You probably got tagged for an interview because your evidence is a little thin, but it's not so thin that you'll get rejected. They probably just want to talk with you both about the marriage. Not a big deal. My wife and I just had a combo interview i751/n400. After verifying stuff that was already in our ROC  file he asked us if we had any further evidence and we gave him the most recent tax transcript. Then he asked us about our marriage and how our life was since we got married. Then I left the room and my wife finished the n400 part of the interview alone. It was really casual. The guy was very nice. I don't think you need to panic.

    thank you very much.

yeah my husband said i shouldn't worry since we'll be able to answer every question they'll ask us, our marriage is real. even at work i don't do business calls or personal meetings, it was mostly over email or if I have to I need preparation.. it's just a personality I have that I get easily shy/panicky and nervous but thank you for this. and thank you to everyone.

We called. They should be able to do it over the phone for you, as well; though, it may be different in PA.

yeah i was able to convince the lady on xfinity to add my name and said my name should be added on the bill on the 9th so i'll check that as soon as I can.

i will have my husband call our electric company then. thank you

For the condo, while they'll likely charge a fee, you can be added to the lease. Have your spouse contact the management company and let them know he wants his wife added to the lease. Xfinity doesn't make it easy to add a second person to the bill, but you should be able to do so with the electric company (they may run a credit check on you); let them know you want to be listed on the bills, not just reflected as having joint-responsibility in their system.

how did you do it with the electric company? do go to the office/call?

Wow, and you're surprised about the interview? It doesn't look like  you prepared for this application. Gather up as much of the official documentation and unofficial correspondence that you can showing that you live at the same address.

Actually, interview is better than RFE, IMHO.

I guess you are right, we don't have joint lease or mortgage I probably have only listed the stuff I sent that I can remember but I have also sent documents showing I live in the same address. It''s much better now because my paycheck are now directly sent to my address and things are only looking up for us very recently financially. Thank you for your advise, I'll gather as much evidence as I can

you really should get health insurance. IMHO that is a red flag considering the current climate about becoming a public charge

Yeah this was our mistake.. we should've done this.

Your husband has to add you to the bills, not you. It can be done. I added my husband to our internet, phone, electric, propane, etc.  He can also add you name to the lease or deed (mortgage.). It takes a bit of leg work, but, it can be done and should be done in your case. You can get a state ID that show you reside at the same address as him. And, you can be added to the car insurance even if you don’t drive. Good luck!

We once tried going to an xfinity office and we explained what we needed to do but we were turned down..we live in a condo and we had me as his emergency contact (spouse) and lives with  him in the condo.. however it was only done through the site. I took a screenshot of this. was able to do it last night since our condo changed management.

We sent in too our state IDs showing our same address.

You cannot add yourself to the bills. Only the current addressee can do so.

sorry i meant we not just me.. we'll do another attempt with the power and cable bill..

May I ask you ,  What evidence did you initially send with your I751 package? Don’t stress to much  , you will get it 🙏🏼

    I sent in:

    Tax transcripts

All bank statements from our joint account

Affidavits from his mom and my sister on law on my side

    pictures of us together

tickets of our trips to the philippines

    our costco membership

yeah i guess my evidence was thin, but we really didn't have anything put on the bill together because utility refused to put my name on it, we don't have a credit card never needed one, insurance once mentioned before can't really afford it right now, no kids, and our phone bill well, we use prepaid..

I really hope it'll be fine, I just don't want them being hostile. I love my husband and this marriage is real. I don't want to even think there's a chance i'm gonna be sent home because I don't want to be away from him.

What is there to worry about it your marriage is legitimate?  Chances of getting an interview are low considering a lot of people have had their 10 yr visa approved without one, but if you do questions will most likely be about your marriage and things listed on the forms, so just answer truthfully.

i am also worried because we really dont have health insurance, we can't afford it really right now and i don't drive so we dont share any insurance.. the bills we have i tried adding my self but they declined.. we do have years worth of bank statements and pictures and i don't know what else to show...

  6. Hi,

I am a May 2017 filer, and I have been waiting for an update on my case.. it has been a while so I asked help from one of our senators. After 5 working days, USCIS replied to them and said that our case was at the local office and will be getting an interview.. they have no schedule yet and they will send out the letter once they have set a date for us.

I am very sad and worried as I was hoping to not have to go through this, I'm fine with responding to RFE's and such.

Is there anyone who had i-751 interview without even filing for N400 and what questions did they ask you and what did you bring?

Thanks, any kind of help would be much appreciated.

I’m assuming you haven’t gotten your interview letter yet.

Once it comes in, it’ll have all the details such as date, time, what you should take with you, etc.

Don't worry about it. It’ll probably be okay.

Sometimes the scheduling doesn’t have to do with lack of evidence provided per say, but rather with how your local office processes most cases.

    thank you very much.

    428 days now.
    We filled June 13 2017.

How come people that applied later than me to same Vermont office got approved earlier?
Is anyone else waiting that's similar to my timeframe?

My lawyer told me that extension letter arrived to her office yesterday but no green card yet.

On April 9, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number EAC17257

    We received your case

Not even sure which website to track on anymore, looks messy.

I am a May VSC 2017 Filer and still waiting...

just a silly question, you don't get online notifications when such letter is sent out?

And don't worry, you will get an approval any day now, I don't think vsc filers go beyond 15 months.

both of the sites I check just either says "We received your case" or "Case Was Received At My Local Office".. the first one was updated july 13 and the other one April 9..

thank you, i hope so! it's a little worrying because almost 75% or more (too lazy to do the actual math :D) cases before and after me.. has had updates on theirs.. either an rfe, an interview or produced card. (this is based on the tracker app and I search 250 cases)

They won't give you a straight answer until it's been 16.5 months since you filed it, FYI. The reason is that they're lazy government employees who don't care about you and, unlike private sector employees, have no accountability. It's not because you're on a terror watchlist or they think you are committing marriage fraud or anything. Unfortunately, it'll get done when it gets done.

    thank you for the response.

I might just have to breathe in and out on this one. I check my case on both sites, the uscis gov one and the dhs one. I wish they make it uniform. The dhs one just had an update (July 13) that they are still reviewing my case. While gov just has the same thing since April.
