  1. Hi everyone

first of all congrats to everyone who got good updated news on thier cases and good luck to whom is still waiting , we got our Noa2 last monday the 12th , iam planing to go to morocco on the 26th to see my family and bring both birth and police certificates , as i know in morocco we can get two different types of birth certificate , a summarised one which include applicant´s full name , place of birth , date of birth , nationality , parents names , stamped and signed , and other one with more datails for instance applicant´s date of birth (in lunar year too ) , Parents date of birth + (in Lunar year too ) , parents prefession ,parents nationalities , and finally parents place of birth , stamped and signed as well , iam wondering which one may interest the US embassy in Spain , any help or advise would be appreciated , thank you

I was wondering about this too. I'm not sure how spain will be but I'm going to email the moroccan consulate and ask whether the short version or if they need the detailed version. My SO is being a little bit of a pain and says he doesn't know of the detailed version, so I figured I will just ask the consulate myself :)

  2. Hey all!! I got my RFE today!! It says we both have to submit our "intent to marry" in his foreign language. Then have be translated in english and have translator certify it. I'm a little confused. I don't think it has to be typed up only in english thought.

That is the weirdest request I've seen. I guess he will need to write it in Arabic and have an official translator translate to English (just like he has to for his birth certificate). Looks like I'm going to do this when I'm in Morocco just in case this happens to us... Super weird though that they would ask for the intent in Arabic and then in English when you already gave it in English.

  3. I hate to say, that as of right now... they're not very "happy" about us. I am significantly older than him, different religion, and have previously been married (our red flags). I know they are very kind and I'm sure they're just as interested to finally meet me as I am them. So, least to say, this is going to be interesting. But I am VERY excited to meet them and looking forward to it. I wish it was easier for them (MENA countries) to visit us. I've never realized how much I take for granted my ability to travel whenever and almost literally WHEREVER I want in the world. They don't have that at all...

I hear ya. Every day I get asked, "well why can't he come here?" and I have to explain that it's impossible for him to get a work visa and just as hard for him to get a tourist visa because he can't prove that he won't stay here illegally. Same thing with him getting a Schengen visa if he wanted to visit the EU.

It's definitely opened my eyes as to how difficult is it for most of the world population to travel. Unless you're from like... the UK, EU, Australia, Canada, and some Asian countries, you're pretty much limited as to where you can go w/o a visa. Hell - I know he can't even go to Algeria (which is right next door) without one.

Good luck with meeting the family. I'm not familiar with the Egyptian culture, but I hope they will be more accepting once you meet.

  4. So will that information be sent to his e-mail that I provided on the electronic document form with my initial submission? Or will I receive a copy of that transcript as well? When I received NOA1 (hardcopy), that field in the receipt was still blank.

Sorry to inundate you with questions, some of this stuff is confusing because there's so much and waiting for something to pop out of thin air kind of wares on my already non-existent patience, haha. :)

It's ok, you're not a bother :) You won't have the ARN until your NOA2. I believe it is provided only on the hard copy NOA2, not the email or text messages (if you chose to receive these). The ARN field is also blank on my NOA1.

Seeing that your beneficiary is from the UK and you're assigned to the CSC, you'll probably have your fiancé here before mine comes :) One day I might just be asking you questions!

  5. I know that our "file" is in transit to Egypt. :) ... Now the BAD thing is I've heard that Egypt is SUPPPPPER backlogged about 3-5 months. :(( So I'm expecting to have a LONG wait for the fiance to get his interview. :clock: As you know, Egypt is a HIGH fraud / red flag country and we have some.. :((

I think I also mentioned that I go back to Egypt in March to meet the family... ((nervous))...

Are you taking this as an opportunity to bring over everything for him to take to the interview? I'm creating a binder that literally has everything and anything the interviewer could want. I also have a 4 page list of questions/answers that I've seen on VJ (if you want the questions, let me know) just so he's prepared.

That's exciting about meeting the family! Do you know much about them? Soufiane's family is amazing. I'm sure his will be, too! I hope you have a similar experience to mine :)

  6. For everyone waiting for there NOA2 you might want to start filling your application for police reports (certificate of good conduct/Police certificate) for your fiance if you're consulate requires it. It says it takes 1-2 months to process the request, at least in Malaysia it does. It's validate up to 1 year and will save you time later.

Be careful with this. This does not apply to each embassy/consulate. For example, Morocco will only accept police certificates that are within 3 months of the interview date. Please make sure to check the requirements of your beneficiary's embassy.

