I know of a American man who married a Moroccan woman and once she came to the USA she disappeared after 2 weeks. He then married another Moroccan and she fled too once she came here.

Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if there's a timeframe for getting a RFE. I sent Adjustment of Status packet (my husband is here on K-1) on December 29, 2010. Our case since then has been transfered to California Service Center and my husband had Biometrics yesterday. Would we have had a RFE by now? or Can we get an RFE at anytime?
Thanks in advance
*Amirah*
It can happen at any time.

No. There is no time frame to file for AOS however it's recommended to file ASAP. The only requirement is to marry within the 90 days of POE, which you have done.

Congrats Monica ! Hopefully VISA IN HAND comes soon

i have emailed my senator twice with no response. not going to get help from them until i get home and can call them. i have always heard that if you are denied for a k1 visa there is no point in getting married and filing for marriage visa as getting married proves nothing.
FALSE Many cases have been approved 2nd time around(either k1 or CR1)
First your case was not "denied". The consulate sends it back to USCIS for recommendation, USCIS makes the decision. Should USCIS close your case you will have the opportunity to refile.

Sorry that this happened to you. No lawyer can help you at this point, they can only take your money. Once your case returns to USCIS they will review it. It's possible they could send you a NOID or close it and you could refile a k1 or marry and file a cr1 or re-approve it and send it back to Algeria. If you could contact your Senator/Congressman right now perhaps they could get it turned around. Do you have any letters from family and friends acknowledging your relationship? They are definitely not convinced right now.

I need to know all Forms I need to bring for the Day of Interview and which Affidavit of support is requested from the Consulate in Casablanca? the I 864 or I 134.thanks for ur help I want just to get ready and make sure its easy to fill everything correctly.
another qst how long I'll need to wait before to get my Interview date after the Consulate received my case?
Thanks to all of u VJ Family.
You will get the package from the Consulate within 1 to 2 weeks that they receive your case, it will tell you what to bring. Usually the interview can be 4 to 6 weeks from the time they receive it.

Yes the USC can enter the Consulate at any time however NEVER FOR A INTERVIEW in Morocco. There have been cases where the CO did ask for the petitioner to enter but on rare occasions. It's best to let the CO know that their other half is outside.

HI,
Me and my husband filed AOS documents early in December, I've got my biometrics done on January 5. On January 27,2011 I've got an email notification that an interview was scheduled on March 7, 2011 and the notice was mailed on January 27.Today is February 1, I haven't recieved the notice yet. I am very nervous... Could it had got lost in mail? What should I do to get this notice? An email notification has no information about documents needed or the place of the interview. Please, help, I am very nervous!!! Have it ever happened to anyone before? Thank you
Mail has been delayed due to the some weather issues, especially in the Northeast.

I am an American, my husband Moroccan. He was refused a visa a couple of weeks ago. The state dept official who interviewed him is the SAME woman on the you tube video under American Consulate Casablanca. It's also posted on this site. I was praying he would get her, she seemed so nice on the video. Well she isn't. She was rude,
abusive and depersonalized him. Horribly unprofessional. She told him "it's not real, you're doing this for papers". Disgusting that some low rent state dept official tries to
exercise power over people's lives. I have complained from Obama on down to everyone imaginable. Wafin.com has also posted our story. I've always loved my country but now I'm wondering.....what the heck are they doing???? I know so far this consulate has 33 or 34 complaints sitting in some senators office. I told my senators I want her job. And I want an apology as well for treating my wonderful husband like a cockroach.
Yup, I believe her VJ name is Malika, no?
Yep Malika215

That's actually from a VJ'er here.

You have to wait until it returns to USCIS. They will possible review it and request more evidence from you and if they approve they will send it back to the consulate. They can close it which then you can immediately refile. They can let it expire.

Also contact the better business bureau and file a claim.

What ever road you take with this young man be sure that there's going to be a road detour.
Whether it be K1 or CR1 there are going to be obstacles.
First it will be at least 6 to 12 months to get a interview once you file. If denied you're looking at another year or two...If approved (highly doubt this)your looking at AP time.
By the time he ever gets here your already in your 40's. Are you emotionally/physically ready to raise him?

I have to admit that I am happy the way things worked out for my husband and I. Being that we were denied the first time around really helped us learn more about each other. I could have re-filed immediately but somehow I just was guided to file 3 years later(perhaps extreme) but I saw that my fiance (then) was always by my side. Now if his intention is fraud then I can say he's a real good actor and should be up for an Oscar lol. So far things are better then I ever imagined. The dust has settled in and he's become more adapted to the culture here. I have not seen any red flags from him. I always remain positive, never showing him any doubt but I guess that would go for any relationship I was in. After all we've been through nothing seems impossible at this point.

No hidden fees. As long as you have texting on your plan you are good to go.

Just think you're always one day closer to him being with you in the USA. The day that he arrives will be a memorable one. In the mean time enjoy every minute

Do you live close to a airport? Try the food service companies at the airport, always hiring. It's not the best job but it's a start.
