  1. Has anyone with interviews scheduled this last week received their email and letter? I haven't so just wondering....I haven't even received the case complete email yet....

It's weird that you didn't receive the case complete email. Those typically go out 5 business days after case complete.

The interview email seems to be less predictable but will usually be sent within 1-5 business days as well.

Have you been receiving other emails from NVC? Have you looked in your spam folder?

I read on here somewhere in the past few weeks that if you get your case complete and then they book an interview for you right after your case was complete then you don't tend to get a case complete email, only an interview email. How many days since your interview was scheduled LRKO? If it has been less than 5 business days (keep in mind Monday they were closed) then don't worry yet!

  2. My CEAC status still says "at NVC" and my interview is on Nov. 4. This really stressing me out. :/

Mine is still at NVC too, and my interview is Nov 3. I am sure the case will be there in time, but my hopes of getting an earlier interview date are vanishing. My husband (who has only seen our kids for a 3 week holiday in the last 7 months) is still hopeful I'll be able to request for one slightly earlier. And my 2 year old asks and cries for daddy multiple times per day. This on top of the uncertainty and not booking travel are starting to get to me! I keep telling myself we are nearly there, we are nearly there, just hold on.

  3. CEAC status changed to "In Transit" sometime in the last couple hours.

I don't see a last update timestamp. Does that show up after the status switches to "Ready" ?

CEAC site finally says "In Transit". Good bye NVC, Hello London Embassy. My husband also completed his medical today in London. So blessed to be able to tick off another step to POE.

Well the person working on the UK cases got their act together. Come on Canada! *fingers crossed* they send them off tomorrow/Friday!

Congratulations on moving on from the NVC! That is good cause for celebration!!

  4. Hey has anyone getting medical had to do the Hep A and B? Go back for the second round?

I am not sure if I understand your question, but, I had my medical last week in Canada. For ages 18-64 you don't need Hep A and Hep B as far as the chart on the doctor's website indicates:

    www.health1stmedical.ca

    >>click Immunizations for the US

The doctor did go through my history and input the dates on his new forms that I had immunities to both Hep A and Hep B as confirmed by a titer test I did in July. But, as far as I understand, if someone is 18-64 this would not be a requirement.

  5. Here is a very informative review of the Abu Dhabi POE procedures from June, complete with pictures. I think Abu Dhabi has the only POE facility in the Middle East, Asia and Africa, if I'm not mistaken.

    http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2014/06/02/abu-dhabi-airport-united-states-immigration-pre-clearance/

What a feeling !! I'm still giddy since my "Issued" earlier in the day.

Congratulations!! I hadn't read that yours got issued! Wonderful news!!

  6. Now come on now none of that. :sleepy: Remember I mentioned the PD (Receive date at USCIS) has alot to do with date you get.

When you have a boatload of folk with different CC's all in the queue for upcoming interviews PD's come in to play. Go look at all the folk for November for your embassy(people please do not compare your embassy to another its not the same) and look at their NOA1 days on their timeline.

Seems only fair someone who has been waiting almost 1/2 to 2 years getting a interview date before someone filing after them.

Also everyone needs to take account that NVC is not knowing that almost everyone wants a earlier date. Who knows maybe the embassy is saying hold on to those petitions so people wonlt call. Its the embassy that request when things get shipped to them. And well think of the case-files they already got there (remember visitor visa, business, and K1's and others we don;t even know about).

I know like Lagos Embassy conducts 400 to 500 visitor visa interviews per day. Imagine that. They have 4 to 5 IR1/CR1 and K1's Mon-Thursday. Now Nigeria has two embassies but only Lagos does IR1/CR1 and K1. So imagine their case load.

All you can do is wait and hope for the best. I have seen petitions sent out a week before interview. Be patient and at least you have a date. :goofy:

Thank you for your wisdom and insight. What would we do without you to guide us and calm us down when we are stressed?! Thank you. It is so easy to get so obsesive, self-centered, and focussed in this process and lose sight of the small victories - like how great it felt to even get a case complete, or to even get an interview date.

