  1. Hi May I ask how exactly did you go about moving/rescheduling the medical exam appointment to a sooner date ? Did you just keep checking the doctolib website and saw an earlier date available or how does it work ? thank you for your help
  2. Thank you so much for the information and congrats on the approval
  3. Hi. We are in the same situation. Noticed a mistake on the i864. How did it go for you ? Did you upload an updated form ? Was it accepted ?
  4. Hi there, so I’ve submitted my ds260 yesterday, now uploading all the civil documents. It’s asking me to upload „photos“. I’m assuming they’re wanting passport pictures of myself (beneficiary) ? I can’t find any information about this online. I have recent passport photos at home but they are on paper. Can I just scan those in at the Copy Shop and upload them or do I need to pay attention to pixels and stuff like that ? Because I don’t know how to do that at all. thanks for yours guys help !
  5. Thank you 🙏🏼 I can’t believe I didn’t see that, it says it right there lol ! thank you and have a great evening
  6. @pushbrk Do you have any information about this ? Your answers were always so helpful to me
  7. No the forms are NOT YET submitted as we are still waiting for my police certificate.
  8. Hi guys, so I have a question about something that’s making us a little nervous. My husband filled out and signed his affidavit of support form at the end of December last year. Our co sponsor filled out and signed her affidavit of support on February 25th. Those forms are ready to be uploaded and submitted online. All we are waiting for is my police certificate. I’ve applied for it about a month ago and still waiting. This takes very long in Germany right now due to Covid. Now I checked the USCIS website and noticed that they have updated the I-864 on March 1st. When my husband and our co sponsor signed their forms, they were technically “expired”. That’s what it said at the bottom of the form. But a newer version was not yet available at the time. now I’m worried if we can still upload the old forms as they are or if we have to fill out the updated version and do it all over again. Does anyone know if this will cause an RFE ? thank you all for your time and help
  9. Thank you for replying to my post. So you agree to use 2020 as the most recent tax year right now, correct ? The explanation about how to calculate current income was extremely helpful. Thank you very much. What about bonuses ? Our joint sponsor probably meets the requirements even without her bonuses but how do we calculate those in ? Also we were planning to attach recent pay stubs, would that be sufficient enough ? My final question is: Could the fact that my husband did not have any income the past 2 years and therefore was not required to file income taxes cause problems and/or lead to a denial ? Anyone here who’s been in the same situation ? Thank you all for your help
  10. Thank you very much for your reply. We will revise the forms and use 2020,2019 and 2018. Also, for question number 7. “My current individual annual income is:” do we just write down the adjusted gross income OF THE MOST RECENT tax return (which is the 2020 tax return) or how to we go about that ?
  11. Hi guys, so on January 3th my husband filled out and signed form i 864. for the three most recent tax years, he put the years 2021, 2020 and 2019. is this correct, or should we start with 2020 as the most recent tax year ? In his case it doesn’t make a big difference income wise because he did not have any income in 2021 and 2020 and we have a joint sponsor to help out. Our joint sponsor has also already filled out the form with 2021, 2020 and 2019 named as the most recent tax years. We are now waiting for her to file 2021 taxes in February (she already has a W-2 for 2021) and then attach the new tax transcript from 2021 along with the ones from 2020 and 2019. is this the correct way to go about it or should my husband and the joint sponsor put 2020, 2019 and 2018 as the most recent tax years ? We are unsure because it’s January and we don’t know if the NVC will accept 2021 as the most recent tax year yet. thank you for your time and help
  12. Oh, we did not know that. We thought that we could have up to two joint sponsors and figured - the more the better. Thank you for the information.
  13. Hello guys, so I have another question in regards to the affidavit of support. On the U.S department of state website is says “you must bring all of your original documents to your interview at the embassy”. Do they also mean the original affidavit of support (signed by the sponsor/joint sponsors) and their original documents like original tax returns etc.?? Also, my husband is going to have 2 joint sponsors helping us out since he does not meet the minimum income requirements. however I have some money saved up here in Germany on a savings account. Can this money help us meet the requirements as well and if so, on which form could I include my savings ?
  14. Hey guys, I’m trying to fill out form DS-260. My daughter and I currently live in Germany. My husband who is also my daughters father lives in the states. My daughter does have a U.S passport. On the form there is a line with the question: “is this child immigrating to the United States with you?” And I am unsure wether to put yes or no. Technically she is immigrating with me but then again she’s not really immigrating since she is a U.S citizen (?) I appreciate any help.