When do you typically receive information about the alien registration number? Between NOA1 and NOA2? Who receives the information, the petitioner or the beneficiary?

The number will be on your NOA2 which the petitioner receives. I randomly called the automated hotline in December and was told that the last action was the ARN # changed. It will not tell you the number, though.

  7. FABULOUS!!!!!!!

Thanks, Ronnie. Any news on your front?

Which airport are ya flying out of? Peter will be here February 6-15 and flying in and outta Reagan.... Wouldn't that be funny to be there at the same time!

Hi Jules :) I'm flying out of Dulles (unfortunately... I live like 5 minutes from Reagan).

Hey guys I hope everyone is doing well...im happy to see that some of us are traveling to spend time with our loved ones.I truly wish I could do the same...however I am a first year teacher and I dont get to take many days off sadly...

I'm sorry to hear this :( Be strong... just remember, TSC folks are down 2 months already!

  8. hi Vj member,

I was just wondering how to check my status for any update of my visa.

    thank you in advance

Not sure where you are in the process since you don't have at timeline yet (please make sure to fill out :)), but if you have your NOA1 it includes your case number (WACXXXXXXXX or SRCXXXXXXX). Type this in at this link and it will tell you the status - https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do.

  9. Hello

Please help, we forgot to send the G-1145 form in our K1 visa application package (3 weeks ago).

How can we track or do follow up to our process? What would be the next step? Are we still going to get a notification NOA1 .. or it goes directly to NOA2.

    Thank you for you help.

I forgot my G-1145 as well and it drove me crazy. As you can see in my timeline, I knew the package was received on 11/3 and I received my hard copy NOA1 10 days later in the mail. You should receive yours soon if you factor in the holidays. If you sent a check with your package, check to see when/if it has been cashed. The date on my NOA1 was 11/5 and my check cleared on 11/6, so this was a good indicator as to when I was going to receive the hard copy.

  10. Thank you ! yes I definitely will. I just wonder what else they need.... The only things i did not provide in the petition was my phone calls and chat logs... Good luck to you as well! I hope you get answer soon or a transfer..

Don't worry about it... it won't help you until you see the actual reason. Maybe you forgot something simple :) Thanks for the kind words... not thinking we are getting a transfer, but at least I will be back in Morocco in a month! If you're thinking of visiting... fares are very cheap right now for whatever reason.

  11. Have you tried looking at the case file numbers that are a digit before and after yours on the USCIS website? It might show that they're also not approved ye

Request for Additional Evidence Notice Was Mailed

On January 3, 2015, we suspended processing of your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number WACXXXXXXXXXX, because we need more information from you. Your notice explains what we need from you to resume working on your case.

Although it's not an NOA2, at least you have notification that you have an RFE. Please let us know what the request is once you've receive the notification in the mail. good luck :)

  12. Quick question - I'm taking the opportunity on my trip to provide some of the original items my SO will need once it comes time for his interview. Just read the guide and it looks like the only item that needs an original signature is the second intent to marry letter. I also just got my 2014 W2 so I'll give that and my last tax return to him while I'm there.

Is there any other item I'm missing that he would need an original of once he gets to the interview? Don't think so, but want to check.

  13. That's exciting!! Hope it is a easy trip through customs!! Peter should be booking his ticket Friday for a visit in February!! We may not be getting our NOA2 right away but thank goodness we have something soon to look forward to :)

ha... we will see. The last time I went through customs I actually had the same officer (arrival & departure) who remembered how clueless I was and realized it was my first time in the country (thankfully he took pity on me). I'm SO used to UK/EU customs who don't question why I'm traveling :)

Very exciting about you and Peter!

  14. Hey guys quick was I supposed to receive a ARN number for my case after receiving my NOA1 or no....just curious I received NOA1 on November 18.

From my understanding you receive the ARN on the NOA2. I only know that our ARN changed because I randomly called the automatic hotline in early December and it said the last time it was touched was to change the ARN.

  15. I'm in the same boat as you... Ours was sent nov 12th, NOA1 nov 19th, and received by CSC as well. NO WORD as of today, I was also wondering the same with who's desk it lands on or slips thru... So I guess CSC is not really any better... Well I hope we all get our NOA2 soon sometime next week!!! I heard NVC is a lot faster than USCIS...

Have you tried looking at the case file numbers that are a digit before and after yours on the USCIS website? It might show that they're also not approved yet?
