I think it's really useful. The more data points the better. I basically made a calculated guess on when I'd get my passport using the data points to decide between routine and premium processing.
If you work in a data related field you'll find the more data the better.

My spouse and kids have never been stamped when entering the USA, she probably goes out of the country 3-5 times a year. From some googling it looks like they sometimes stamp US passports, it sounds like there is no harm on whether you get one or not.
I never get stamped going to the Schengen zone or the UK/Ireland.
I would say I can imagine that CBP have weird rules. I just returned from Amsterdam to Detroit (before I became a US citizen) and everyone was told to use the computer machines and no one had to fill out a paper disembarkation/customs card. Although a colleague of mine returned from Jordon (a US citizen) on a different day and was told to stand in line and fill out the card. Maybe it is related to the country you come from or they switch things up from day to day. I've been through the TSA checking area and one told not to take any laptops/shoes off (not TSA preCheck area) and other times been told to take laptop/shoes off.

The USA won't stamp a USA passport.

You can stand in the line and still use your Irish passport. When going into the UK my kids and I use our UK passports but my spouse uses her American (doesn't have a UK passport).
You can probably use your US passport, but why not use your Irish?

I'm two days away from my ceremony. I didn't want to go over the top, but I like to style my attire to the occasion so I bought a stars and stripes themed tie and found a lapel I had from a previous purchase.
I'm going to be a citizen of the USA on 4th of July!

Awesome news, I finally got my oath ceremony letter. Looks like it the 4th of July!!!
No update from myUSCIS, it just appeared in the documents section. Lucky that I was checking every week, exactly 3 weeks from today. So excited to get this all behind me.
One question, on question 2 where is says "Since your interview, have you traveled outside the United States?", I am planning on going abroad for 5 days for work (well technically 2 days in the country I am visiting). Is bringing my flight itinerary enough along with saying YES?

It has been 1 month now, I think our cases should be touched again soon. :-)

So I got an email on 3rd May saying I had an update, I checked and it said transferred. Once I looked at the history it looked like I was approved then transferred...

So over one month since my interview happened, and got an email on 3rd May saving my I-751 and N-400 were approved.
But no green card or oath letter yet. Funnily enough I did receive multiple letters in the mail before 3rd May from Cleveland and Nebraska saying my I-751 had been approved and to expect a Green Card within 60 days in the mail.

Sadly my one still says “Your application has been approved.” But no oath letter yet. Going to be 4 weeks since my interview soon.
Starting to get nervous because they only gave me a 2 month stamp on my passport, I don’t want to have to go and get another stamp...

The requirements under marriage are way more stringent than the 5 year route. I got it through marriage but I have 3 kids, joint credit cards, accounts, beneficiaries on all our insurances, etc. I work 30 minutes away from my wife and took her to the interview. I also took photo books there.
Once the person saw my wife in the lobby he wanted her to join us and also started scrolling through the photo books. I think that made him feel comfortable that my marriage was legit. It was a breeze from there, I even took out all the documents (about 3 inch stack) and he never wanted to see anything from there. I probably spent 10 hours collating evidence for him to ask nothing. Guess pictures really are worth a 1000 words.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the proof that your marriage was legitimate.

Do you mean for the ROC folks?
I got a letter dated the 3rd saying my case was transferred and a letter dated the 2nd saying I had been approved for ROC and to expect my green card in 60 days.
I also received a letter at the end of April from Cleveland saying I had been approved for ROC.
Seems like a mess, I don't think my actual file was "transferred". I bet it was some system upgrade which led to the erroneous emails.

I had a lot of overlaps on my job list, there wasn't an issue.
I at one point was a student, working full time and consulting through an LLC.

