I am from Nov 2013 I -130 thread too, and welcome to the final stages….woohoo..
Hello all. Checking in on the Interview thread.
Case Complete on November 14. Waiting for email confirmation and interview date in Santo Domingo. I'm hoping for January.
I see some of my mates here from the November 2013 I-130 thread. I'm glad to see folks moving along now. We had an AOS checklist and that set us back 60 days, but it feels good we are moving to the interview stage.

Congratulations!!!!
Approved and CEAC says issued!!!
Congratulations to all of you!!!
Kanuk, P&DSigler, CdnArmygrl, others with recent interviews in Montreal:
Any passport return updates from you?
-
Congratulations!! Enjoy...
though if and when you get time please post your interview experience if and when you get a chance. Thanks.
Approved!!! Yay!!!!!
Thank you everyone!!!!!!Oh damn!!! i am so sorry to hear this..
. This is ridiculous. i know the process sucks… but its a formality. I am sorry. it will work out though
I am so done with this process. I have to go back to London tomorrow to sign the ds230 because the computers were messed up Monday and they haven't got my fingerprints. Another £80 on rail fare and a work day lost....
-
I am sorry austin…..
.. i know its frustrating…you are soooo close….
but don't fret...
your interview was on a Monday. Tuesday was a holiday, so this means they issued it on wednesday. I would say if it got out on wednesday -- you will get it either tomorrow or latest by wednesday. I am sure before this weekend..or even before you guys will get your POE.
but it will by over before you KNOW IT!!!
Probably Remembrance Day/Veterans Day screwed me up!
That's why I tried to change my interview date, but I was unable to do so.
I've sent at least four emails to the Montreal Consulate. Nothing so far.
I just called them up and talked to someone. She told me it could take up to a MONTH!
I asked to talk to her supervisor, but she refused and hung up!
I HATE and HATE and HATE babysitting everyone (USCIS, NVC, and Consulate)!

Congratulations CathyMac….. yay!!! i am so happy….
Approved
:)

OMG!!
… I was just catching up on the thread and the interview spreadsheet….and was wondering why hasn't the second round for canadians not begun….this is surprising…they haven't scheduled anyone after 10 december….atleast at montreal… i am pretty sure you guys will be between Dec 10-23. I wonder, could it be because some of the agents at the consulate may be taking time off for xmas and new years eve…and thats why they haven't scheduled it yet..
… they need to make sure the logistics is correct??? just guessing
CC Nov 4 but no interview date yet @ Montreal. Just called NVC I wonder how much longer and if we will still making in time for Dec interview. Aghhhhhhh!
-
Congratulations!!!!
I am so happy…for you..our timelines are like literally one day ahead or behind...
i 130 -- priority date nov 14 2013
approved in may… 2014
through NVC at the same time and NOW our interview is on Dec 8….lol…you are in ireland so you will get done 6/7 hours before me
are you guys planning to do your POE before xmas???
OH MY GOD.
So, on the bus into town today and I got a call... The Embassy!!!!! They needed to change my interview date and asked if I would be ok going earlier!!!!
I didnt even have to ask!! So happy now!!!!
Interview date now changed to December 8th from
December 23rd!!! -
Hmmmm, thanks….i am so envious..there are 4 of you on the same day…it will be a great party time...
all VJ people….
Will do!
To be fair, I have had both scenarios (seated and standing) when conducting business at the Calgary consulate. I expect I will need to be seated for this one as they will have to review all my docs on site (not having been fully processed at NVC). While those who have been screened should get away with a standing interview. Just my 'guestimation', though....

When i called, the lady who answered was very descriptive….she said to bring 5 passport pictures, interview letter, and your vaccination records. Also if you take any medication to bring those. I already asked i take multi-vitamins and that isn't necessary. Also they give you, your results in 3 business days. Also she said something very interesting - YOU can come on the day of your interview and pick up your medical results that day. For example, say you get Dec 15 as your interview date. And lets say you schedule your medical for dec 1. it takes them 3 business days to get the results (hence ready by dec 5) which means you can come back to pick it up on Dec 5 or after, OR if you let them know, you can come say on Dec 14 (the day before your interview) or Dec 15 at 7 am and pick up the medical results and go straight for your interview. they are like 10 min walking distance from the US consulate. I only say this as it is upto you as you will have to drive one extra time if you guys come to pick up your results before. You choice.
Thank you so much for being very descriptive. Great so my hubby is ready to set up that appt just waiting for interview date. I guess we will have to drive fir the appt and druve back up another day to p/u results since we live in Gatineau/Ottawa.

