In all honesty, I think I-751 interviews are a waste of resources. In the 1st quarter of FY 2019, it appears that only 3 percent of cases were initially denied........If those denied cases were then appealed & 75% were approved, the actual overall denial rate would be less than 1%..........so why even conduct them?
True because they ask for the same information. All the paperwork I sent to them is the same documentation I took. We have been married 4 years now and it's on the up and up. No fraud but our of love for each other. I just feel how can their perception determine if my marriage is real or not. Unfortunately there are some who do and because of them we have to jump thru hoops to prove our marriage is real.

@HGH is tracking cases. Several recent cases have not required interviews.....
That's great. Even though ours wasn't bad at all. Simple and to the point, I hear some arent that lucky.

Who told you this?
I read it on their website. Before the use to waive them if all was in order but I believe it said all applicants are now required to have an interview for ROC especially if your original one was waived for AOS and ours was.

Your timeline show you applied for ROC in oct 2017. That sound pretty long. Congrats it is finally over.
Yeah they were behind with the initial process for ROC. We g ou t to extension notifications. But the actual interview which they say is now required for all I751 was gonna be another 20 to 60 days before we knew anything. But the status was updated just 2 days after the interview. Glad its finally over. 😊

I’m curious did you also have an AOS interview?
No we got waived for that one.

My husband and I attended our Interview at the San Antonio Texas office. No questions other than how we met and verifying our address as we have moved a few times. After interview we were told it would be 30 to 60 days before hearing anything and yesterday evening I checked the status and it had already changed to Card being produced. Anyone else have that quick of a turn around?

Looks like an October CSC filer got an Update. This was posted in the I-751 September 2017 Filers section though but when I looked at their timeline it said CSC NOA: 2017-10-06. Maybe we can all see some movement soon. My logic is that since we recieved these new 18 month extension letters and a standard RFE usually has a response time of around 90 days (which would put us halfway through the new extension) we should be getting some traction soon. Within the next month or so. But who knows these days!
Well our letter got returned to the office so my husband called got it straightened out and we got it Tuesday. It was the 18 month extension. The original on the water stamp with the torch in back ground.

Im getting concerned now because interview was 12-19 CO told him to paper to register with DHL, the sheet about spousal abuse while in US. Kept hus passport and said all looks good and would be called when ready. The status date changed from interview date to the 29th because he emailed but no changes since then. Its been 3 weeks now.
-
I thought u want the status to be immigrant visa because that is the visa for permanent residency in US while non-immagrant visa is just to visit.
-
Same situation. Interview in Dec. Was told all was good, kept the passport and gave him a paper about spousal abuse once in US. And that they would call when ready....going on 3 weeks. Patiently waiting.?

I was reading that the NOA2 is good for 4 months but once u pay the Embassy fee its good for a year. But it's not right when we have no control over the issue. There should be some kind of exception. Sorry for all the problems everyone is going thru. Hope everything gets straighted out soon. Praying for all.

It's hard to say what the methos ro their madness is. I got me email notice of NOA2 Sept 3rd...mailed copy the 9th. NVC got my petition on Sept 15th and I got my case number the same day. Well eveey time I called it was being further processed...their words. US Embassy didn't get it until Oct 15th.
-
Curious.....how long after emailing embassy d-160 and passport pg did u getrepky with interview date? And can this be used for medical exam?
-
Just curious what does the non impediment document do?
-
Very true......better to have it and not need it than visa versa.
-
90 days is long.....my NOA2 was Sept 3rd. Arrived at NVC Sept 15th and arrived at Embassy Oct. 13th. Long time but 90 is crazy.

Question.....my fiancè was married has his annulment doc does he still need the nin impediment form? He has done everything just waiting on email from Embassy with interview date....praying it's soon would love him here by Christmas.....but like ya'll have said, ALL in God's hands.
-
Hey.. Did u get any respond from the embassy?
No still waiting.....but my fiancè has finished his ds-160 and emailed it with passport page to embassy. Fee has been paid....he has all his documents plus what I mailed. We are just waiting for appointment letter so he can make medical appt. All is moving quickly....just the embassy is slow on the replies...lol
Things are really moving fast... At first we could not wait now it seem we need more time...

I checked my case number and it says: READY
Case Creation Date: 22-Oct-2014 Status Updated Date:
03-Nov-2014
How can I find out where the case is right now? What does "ready" mean? And what does mean "status updated date"? It has been updated 2 times since then. I haven't received any mail from the embassy yet. I emailed and asked the embassy, but no answer yet. I already filled out my DS160 and paid the fees.
If it says ready...that means it's at the embassy and ur petition is ready for the interview. So just wait for packets for next steps.?
-
My fiancè who is in Kingston, completed the DS 160 on Thursday Oct 30 even though he has yet to receive a packet 3. I gave him instructions I got from visajourney. He emailed them the confirmation number and passport copy and they sent the automated response email. It said that he should receive an email within 5 days. It also stated that beginning March 2013 they only accept visa fee paid in person on date of interview. Its very frustrating to read all kinds of different instructions but I guess we should know thats typical Jamaican govt format LOL
Exactly.....I saw that info too about the fee but since they emailed me the wrong info and I paid it online they gonna accept it. Got confirmation of payment so I'm not paying again.
-
Ok. Let us know when u get a reply.. I was thinking to email them also. They may take a week to reply but I will not do anything until I understand completely what to do. It would be great if we can schedule our own interview date tho.
Yes it would.....I was all excited too because I was going to schedule it for Nov 21st and then plan to buy his plane ticket for Dec 5th. But with them scheduling it who knows.
I will keep u posted to what they say.
-
I am also totally confused because my packet 3 gave a link where to pay the fee online and set a interview date.. Someone please help us...
See that is exactly what I'm saying. The link given here had all the same documents required as in the email from the embassy but it doesn't say anything about emailing the confirmation page of ds-160 and passport page. And it gives the link to pay and schedule interview...but once u pay it says not to continue if u haven't gotten ur appointment letter because u aren't scheduling an intetview ur registering the one given to u. And this is the checklist the embassy sent me in email that is included in the packet. So I have sent them an email to see how we get the appointment letter with our interview date.
Removing of Conditions Interview

Yeah I believe we were already gonna be approved due to the fact it only took 2 days for approval but our interviewer said there was questions about our address and they wanted to confirm who lived were since we had so many during the process lol. And because of our age difference. Our AOS interview was waived.
