Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in Taxes filed married jointly, please help
Your work is no more so you can't include your income on I-864. To use immigrant's income, you must prove your income will be from same source after you receive GC.
If you messed up your I-864 from beginning, you needs to fill another I-864 accurately reflecting your USC spouse's income, even it was zero.
And a joint sponsor I-864 is expected as well.
Good luck.

Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in I-751 horrible experience while (attempting) to travel abroad
That letter is to return to the States, it means nothing to other countries.
-
Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in Where is I-751 receipt number?
You need the receipt number on BIOMETRICS letter.

Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in I desperately need help with wife's I-130 form
The she has to wait for DACA to be approved to apply for travel document AP. Because she needs to be inspected to adjust status here in the States.
If she wasn't inspected (aka EWI), she needs advance parole to come back and be inspected. Therefore she can adjust status in the States. If she has a lawyer, he/she will know what's up.

Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in Stress of the Visa Process Wrecking Our Relationship
Seems like your relationship will not survive even she gets here buddy.
-
Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in Missed interview
So your spouse loves to travel more than her husband's immigration matters. Something is not right here buddy. You reschedule interview many days before actual date, not after.

Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in RFE
Same address but they have different tax returns, they are not contributing income to family income. you misunderstood I-864A completely. Your mom signs I-864 as main sponsor, and your uncle sign I-864 as joint sponsor. His spouse (if any and files tax jointly) sign I-864A with him.

Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in Legal trouble...ugh
Sorry but it did happen. Which state are you residing? And how much was the merchandise? Usually it is a misdemeanor, and results in fine and/or service hours. You should not deal with it yourself, consult an attorney and consider before pleading guilty. He might be able to have it dismissed.
Don't send in I-751 (part1/question 20 with yes answer) until the case was settled and you have a court disposition to send in along.

Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in AOS in different state
2 months staying is not a permanent residence, use residence address in Indiana for everything, don't make a mess for nothing.

Daily signature, which you use on driver license and everything else.

Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in AOS from F-1 OPT to Green Card
Even you say "if everything goes fine" so there is chance it goes wrong (aka opt ends before your aos EAD is approved, your job will have a break) -> that's what uscis thinks.
Search for "self sponsor" you will see many have this issue, even with h1b EAD.

Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in Urgent: Shall I mention I was "out of status" when 4 years later apply for b1/b2
The very last thing you want to ask is misinterpretation, it is fraud you are asking by the way.

Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in N400 Help.
Answer is YES, illegal immigrants still have to register. If you didn't register, you need a letter from selective service explaining why you failed to register.
By the way, how old are you now? If you are 31 and older, you are good to go. If you are younger, chance they will deny your N400 at interview if your explanation won't satisfy IO.

Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in N 400 change state
You will have to wait 3 months in NY. They will return your N400 when they receive it. Even if it goes through, at interview they will deny it anyways.

Nga&John reacted to NancyNguyen in N-400 December 2014 Filers
Show up in court early, don't wait until court date and settle it down ASAP by paying fine or getting it dismissed whatever you can do to get a court order. It takes at least a week to get into police system so make sure you call the court to see if it is available already.
You answer yes but without a court order, they will not let you go in Oath ceremony. Good luck.