Interesting, but my N400 says approved online (awaiting oath scheduling). I just got a letter from Cleveland saying they had removed restrictions on my conditional green card and that I would be receiving a green card in the mail (online the I-751 still says transferred to your local office).
Also my I-551 stamp I got last week says I-751 approved on the top off it in handwritten ink, but only valid for 2 months. Best bit about the I-551 stamp is the form you sign saying you are handing in your green card for destruction, but if you find it again you have to give it to USCIS.
I wonder if I'll get a 10 year GC before my oath or whether they actually won't send one, who knows.

I have been approved for the I-751! Had my dual N-400/I-751 interview yesterday.
The IO wanted both my wife and I to come in, saw I had photo books of my kids and looked at them at the beginning and I narrated. He asked how often we get professional photos, and we said a couple times a year. We had photo books from 2014 to 2017 that he looked at. He seemed fine.
The folder for my I-751 was huge. He went through my name, DOB, where we met, what my marriage date was and then said he was going to approve it. Then onto my N400 interview which was simple (as expected from all the reading I've done in preparation). I was recommended for approval for that.
One thing was I have international travel for work coming up so told him and asked about the I551 stamp and he said I could get one outside. They gave me one until mid July, hopefully I get naturalized by then!
My wife jokes that I now have my 10 year green card valid for 2 months (the stamp in my passport says I-751 approved).

Since my interview is over I can provide a guide on how it went:
I arrived in Cleveland and there was traffic so I only had 6 minutes to play. It took a while to get through security and the place is huge, the people at the front were super friendly and directed me to the place. I arrive at the interview area (looks like it is a dual info-pass/interview area), and there was no directions on what to do to. I sat down and asked someone and they said there is a tray with no signage where you should leave your letter. I did that.
The interviewer opens the door and calls me by my last name, then also asks if my spouse was with me and told her to come in. He seemed like a very friendly guy, and took me and in and told me he would conduct an I-751 interview first then the N400. We discussed things like oath days at the beginning because I mentioned I needed an I-551 stamp. Looked at my photo books of my family and seemed like that was all he needed. He asked me basic questions about my marriage like:
- My name
- DOB
- Where we met
- Was I married before (system said I was, and I wasn't so he corrected that)
- When I was married (I said the wrong date and my wife corrected me and he gave me a look like I was gonna get in trouble with my wife)
I passed the I-751 interview. Hurray!
The N400 was a breeze, no additional documents requested. Just the standard yes/no questions and I answered the first 6 civics questions correctly and a couple things to sign on the touchscreen.
Now comes to the oath scheduling portion and I551 stamp, since I had international travel planned he recommended I get the oath ceremony after July 1st. I received a stamp for July in my passport and letter that I would have to give to the people at the ceremony. Also it's a lot closer than Cleveland to where I live.

I got the stamp the same day, but it was a bit more complicated as he recommended me for approval for the N400. So I had to get this printout from them with said this is why I don’t have my green card. I was told not to lose his and give it at my oath ceremony. They had to get 2 USCIS agents to sign it.
They only gave me a stamp until July 15 because they assume I will be naturalized by then.

Tomorrow is my interview, I think I've memorized the answer to every one of the 100 questions.
This is my checklist for what I'm taking, let me know if I need anything else:
- UK passport (and all passports UK and US for all the kids and spouse's US passport)
- My green card and one year extension letter for ROC (which is now not valid)
- Birth certificates of every person in the family
- Marriage certificate
- Beneficiary documents for insurance/retirement accounts
- Car/home insurance with both our names on it
- First and most recent statements of join credit cards/joint bank accounts and savings
- Flights/hotels for one trip every year since our marriage year with our names and kids on it
- Photos of us and the kids
I have to remember to ask for the stamp in my passport, any idea how long they put a stamp in it for?
Is there anything else I need to take to the interview? I'm on the 3 year rule through marriage with ROC pending.

So from my understanding the Nexus card is Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) compliant, but also comes with the perks of:
Also I can apply for it without sending off my passport.
All for 38.33 USD (if you fill out the paper form and pay the 50 CAD), also free for under 18 while the passport card is 30 USD.