Congrats to the people who have just gotten their case completed, scheduled their interview, received their visas, or successfully been through POE!

  7. No, I didn't have an expedite. All I did different than most was electronic processing. Did you do EP or mail? The only thing I can think of is that they just forwarded my emails and that's why it was fast.

Thanks for answering. That totally makes sense! I was living in a different country when we started the process, so even when I changed to an MTL number they would not let me do electronic processing :( They said that since I started the process using regular mail filing, and some of my documents were received by mail that I had to continue to do mail filing. Oh well, we are almost there. I guess my documents have to be sent at some point, my interview is in less than three weeks now!

Ketsuban: Congratulations on getting your November interview!

Just to update everyone also waiting for NVC to ship their cases:

Our CEAC status is still "At NVC". It's been 33 days since case complete and 11 days since they scheduled the interview. As far as I can tell, we have the earliest UK CC date but the latest UK November interview date on the spreadsheet. Everything that could have gone wrong at NVC has gone wrong for us. I expect the embassy in London will have an emergency shutdown on November 21st and a volcano will erupt shortly thereafter in Iceland.

That is just so unfortunate. They really seem to like to make this the most miserable version of a beaurocratic nightmare possible for you.

  8. Just got off the phone with NVC. My case is STILL at NVC. They haven't shipped it off yet! Why??!! Oct 3 they scheduled my interview for Nov 3. Montreal, Canada.

Any other Canadians with Nov interviews having similar issues?

    Austincanada, has yours left yet?

Mandiimoose, did you have an expedite?

I am so pissed. At this rate I am going to have my medical results back (medical last week on Wednesday) before the case even leaves NVC.

  9. Hi everyone!

We had our interview on Wednesday and it was approved!

My son and I went to the interview with him.

I was a little nervous especially when I saw how they tough they were with someone before us.

But it was very easy :) just basic questions:

Where did you meet? How long have you been married? Have you been to the us? Where will you live? Is your son a citizen?

We had a problem with our sponsors 2013 income being low and they were going to request us to provide another sponsor, but I was able to show them that our sponsor made plenty in previous years and their assets and the co changed her mind right away and approved us :)

I just wanted to post this so I could let everyone know some things that were kind of weird.

When we got to the embassy they told us to give them copies of our i864 and tax papers. Since I sent to nvc it wasn't supposed to be required, but I brought a huge binder of all papers just in case so it wasn't a problem. I also brought our sponsors previous years taxes and assets and those actually saved us from being sent away.. So pleeeeeease everyone even if nvc says the papers are not required, just be prepared for anything :)

Congratulations!!! And thank you for sharing your experience!

  10. Small suggestion to the applicants.. if you case have a Joint Sponsor and he filing taxes jointly, Please carry ORIGINAL I864A from Joint Sponsor household member(income or no income) [or] must carry Joint Sponsor W2 recent year copies to avoid delays at Interviews..

NVC hasn't been catch this at their stage...

All the best for everyone.. Have a nice and long weekend..

Thank you for sharing this advice

  11. Well, mine still shows "NVC"! :bonk: I want to get the hell out of NVC now!:rofl::rofl:

Fellow Canadians, does your CEAC site show "NVC" or "In Transit"? :huh2:

Mine STILL says at NVC too. Ahh! It's that special day of the week that they should be sending them out right?! Friday!! I have heard CEAC delayed normally in getting updated but I really hope to see "in transit" soon. I do not have it in me to phone NVC to see if my case has been sent. Have any of the November interview people phoned NVC to see if their cases were sent out this week at all?

  12. thank you very much so i think i should wait until november 17 will be my 60 days  any way thank you and good luck

Sadly yes. I know. We all know. This process is never ending and sad. Good luck to you too. As AustinCanada said (below) go check in with the group in the NVC Filers - Oct 2014 thread (link below), you will find many more people facing the same annoying waiting period. Best of luck!

