    Today (day after biometrics) it has an update that they have reviewed it and went to July 2018 as the completion date.

    That's another question. If they new GC is lost, do they even care about the old expired one anyways?

    I think only the current green card or proof you applied for a replacement is what they need. You know without your current green card you can't prove your status.

    I was talking to a friend, they had lost something and eventually discovered it. Their kids had put it in the folding part of dinning table somewhere and he couldn't understand how they did it but kids too stuff.

     

    We have 3 kids under 3 so kind of crazy at home and we don't really find time to do anything other than take care of kids. We are nearly one year late in filing our N-400! Was due last march!

    Do you have the 10 year GC or were you doing ROC?

    They must have fixed the bug on the filing date going dd mm yyyy to mm dd yyyy.

    They want either the green card or the receipt of the application for replacement GC. They might send you an RFE for the green card. Did you provide any reasoning on why you couldn't submit it along with the application?

    I hope more people get approved. Waiting over a year is horrible, feels like being in limbo. I feel especially bad for those who have jobs that require them to take vacation days to go get their stamp (here's me hoping I get approved before April so I don't need to get my stamp).

I guess they do not as I think you're the 2nd one with an approval without an interview.  Perhaps they don't have resources or such, doesnt matter, what matters is that you didn't have to go through that ordeal and that you can now put this behind you, well ROC you can, not sure if you are/can/want to apply for N400. I am VERY happy for you and so grateful to see movement.  No idea why they don't change the case status. Did it say it was touched?  Mine says it was back in March, no idea why but not been touched since.  

    I don’t think Germany supports dual nationality for those who don’t get it by birth. However, it may be possible but probably would help to speak with an immigration lawyer.

    Well, if an officer stops you technically you should always carry your green card or proof of status. I have never been stopped by an officer, and I’ve found a driving license to be enough to even fly within the USA. I’ve provided my green card when flying within the USA once and I was given it back since it was expired (didn’t even look at the letter) and they said we only need a driving license to fly within the USA.

    I don’t think your status expires but the stamp is your proof of status. So you wouldn’t be able to prove status easily.

    Yea, I would assume it would be after my 3 year date. Even if they do things by my "estimated" date of August, that is still super fast compared to my original green card and the ROC one.

     

    I wonder if they will also wait 1 year from my biometrics to ask me to do another one.

    You can get a stamp in your passport to “prove” status pending the ROC, they won’t send you another letter. You don’t lose status unless you get denied for ROC.

     

    N400 is not connected to ROC, you can apply for N400 if you meet the N400 requirements. However, without approving ROC they can’t approve N400.

     

    I have applied for N400 pending ROC as many have, it looks like they either do a dual interview or approve your ROC prior to the interview. This means it would be good idea to bring to your spouse to your interview.

    There is no exclusion that you can't apply while you are waiting for a green card renewal. However, you can't get citizenship if your ROC is not approved. So often they do a dual interview or approve it prior to your interview.

    I think you need to get an info pass to prove your status beyond the letter. My understanding is that you are still within status but not able to prove it once the letter expires.

    It asks for green card but not the extension letter. I uploaded the green card in the green card section, then the extension letter in the "any additional information" section. Also you can fill out the form before the 90 day early filing period. Just make sure you keep logging in every 30 days or your application expires. You can only submit within the 90 day period.

     

    People seem to be getting their biometrics stuff pretty fast after they apply.

    Only a month before I apply for N400, got to go to that forum and look up what I need to upload.  I don't see many people posting what they attached, not as well defined as it is on this forum with ROC.

    I did it online. The online n400 pretty much asks you which evidence to upload for each bit depending on your circumstances. Also with the online one I think they upload and mail all correspondences.

     

    My office in Ohio says it was processing late May 2017 when they last updated in October 31st. So looks like 5 months for me. I'm expecting June/July 2018 to become a USC. I wonder if my removal of conditions will even be processed by then.
