This is a very simple situation and it happens quite frequently.
Ideally you should have applied for a new passport before you decided to attend the interview and surrender the passport for the placement of the K1 visa.
You will need to visit the closest UK embassy in whatever state you are in and apply for a new passport. It is not advisable for your parents to send the new passport over (not sure if they can even fill it out and submit it let alone send it) due to the possibility of it being lost or stolen. It does not take any more effort to visit the embassy and submit and pay it yourself.
Regarding the K1 stamp, that is done and finished. It is now useless, it is only valid for 1 time entry so having a new passport will make no difference.
You will only need to get the green card temporary stamp I-551 if you loose your physical green card (Once you get it) or your green card expires during Removal of Conditions period and you want an additional layer of protection above and beyond the extension letter for international travel.
Other than that you only need your passport for international travel once you get your green card.

CFO can be completed prior to the interview. Once you are approved for your visa you will need to return to a CFO location with your passport to receive your CFO sticker which will added to the passport.
More details here: http://tinyurl.com/ob9xoa8 Select the CFO tab for steps and requirements.

There is no such thing as an "invitation letter" for a visitor visa nor is there any type of sponsorship. Day after day on this site we see posts from people seeking visitor visas who think there is such as thing, they also seem to think there is sponsorship for a visitor visa. Where on Earth do people get these ideas from? If someone wants to visit the US they must apply for visa based on there own merits and their own merits ALONE!!! They MUST prove strong ties to home and be able to prove they can finance there own trip. Letters, invitations or anything else people try to come up with are useless. There is NOTHING you or anyone else can do can do to help a person get a visitor visa. A wedding invitation is not proof they will return home.

Wait for the RFE notice, supply them with what they are requesting, make copies of what your sending them along with the RFE notice. Keep for your records.
Attach your RFE paperwork to the Original RFE notice (place on top) and send to the address list on the paper......
It also don't hurt to write your case number on the papers your sending them incase they get separated from the RFE notice.

No, and yes you should file AOS now.
There is no time limit/deadline in which to file for AOS. As long as you married within 90 days then you are eligible to file based on your approved I-129F petition and fulling the requirements of the K-1 visa. However, you will be out of status and begin to accrue unlawful presence between your I-94 expiring and filing for AOS. Once you file for AOS, you then enter a period of authorized stay while waiting for your green card approval.
~ Moved from K-1 Process to AOS from Family Based Visas - topic is AOS, not K-1 ~

Ready to schedule status can last a while, depending on how busy your local office is. It is possible to get a fast interview date though, and people most certainly have interviewed before even receiving their EAD/AP. If you get the green card approved first, then great. No more need for the EAD/AP.

Doesn't matter where you worked or lived. As a U.S. citizen you must file taxes even on foreign earned income.

Your patience will be tried and tested on so many levels. best to start practicing patience now . Pray for CSC service center. in any case your wait is anywhere from 3-9 months. CSC is around 60 days until approval. Ive seen some earlier ones as well. good luck hope it is painless for you.

I went into the room where the letter told me to go, check in there i handed the appointment letter and the officer ask for an I.D then he signed the letter then gave it back to me and told me to go where the interview room and there I check in again and give the letter to the lady in a little window and then wait for couple minutes then an officer call my full name..
First thing is she told me to stand up and take the oath that i'm gonna say is only the truth and then she started asking about me, ask about my grandma and my mom. She started making conversation about my work, what's happening on my life, i think she is testing me if i know how to speak and understand English?
Then she handed a paper told me to read the first one..I'm sorry forget about the details but I know that she was testing me on my reading.. then i read and then she mark the paper correct. Next is she handed a paper again and told me write we pay taxes. she mark the paper again correct.
then ask about the civic questions.
    1. What is the freedom of religion?
    2. When the constitution was written?
    3. How many senators?
    4. What is the ocean in the east coast?
I got the 6 questions correct, i just forget the other 2, I'm sorry guys
then she lastly asked about my N-400 not like about everything but briefly. Then she let me sign everything even the photos that I sent. I didn't know what's happening until she asked me if I can wait for an hour for oath taking and i was like yeah... and she said congratulations..
Then i wait for an hour or so, in the same room where everyone waits to be called, A lady officer calls my name and like 4 more people and there we take the oath of allegiance and after taking the oath she handed the certificate and there is a folder too that comes with a little book, a message from the president and a like a pamphlet that says what to do next.
If someone got some questions I'm glad to help..Goodluck to everyone.

I think a lot of us have given up "all" or "so much" to be with the one we love in a new country. That's not new. We can all relate in some way or another. And that's why a lot of people are agreeing that it makes sense to pack the bags and head home. I, too, have been married for almost two years, and I know I would be back in my home country if my husband's and my marriage dissolved. No other point to be here except for him. The GC is green plastic to me that enables me to be with the one I love; not an opportunity to live on here without him.

Is this the first status change since the biometrics? What does it say below Testing and Interview? Does it say she is in line for interview or that her interview had been scheduled? Because these are two different things. Once you get scheduled for the biometrics, your online status changes to Testing and Interview and under that same category it goes to In line for interview and Interview Scheduled. I'm sorry but I don't think you were very clear about it. When you are in line for interview they also say to call if you don't get anything within 90 days.
So if she is in line for interview, then I think you need to wait a little longer. Try to check other filers from San Diego on the previous months filers threads and then you can have a better idea.
If she has been scheduled for an interview then I would call USCIS and try to speak to a Tier 2 officer to get the date and the copy of the Interview Scheduled letter faxed to you (or re-mailed).

My fiancée and I worked together on everything. We did all the research and I did all the paperwork for my part and when it came to do her part she did the paperwork for that. When it's time to send her all the information she needs, I will prepare it and organize it the best to my ability, and I know when she gets it she will prepare and organize to her liking, because after all, she is the one who will be going to the interview.
This process takes both people involvement, and both needs to prepare there own information as well, to make sure everything in done correctly, because there are different rules when it comes to different countries.
Marriage is a partnership, if he doesn't help now, this might be the best time to speak up.
Good luck to everyone on this journey!!!

Sorry to hear your SO isn't very helpful or supportive through the process It's sadly not all that uncommon from what I've seen around VJ, it seems like one partner in a couple very often takes over managing the whole process. It made sense to me and my husband to share the work, so we regularly discussed what was required for each stage of the process and we both knew what was happening at all times. As the USC, I prepared the I-130 package, kept track of status at USCIS and NVC, paid fees, and prepared the affidavit of support. He obtained his civil documents needed for the IV package, filled out the DS-260 and sorted everything needed for the medical and interview. We each did the parts of the process that were "ours," but we were both involved from start to finish and supported each other throughout.