Ok this for immigrant visa interviewees for MONTREAL consulate...
so i was reading up a couple of reviews about the interview..basically this is the SYNOPSIS --- you go from initial security, enter doors, show confirmation of LOOMIS, then enter the elevators ..go up to floor 19 exit at the back and head to visa reception lady (get a ticket number), wait, go to the first window --- submit relevant documents pertaining to your case, get fingerprinted, then go sit back down and then are called again for your "interview" which in everyones review is NOT longer than 15 min. What is confusing to me is this window number 7. Some people say on their review is that you have a chair and you sit down and have space to place your documents and talk to the person face to face and some people said its like standing in front a teller at a bank with a glass separating you both. which one is it? I personally would prefer the former option…
So for the canadians going in the next couple of weeks for the interview…( i know a bunch of you are going)….when you all get approved, can you kindly make that clear…
in the interview review thread. THanks guys and wishing all of you the BEST!!!
-
OMG…. I am on the same day…though since you are in Pakistan..you will be going 10 hours before me….
Guys!! I m in absolute and complete shock!!! Got our interview date and I still can't believe It!! Dec 8!!!!! I m Sooo happy and excited. I wasn't expecting anything before 20th dec!!! Now if inshAllah interview goes well I can spend New Years with husband. V excited

I got my police clearance in june….from canada….since i have lived in india i got a clearance from there…too in march and again the indian embassy in july….i am not doing anything new..for montreal consulate interview your police clearance is valid for one year...
from what i remember canada police clearance only does a name check….you need to have some kind of a record to go further with fingerprints..and it takes sometime…at least here in montreal…since my name check was clear…and that is what i submitted and it has gone to the montreal embassy..
i am not doing anymore police clearance until the embassy specifically asks me to. technically i am within the one year validity ...
and yes i saw you got your case complete...
… i didn't see anyone scheduled after Dec 10-12 for montreal..so yes i think you have a very strong likelihood of getting your interview in late december….
Thanks TargetNovember14, how have you been? Getting all ready for your interview. So happy for you.
I have a question, do you know if we need biometrics and new police record. I am pretty sure not but I have read other people however I think its for India not us right???
Thanks again. Oh I got my case complete letter but no interview yet. I so wich I can still get December. -
OMG!!! there are like 3 canadians from here all on Nov 18 and one more on Nov 19…..i think you should all have name tags with VJ members written on it…
..this way you can all talk to each other…and then go out and celebrate….woohoo...
Mine too.
Congrats Msc13….atleast you have a dec 23 interview..and worst case scenario..you guys may not get christams together..but atleast NEW YEARS……woohoo..
Austin
It was the first thing I saw at 4.30 am this morning as I took my son swim training. I was just so happy for you. Did they like your jokes!! You guys must be over the moon. The journey has finally come to an end. When are you moving?
The day got better as I also received my interview date - 23rd December and so did Juan Bravo - 2nd December. Would have liked earlier in December but once my file reaches Sydney I am going to see if I can bring it forward. Still, I must not complain especially as I thought it wouldn't happen until January.
I am quite tired now and am going to have an early night.
Once again, a BIG congratulations.
Xxx -
oh boy….i am still ring through all documents …my interview is on December 8, so i have some time…still getting all the proof book together…LOL...
and YES STICKY TABS ARE VERY VERY IMPORTANT>..
….otherwise we will be in a very sticky situation at the consulate.
Heya! If you have your interview date go ahead and sign up for loomis. The Montreal email that everyone got was just for extra documents they require at the interview. I printed my confirmation right away and have it sitting with my big bundle of interview documents! I bought sticky tabs *____* organization or bust!
hmmm i think i am going for puppies….LOL….
Yup! Get signed up and print it out right away.
I intend to dazzle them with my organizational acumen.
My stickies have cats on them (would that be considered unprofessional?)
-
Thanks so much mandiimoose….i appreciate it…..i shall do that tomorrow ..its on the list….

