Mag&Chef got a reaction from MadeForEachOther_ in November 2017 I-751 Filers
    Hello All,

I wanted to share a summary of my experience here for Combo Interview. (yesterday June 18)

    - GC- (18 months) extension letter expiring on july 31st.
    - I-751 send to Vermont, a year later Dec-2018 transferred to texas, called USCIS May 2019 for status, file back to vermont.
    - Received Invitation for N-400 interview for June 18-2019,
    - ROC-OO processing time - sent an inquiry to speedup the process on May.
    - 3 weeks later received email saying will have Combo interview, need to be there both of us (wife-husband).
    - Attended the interview yesterday in Mount laurel (NJ) :
    * first IO called us both, asked for IDs, then asked just the applicant the spouse can wait in the waiting room, if need they will ask to came.
    * After swearing, explained the process , then start with I-751 interview, this part was very difficult for me , because all document were ok, and just don't understand why it has been waiting so long to be completed.
    * IO verified documents from a huge file on her desk and taping informations on her computer, from time to time she just confirm with me what have been provided (said: you provided this and this ..... right?) , asked questions about how we met, about both families (number-place of living), any travels together,  updated tax return information, already provided, but I added 2018.this verification and update lasted 20mn,
    * IO  said now we will go through the N-400 interview: oat-6 civic questions (who wrote independence convention, how many senates, citizen duty, what did Martin luther king Jr, who became president if neither President and VP are not available, and why we fought against british).
    * writing test: asked to read when is columbus day then write columbus day is on October ...
    * IO went through all Yes/No questions from N-400.
    * IO asked to read and sign sections from My N-400 where Ieft blanc, she write no response (it was not Applicable for me), then read and sign the oath and confirm all personnel information that should  appear in the citizenship certificate and signed.

Last, IO said that we are done now, Interview successful, print out the Interview result, then asked to wait for 3 weeks for the letter for ceremony. the reason is because of the I-751 needs to be approved first.

Today I checked the case status, its says still transferred on Dec 2018, but for my N-400 it says we approved your interview, last step is to wait for ceremony.

Once again a lot off patience is needed.

Thank you all for your help!!!

Mag and Chef: One VSC September 6 th, 2017 transfer to TSC and approved on Dec 19, 2018.  So around 15.5 to 16 months.  Since all service center are anywhere from 15.5 to 22. 5 months, not sure workload sharing could improve processing time.

Thank you Dilip, I saw that in their website. for my case, received date is Nov 2017, I'm wondering if the 15.8 to 18.5 start from nov 2017 or dec 2018 (date on the notice letter for  transfer to texas)

CONGRATULATION FOR ALL WHO RECEIVED GOOD NEWS AND HAPPY HOLIDAY TIME 👨‍👩‍👧

Decided to log in to the USCIS account this morning to see if there  were any update and saw that they APPROVED our case yesterday!!!  I signed up for email and text alerts but I didn't receive any.

Now my question is, does anyone know if they will do the i551 stamp in my husband's passport now that he has been approved? I recall reading somewhere that they won't do the stamp if  they see an approval in the system. Problem is that his driver's license expires on 3/24 (because DDS used the NOA date instead of the GC date for expiration). Infopass is scheduled for 3/26. I'm sure he won't receive the actual green card in hand for a few weeks, at least. Thoughts/advice anyone?

Just wanted to pass along some feedback : I sent my passport off using Fedex May25. Got there in Racine Jun 5( delay due to Memorial Day weekend).  Saw charge on my credit card Jun 12. Received my new passport (10yrs!) today Jun 15!   Man , I almost kissed the Fedex delivery guy as I was so happy to get my passports ( old and new one)  back .

So I had a few issues today while sending away the renewal for my Canadian passport.  First of all, my local UPS had no idea what the phone number was, and neither did I!  The government page that tells you where to send the passport for renewal didn't have it listed anywhere in plain sight (unless I'm blind.)  Fedex had it in their system but cost me twice as much to ship!  ($45 vs $22)  Granted it'll get there Wednesday, vs next Wednesday but I was okay with the extra week for $23.   Photos already cost me $37 plus gas to drive to the place that does that with almost no rejections.  On top of the passport being $100 more because I'm mailing from the USA.

For future reference for everyone who's renewing from the USA, and want to use a courier so you can track where your passport is going:

For anyone interested I got my passport back today.  Fedex has tried to deliver it the last 3 days but I wasn't home until today. So that was pretty darn quick.  Fastest Ive had in Canada was 3 weeks.

both of us got financial help, because we enrolled in obamacare on october 2015, (my husband's insurance stopped on september 2015).
yes we included my foreign income for 2015, but since we used the exemption, and married Filing jointly, this helped a lot and finally we got a nice taxable income, will not hurt us, we overestimate household income for 2015, thanks god.

Sorry to hear that, you are blessed to find out now better then later.
its is a Schengen visa issued from France embassy in Kingston (for EU countries) and it is a visitor visa © for 90 days, and he was granted this visa easly since he already have US visa on his passport.
be aware that he will came to US after 90 days if you don't cancel his visa, cause he is not allowed to work or study with visitor visa..
For the driver seat, he can drive over there if he asked for international Driving licence in Kingston.( i know that is possible for people from other countries to drive at EU countries as a visitor)
    Good luck
