  1. LOL…yes it keeps adding up. Its spread all over my living room floor. My interview is more than month away so i have some time.

You will do just fine on your interview. One step at a time. Breathe, drinken sie bier, und carry on… LOL!!!! Ich spreche deustch, aber ich have vergesen sie.

Same here. So I just printed out our itineraries, gift/purchase receipts etc. That alone should be around 3 inches of paper sheets :) Not sure if it all fits into my folder

During the USCIS/NVC process I was thinking time couldn't fly fast enough. But now it's like, wow, my interview is next week and damn, I am not done organizing all the relationship evidence yet :dead::whistle:

    Good luck with everything!!

  2. LOL….it keeps growing and growing and growing….LOL.. and thank you for taking the time to keep it all updated. You are just AWESOME!! :goofy::thumbs:

Yes just put up the apartment for transfer of lease on craiglist about 20 min ago. Fingers crossed. Montreal is pretty strict about renting and leasing. ordered the whole list of travel history from canada to USA. Put the selected pictures together. Its coming along, while i do a 60 hour/week full time job. whew…i need a drink or two or 6. LOLOLO :P:rofl: . i think in the x-ray they will only see alcohol in my system. LOL :goofy::rofl:

I am a naturalized canadian but originally from so I don't know. . I have travelled to US like 24 times in the last 2 years and before that lived in USA for 12 years.

Let me put it this way…i have to make sure i shave and not have a BEARD…as unfortunately I always fit into the "random" screening people on airport lines.

I know how you feel. It was 9 pages last night. LOL

Goodness Target that is a laundry list to be sure. But trust me you are Canadian you won't even be asked all that evidence but do take just in case.

  3. LOl..yes living will….we did it (not only for interview but its safer). I am sure the CO will not look at anything. Yes i will and am printing tons of documents. Recycle is the way to go. I am moving to NYC -- they are pretty strict about recycling. :energy::bonk:

Personally i hate any form of paper …i prefer e-versons of everything. that is why i did EP instead of paper … now i have to kill trees unnecessarily…its a night mare..

Congrats for getting your interview date! :star: Finally!

You're moving to the US 4 DAYS after your interview!? :wow:

Well, I'm doing the same thing, but I live 40 minutes from the US/Canada border so it'll be so much easier for me to move there. :content:

Living will!? :wow: I'm willing to bet that your CO is not going to look at it.:rofl::rofl:

It sounds like you're probably printing tons of documents! :wow:

Make sure you recycle after the interview in order to save probably 2-3 trees!:rofl::rofl:

  4. ok ….just finished reading all 16 pages for the december interview thread…took me some time…. :content:

The interview is on Dec 8 and starting to compile all the paperwork for the interview. I realized like Ketsuban, I followed my lawyers advice when submitting for I-130 and didn't submit pics etc for our relationship, just the required documents. So making a thick folder of our travel through the last 2 years from Montreal-NYC (we visited each other every other weekend)…lots of $$$$$$…photos, bank accounts, credit cards, living will etc. Hopefully the CO will give us a chance to submit documents there, IF NEEDED. Who knows!!

I still have to do the medical, rent out my apartment, give official notice at the job, sell everything at my place, close all accounts.. Damn….this is becoming crazzzzy!!!! :girlwerewolf2xn:

  5. Oh montreal can be really fun ..even on snow days….sun is mostly always shining even when we have negative numbers weather days.

And yes, walk down St Denis and up the mont royal mountain, its fun… lost of fun people and a different atmosphere….i think you will enjoy it.

St Josef oratory is nice too…lots of steps…I can see it from my office window…LOL

oh and i almost forgot….you can have POUTINE….if its cold….its an "acquired" taste…but its frenchfries and cheese ( you can never go wrong with it!!)… .. with loads of beer…YAY!!!

That's weird I typed a reply to TargetNovember but it did not post. (hopefully this does not double post)

I am grateful for the nice weather we have been having and I'm looking forward to our time in Montreal, it will be a nice break. Thanks for the tips on what to do, sounds way better than sitting in the room for a week worrying myself sick about the interview!

  6. Well on the interview thread….dwheels76 has organized a spreadsheet like saylin has one for NVC.

If you check it, what i am noticing (just a theory) is they go by country when they organize the interviews….especially if you have already been given a case complete earlier than the interview scheduling days. I didn't see anyone from australia getting a date…so i am assuming it will be either today or monday for the aussies. :goofy::star:

How do we check the interview Scheduling ?

  7. Woohoo….the weather will be nice….and it will be fun….if you haven't been before…definitely check out the St josef oratory and walk up mont royal mountain.…it will be LOADS of fun...