I am not an expert..but why don't you think of it this way-- maybe they needed to give your case only one status update…and it was all COOL
….i think you are psyching yourself out…
.
150 photos!!!
… I guess you can take that many…I ma only taking about 20-30…important ones….and our relationship is 3 years …and we got married a year ago..and to top it…theres an age difference…so we will see...
and worrying is like a rocking chair….you keep moving but DONT GET ANYWHERE>>…
enjoy your time..get your paperwork ready and have a good time at the interview.. i think the most important thing is faith and confidence in yourself. you will do just fine and we all here on VJ will pray for you...
guys, i have a question!
so there are 14 CR1 cases for november in Ankara embassy (turkey)
and my case is the 9th case which is on november 18th, so there are 3 cases on the 17th and 4 cases on the 18th and 3 cases on the 19th. all these cases status is still ready BUT they all got status update last week like some nov 5th, nov 6th and nov 7th. EXCEPT my case didnt get status update it's still says: status update: Oct 29th.
i'm afraid if this means early signal of A.P
does anybody have any idea about this status update thingy??
i noticed that cases get 2 times status updates before the interview.
so i'm freaking out about this..
btw, my case changed from " IN TRANSIT " to " READY " on Oct 27 and got status update on Oct 29th!
similar to all the other cases too they all had first status update around (OCT 27, 28, 29) except that they got second status update last week whereas my case didnt..
im stressing out so much about this and like everyone here in vj i dont wana wait more months... and we already made plans to travel around california if i get the visa.. but it's all depending on the interview and the visa..
oh btw, about the photos album, i picked photos of us and the trips we've been to and family photos and stuff it's 150 photos!
so should i take like a photocopy of all thses photos for the interview in case the CO wants the photos so i can give the photocopy??? or i should give the original printed photos?? ( which BTW wasnt very cheap actually =) around 50 $ )
plus 20 photos of our marriage photos!
thank u in advanced (guys btw i want to thank everyone here on vj this has been really helpful and awesome people! sharing and explaining things experiences..)
-
LOl yes i saw it on Facebook too… i am hoping to meet him this evening..in person to get the fill story…but i am sure he will post the full interview...

Wait I don't understand….So there are no interviews for people with case complete from October in December for Australia????
..
i mean if you look at the spreadsheet, i don't see anyone being scheduled for australia. I agree its a small sample set, but this is so weird. Also, I don't see major scheduling issues in previous month for australia. You can check the spreadsheet yourself. I think Suki in NY said they only schedule Immigrant visa interview once a week. Maybe i read it wrong. Thats why its taking so much time.
I am really sorry to hear that msc13. I sincerely hope you can get an earlier date…though don't give up hope. Worst case scenario-- you get an interview date for january, you can call up and get an earlier date…
… also, one has to say…we are OUT OF NVC….
… i know its painful for you and the kids..but at least you don't have to deal with the operators at the NVC asking about case completes!!!! LOL
Got CC email.
So from reading the thread this morning looks like no more interviews in December. The children are beyond disappointment. Me too. Do we think this is for definite for all embassies.
When will they start scheduling January? -
OMG!!!! wow……finally samreen…i have been watching you and soloenta…..finally…come on over to the interview thread…..yay...
Thankyou!! Yes I remember u from there as well? What's ur scan date? Nvc seems to have gotten a bit faster. I wish u all the best and a speedy case complete
Wohooo congrats -
YAY welcome Crissaria……woohoo..

WEll i think you just might squeeze in through….i don't see any dates after the 10dec…for canadian immigrant visa….fingers crossed…..

So a dumb question for all you folks….
when do you pay the $165 GC fees? Only after you get the visa? Or can you pay it earlier? and if yes …where do we go pay it? Or do we wait to ge instructions in the packet that is sent by the consulate and they tell you in that?
Thanks in advance
