    Hi All,

My experience was similar. Arrive 15 minutes before hand. They wont let you in before that. I showed my appointment letter to the security person. I was asked to wait to be called by the IO. In the office with the IO we began with the reading test.

I was asked to read: Where is the White House?

Then to write: The White House is in Washington DC

    Then the civics test:
    1) Name 2 American holidays
    2) What did the Emancipation Proclamation do
    3) Who was the first President?
    4) Who is the speaker of the house of representatives
    5) Name one branch of government
    6) When is Independence Day

After completing the tests we proceeded to go through my N-400 Application. At the end I was told I was approved for Naturalization and my Oath would be done the same day.  I was directed back to the waiting area where I filled out a white form asking about any changes such as travel and criminality since the interview (5 minutes ago lol). As well as a space to write in my current home address, and where the local USCIS office is located. I returned the form to the person at a window along with many other people. It seems like everyone there was for naturalization. After some time small groups were called to do the oath in the ceremony room socially distanced of course.

We then received small American flags, a packet with new citizen info, Passport forms, our naturalization certificate, and a letter from the president. I was surprised to see how much information was on the certificate. My picture from biometrics was on there! (This was reused from ROC). They also listed marital status, date of naturalization, country of former citizenship and a whole bunch of other information.

Hope this helps! It will all work out well

    Hi Everyone,

I am happy to announce that I am officially done and have completed my visa journey lol. I was naturalized today and I'm happy it is done. The interview was good. It was a small socially distanced oath ceremony with no friends/family allowed. I received my certificate of naturalization today. Now I'm applying for my passport. Good luck everyone! I hope you get your interview dates soon! All the best

    Hi Everyone,

Just filed today. Looking forward to finishing the process.

Same, I got the same payment confirmation email and nothing else. I'm sure more will come. Hopefully the first NOA does come in 8 days.

Do you guys think we will have a lot of delays getting a biometrics appointment?

    Hi Everyone,

Congrats to all those who finally got their new card. Good luck to those who are still waiting.

I just got approved on the 6th and I got the card today. Very happy the wait is finally over. All the best.

I did not get a request for interview, and was not transferred to Potomac. My status went from no updates available to approved directly on the 6th. Thanks for all of your help and support everyone.

You mentioned a translator. Was that at the embassy? The questions are quite simple - which street did she live on, what does she study. Did he need a translator for these? If so, they may be wondering how you two communicate if his comprehension of and ability in English are such that he needs a translator for those questions.
Just my thought when I read the word "translator".
Or could it be that the translator messed up with the answers?

When you put it that way, I agree! How dare he bore you so. You sacrificed bringing him here and married him, and even got him a bank account that he fills with his money earned by working! He should have stayed in his home country.
I suggest you write to USCIS and tell them about this fraud ASAP. He works, bought a car, and saves money. We don't need people like this in the US. He sounds highly suspect. I think he's up to no good. The first clue is that he STOPPED buying you flowers. That's definitely suspicious.
Also, he can't assimilate to American life. We ALL eat on the couch, and watch tv all day long. And drink different juices! I think he'll fail with ROC because the juice issue shows your marriage is fake. Who won't drink different juices? Only a fraudster.

B and E got a reaction from Alimanu in CEAC Status?
I had the same status as you right after my K1 interview and approval. After about 2 days on "READY" my status changed to "ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING". I think most people's statuses change form AP to "ISSUED" after about a day or o but my CEAC status only changed to "ISSUED" at noon on the day I was asked to come back for my visa by the consulate.
Other tips to see if things are moving along are, to look at the top of the visa status box to see if the heading has changed from "IMMIGRANT" to "NON-IMMIGRANT" visa. When this change happens it means you are getting closer to being issued your K1 visa.
Another thing is checking the "Case creation date". If the date has been updated to a more recent case creation, that also means you have almost arrived at the coveted issued status.
    Hope this helps.

    B and E got a reaction from ChelAnnan31 in Ghana K1 questions?
    Hello everyone,
I posted a while ago, and thanks for the previous replies. So we are at the point where we will be doing the K1 visa process. We would like to start our file processing for June 2015. We just had some questions specifically referring to the Ghana consulate. We have been through the forums for this embassy a couple times and had some questions as a result. Hopefully you guys can help us out. This is for the I-129F package:
    1) For proof of ongoing relationship, we have had a lot of stateside time, and minimal long distance time thankfully. We have a lot of photos, tons of texts, some call records, Skype chat logs. etc. Should we still provide around 50-80 ideal pictures when we file the I-129F? We are aware about the guides recommendation for 2-5 pictures and we would like more evidence than necessary though. So what is the ideal number to send for the first submission? Also the printouts of our text messages, Skype conversations, are several hundred pages. Should we print them and include them at this stage or wait until the interview to submit them? How many pages of texts should we submit with the I-129F? Again we like lots of evidence. Card photocopies as well?
    2)
for the foreign spouse's G-325A, she will be out of the country when we would like to file (June), can I sign the document for her and date it? or does she need to send a signed and scanned document for that submission?
    3)
Is it ok to give photo copies of cards like birthdays, holidays? We don't want them to damage our original cards or keep them.
Thanks for the help everyone, we look forward to hearing from you. Especially those of you with experience with the Ghana consulate because we have seen some of the experiences at this consulate with the people not bothering to look at pages of evidence. Thanks.
    -B and E