We leave for our interview in Montreal on Sunday, wow that came fast! Today was my last day at work before our trip, and we are putting our house up for sale the day we get back so life has been a whirlwind!

Combined air miles with credit card points to get 2 round trip flights to montreal for only $12, was super happy about that! The hotel we are staying in has a pool and hot tub, we are there for 5 days for the medical and then interview so I will definitely be making use of those.

Like the poster from Winnipeg, I didn't get the RCMP police certificate only the Winnipeg one with National Criminal Records search box checked off so hopefully that will be enough, if it is not there is no time to do anything else at this point. I have not gotten any extra checklists or requests for info from the consulate so I am really hoping we will be okay.

Like the poster from Alberta, we will be doing our medical and interview all on the same trip, medisys told me they need 3 business days to process results, I gave them 4 just to be safe. I'm grateful that our interview fell on a Friday so we don't have to stay for the weekend when no processing is being done anyway.

Tonight I have to finish packing our bags and getting the final touches put on the immigration binder, tomorrow a trip to the spa for a couples massage, the perfect way to unwind from all this stress before the interview so we can be relaxed and natural. SO excited to move on to the next part of our lives already!

  8. Congratulations…. you are finally out of there….and i believe you will have an interview in december….woohoo…now just hoping for samreen and soloenta to make it through. :dancing::goofy:

You know dilmera I am wondering the same thing. I think our CC may be as simple as it was our turn. I don't think the supervisor did anything. Still, I guess we will never know. Do they schedule a whole country together for interviews. It is all new to me this bit.

  9. here is another review for montreal consulate. from the talk it seems like they let US citizen come with you.

"eview Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa; this is review number : 15394

Interview went well - except they would NOT let us in early as we thought, instead we had to come back no earlier than 1 hour before our scheduled time. They give you a number which they did not follow in sequence (not sure why). Was called to the first window which was clerical and just checked all info, documents, and made sure they had everything they needed. "Then called to the actual interview which was just a few questions about my (us citizen) job, and about our wedding". She then told us we were approved and let us know what would happen next. total time was about 2 hours - actual time talking to people was about 1/2 hour.

the line in bold--- i am assuming its the petitioner

    Good afternoon Saylin,

Do you know if at the interview in Montreal me the wife is allowed to go in with the beneficiary the husband. I know i can go in and submit dics at window but at interview?? Do you know? Thanks

  10. It seems after reading the interview thread for canada sometimes they are and sometimes they are not.

Nigel78 just posted their experience for K1 visa at the montreal consulate and apparently her husband was with her, though apparently it didn't seem clear if he was there with her or not at the time of the interview. you can read her experience on interview thread for canada.

  11. Sorry that was foolish of me. I didn't read through all your message. You have a joint sponsor, i am sorry. You still write their number what is their income on that line same as in your husbands AOS.

I don't know if it helps taking the lawyer of the case. i was tempted to but didn't. i think there is a while procedure to do that. I do know however, that the beneficiary, petitioner or the lawyer can send the documents. it doesn't matter. I know someone here, about a month ago, had a checklist -- fired their lawyer and did the paperwork themselves but never removed the name and submitted all the necessary documents. They go a case complete. I am pretty sure they must be on the sepember NVC thread.

    Hey all,

I need advice! My i-130 was approved in March 12 2014. By the time we got our case number from NVC, paid the fees and what not came June and we submitted supporting docs Long with AOS. We hired a lawyer. The lawyer screwed us over and we got checklisted in Aug for AOS. Then we resent the AOS with corrections. Our scan date was Auf 27. On Oct 23 i got checklist again! The lawyers paralegal left part 6 item 10 blank!!!!!!!!!!! I am soooo furious! I called NVC and so did my hubby, the rep told us it was a silly mistake and while correcting previous checklist item 13 a mistake was made. She asked us if we wanted to take the lawyer off the case bc of the mistake; she was shocked. Anyways, since Oct 23 my husband and I are trying to fix things and the lawyer is not cooperating. He is refusing to meet up with my hubby in NY to talk and look over the AOS. He has been ignoring all phone calls and emails. What should we do? Take him off the case and get another lawyer or just submit the corrected AOS ourselves????? My IV documents were approved the last time in Aug, my hubby AOS was approved last week, only my joint sponsor (MIL) corrected AOS needs to be mailed. I am sooo stressed right now and my poor hubby is struggling too

    Please someone help me

  12. Hello,

OMG!! i got exactly the same error in my AOS. I too had a lawyer. You don't need the lawyer again to send it by yourself. Just get the I864 copy and fill the total amount. I am assuming your husband is the ONLY sponsor. Its the same number for his income in that line..the total.. Get a copy from him, then manually write the number and scan it. and then resend the whole I-864. thats it. Sorry you are going through this.