You can get more info on the "NVC Filers - Oct 2014" thread (since this is the Interview thread). http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/516671-nvc-filers-october-2014/. Good luck! :star:

    Agreed.

  13. i need some clarification please

i sent my aos package august 22 and my iv package september 17 so anything from nvc :clock: and i dont know if they combine both of packages ?? and if they give CC after 60 days from aos (augus 22)?? please help me thank you

I thought I saw someone else answer this question. Sorry if I am repeating an answer!

They are taking about 60 days from the last piece of mail you sent in. So 60 days from Sept 17. Then, IF it is correct (which is the scary part), and they don't need anything else to be sent, then your case should be complete. You can call them around that time, or wait about an extra 7 days later to get an email confirming it.

    Hope this helps.

  14. Thanks,

I found a post about medical exam in Paris (posted in March this year), and it looks like it is better that he gets vaccinations by a primary doctor before the medical exam.

I think it would be cheaper as vaccinations at the primary doctor should be covered by the insurance.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/483217-paris-medical-review/

Agreed! Yes, my doctor did a titer test to check my immunities and provided a new MMR shot for me free of charge. He then gave me all of the paperwork and I brought it with me to the Immigrant Visa doctor. I had my medical yesterday and everything went well! I won't hear the results of the blood and chest xray until after the weekend, but the check-up part went fine. They just wanted documentary evidence of my vaccinations and dates to enter into the forms they have to put in the sealed packet that I will later bring to the Embassy for my interview.

  15. My husband got an appointment at a doctor for medical exam, which he needs to do before his interview.

He says that he got an instruction from the doctor about vaccinations for immigration visa.

Does he need to see his primary doctor in order to get the vaccinations shots before seeing the doctor that the embassy has instructed to go? Or the doctor who does the visa medical exam can do the vaccination shots when he is there?

Hi need to get vaccinations from the visa medical exam and not from his primary doctor.

In Canada you have to get all the vaccinations done at your doctor and bring proof to the immigration medical doctor appointment

  16. Congrats. Still waiting for mine. I guess NVC is sending it out in batches.

I just received my p4 letter too yay

    I just received my P4 letter :D

    Hi,

I just got my interview letter by e-mail. Yeh!

So I guess that I can call and make an appointment for the medical. I'm still not all that sure of the process for that but I will read some more. Does anyone know how far in advance you must do your medical in Montreal?

    Thanks

Yay for interviews and interview letters! Congrats! EOC4ever, when did they schedule your interview (Friday or today?). They scheduled mine on friday, and I got it today - one business day later! I cannot believe NVC actually sent it this fast.

  17. Hubby is flying to Sydney this morning for his interview. We booked the 7.35am flight to get him to Sydney by 9.00am for an 11am appt. time. Plenty of time in case of any delays.

Was watching online to see his flight was boarding. Let out a sigh of relief that all is going to plan. Checked website a few minutes later and flight no longer listed as boarding. Odd. Get a phone call from hubby, they have unboarded (is that a word) the flight because of a mechanical fault. All other morning flights full. STRESSED!!!

They think it will take about an hour to resolve. This is going to put him down the wire to navigate his way from airport to consulate. Please everyone send your good vibes that he gets there on time or they let him still interview if he arrives a little late. We have been waiting 16 months for this day and can't afford (financially or emotionally) to reschedule this interview!

Oh my goodness that is sooooo stressful. I hope everything works out. What a nightmare! To get all the way to this point with all of the many delays and now this! Good luck I hope everything goes fine. No matter what time he actually gets there he should still go into the consulate.

  18. No interview date...I am so sad...

After one hour waiting on hold

No interview date so sad :(. :(

That mean i will wait till December interview ?!!

There might still be a chance! Don't lose hope. I honestly did not think I would get an interview date before the weekend. They only started scheduling interviews the last 2 days, there's still time! Have any other people from your same countries received interview dates? Good luck, and fingers crossed you get good news after the weekend.
