity going on with our applications. I would expect more and more once the Spring is here.

  10. We are in the same place as you. I'm getting notifications of people going through TSC that are getting their NOA2's in a month but as Cristin describes, it's likely these are expedited cases or transferred to CSC. It's a shame that VJ can't store that information, kinda raises false hope!

    e.g.

    TSC > http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?cfl=&id=197758

    TSC > http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?cfl=&id=181017

    TSC > CSC > http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?cfl=&id=196958

    TSC > CSC > http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?cfl=&id=194298

    TSC > CSC > http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?cfl=&id=190736

    etc.

I have signed up to receive alerts when the case is "touched", just got to cross the fingers and toes!

Thanks for mentioning the cases that are "transferred" or really were just CSC to begin with (this is why accurate timelines are so important). Always forget about them :)

  11. I submitted my I-129f and it was received at the Texas processing center on 11/10/14. Ive been anxiously checking my receipt number each day and still nothing. So the other day I went to the page that shows the Texas processing times and it says May 2014 for I-129F was the last one that was processed and the page was updated on 10/31/14. So does that mean that between May 2014 and 10/31/14 no I29F's were processed??? I would appreciate any insight..Im feeling bummed lately after reading that.

Good news... TSC has pretty much completed files submitted in June 2014 and are working on July 2014 right now. Bad news, yes... (for the most part) no I-129F's have been processed from June/July 2014 to today. The only exceptions are for expedited cases, such as military or beneficiary's from the Philippines (due to the Tsunami last year).

Not trying to be a downer, but we have about a 5-6 month wait for us to receive our NOA2s. We have a separate November K1 TSC thread as well if you want to join us :)

  12. It's been quiet on here today.. I guess not much news with it being the sunday right before Christmas!

ha, I think I might spend most of my day today on here. I work in an office of about 120, and it looks like only 30 of us are here :) I might also spend some time looking for flights/hotels to Istanbul, as I think I've convinced Soufiane to take a long weekend trip there in February (he doesn't need a visa there) :)

On a plane to Mexico City! If that's news worthy haha. See you guys in a couple weeks

Have fun! Enjoy your time together :)

  13. Hello fellow fliers,

I have been MIA and looks like a lot of people got their NOA2 approvals. CONGRATULATIONS to you all very excited and happy for you all. :) :) :) hopefully I can get my NOA2 text/email alert before Christmas. Is the USCIS usually closed during the holidays?

Federal employees have the 25th and 26th off, as well as 1 January.

I don't know what's the norm in Texas or California or another department, but the agency I work for most of us have either started our leave or will begin on Wednesday. Most will be off until 2 January. Again, I'm a federal employee, but work in DC and for an agency in a completely different department than the USCIS... So it may be a little different.

  14. Hello December Filers!

I sent in our I-129F on Dec. 1st , they recieved our packet on December 4th, I got email confirmation on Dec. 8th and then I recieved the NOA1 on Dec. 15th.

Now I guess it's just a waiting game? Anyone know how long this portion may take? I think checking the website daily for any updates is what's driving me crazy!

    -A

I'm a November filer, but unfortunately if you're at TSC this portion of waiting for your NOA2 may take 5-6 months. For the most part they're processing June 2014 filer applications (with the exception of expedited cases like military and applications for Filipino fiancés). Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

  15. I'm sorry my love! I completely feel your pain. I haven't seen my fiance since August and I most likely won't see him until spring break. Keep your head up and be strong... This journey may be long, but it won't last forever?

Thanks! I'm hoping for a quick trip to Turkey for a visit (he doesn't need a visa and it's fairly inexpensive for both of us) in February, but we'll see. :)

  16. Thank you for this thread! While its lovely to see all CSC people getting approved, its a bit annoying to know we'll be waiting for our NOA2 around April-May unless some miracle happens!

-1 month down (for me) and 5 more to go ????

Yeah, I thought it was important to have our own thread. I really like the nov 2014 one, but i feel like it's only CSC people. Super happy for them already getting NOA2s, but they won't understand. Also a little jealous seeing many people being able to spend their holidays with their SO. We won't even try for a tourist visa because it's almost impossible to get one for him. Here's hoping the upcoming months go by quickly.

  17. Nice, we didn't go up that far, we pretty much crossed the entire country south of Dublin up and down so I told him we're roadtripping the north when I fly in again. :)

Welcome to the board! No offense to all of the awesome, lucky people at CSC but I'm glad I have another person on here with an Irish fiance at TSC, everytime someone gets approved in a month it's kinda depressing :(

I hear ya. This is why I made the november 2014 k1 TSC filers forum a couple weeks ago. While it sucks, it's nice to know there are others who understand how you're feeling.