My lawyer had left it blank too. Technically, your lawyer, you or your husband can submit. Just go to Saylin's wiki and enter the information on the email exactly like she tells you, thats it!

Also, make sure to have your case number on each page on the top right hand corner (it will be written in the checklist email). you can even have it handwritten.

If i am not clear PM me and i can tell you step by step. By the way what part of canada are you in?

  13. Also on a side note--- i would be shocked if the GIANTS looses. They are doing really good.

You have an incredibly accurate gut! CASE COMPLETE as of 10/21!!!!! Thank you to everyone on this thread for all of the support and positive words. For those of you still waiting, hang in there! This is the best feeling ever, my hub will be here by Christmas! Now we just need a win tonight, GO GIANTS!!

  14. Why thank you….. all that :pop::pop::pop::pop::jest::jest: and waiting to hear…caused me to develop a NICE GUT!!!!:rofl::rofl::rofl: … now at the gym trying to reduce it before medical exam takes place. LOL

    CONGRATULATIONS…..party time indeed!!

and the AOS fees not changing to N/A has happened before with a few cases… but you are ALL set. Woohoooooo

Oh and side note: status still hasn't changed to N/A on CEAC and I only waited 20 minutes on hold with NVC :)

  15. I am so sorry crisarria…i just saw this message….well i can tell you all the information about my case…it was different than the usual. I don't know…how to send private messages….i would rather explain in detail to you, because you had a similar case like me.

Ok its official now ---- FINALLY got CASE COMPLETE EMAIL today from NVC. :star::star::star::star::D:D:D:D

I had a the AOS fee change from PAID to N/A on 16 oct and called up NVC to have a verbal confirmation. But I only got the email today from them confirming it.

I did EP processing from Canada. Last scan date was Sept 8 for AOS checklist.

I truly want to thank Saylin :innocent: for the wiki. it truly helped a lot. Thanks so much.

Now getting ready to move to the interview thread. Step 3 waiting officially commences. :clock::yes:

Congratulations thank goodness you are done!!! Did a supervisor review? Or did you have to wait the time? When was the scan date of your checklist received?

so happy for you if you can share the information so i can see if mine will be finished soon too.

  16. yes this is MOST definitely a CASE COMPLETE EMAIL. I got this after about 7 days (literally a week) of getting a case complete. And this is pretty current as i received this same email on Oct 23, exactly 7 days after getting a case complete on the phone and my AOS state changing from PAID to N/A on Oct 16. I am surprised that your AOS fees hasn't changed to N/A. I know previously there have been cases where it hasn't. In my case it did.

    Call the NVC ASAP. :dancing::goofy::dancing:

    And congratulations---- :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

    Hi All,

I received an email this morning that stated (in the attached letter) "All documentation necessary to complete the Nation Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified."

I got all excited and checked CEAC only to see the statuses both still showing PAID. Has anyone received anything like this? Is it just an automated response to a question I sent in months ago? My AOS scan date is 8/7 nad IV 9/24. I can't get through to NVC so hopefully someone here can shed some light.

    Thanks!

Since you got the email…my gut instinct says 21 or 22 Oct you had a case complete.

REALLY??!!!!!!!! Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh, ok trying not to get too excited until I confirm with them...eeeee!

  17. HI soloenta,

just thought you should know…i was checking on the interview spreadsheet, there are two egypt cases and from the time they got their cases complete they have there interviews within a month. I know you are waiting to hear from them, but at least the last part will go faster.

Hahahaha your so sweet hehehee, I can just see you walking up to them hahahaa   I bet (for some reason) your tiny   , love you never change!!!

Praying this week belongs to you Samreen and MSC. t5063.gif

Then I am truly blessed by God. t5063.gif

  18. Well from what i saw on the pages on this thread- people who got CC in September (15- 30 sept)…got their interviews assigned between 30 sept - 6th october… for the month of november. Their papers are in transit now..some have reached and some are getting there.

SO by that same rationale --- i think all CCs between 14 oct - 30 Oct will have our interviews assigned between 30 oct - 10 Nov for the month of December…. and so i would assume that our paperwork will move out of NVC somewhere in the month of November (6-25 Nov). Till then we ALL have our paperwork at NVC even though we have CC's. :content::jest:. Which means we will NOT be leaving the "twilight zone" until middle november :alien: .

Thanks:) but my case is still at NVC on CEAC website and I dont trust NVC operator n so I am now worried.
I hope my case will be moving to the embassy in Tokyo soon.
Thank you so much for cheering me up:)
