These are MY personal opinions, it is not an attack on any of you.
    1. That everything is about money. It's vulgar to discuss money 24-7 in my personal opinion.
    2. That there is no universal health-care. I come from the 3rd world where there is none but paid for insurance covers 100%, co-pays are unheard of.
    3. That some people treat immigrants with contempt even if they have jumped through hoops to get here.
    4. That some people who are not disabled go on disability, milking the social security fund more than it needs to be.
    5. That some people are generally interested in doing the the bare minimum, especially in union/govt jobs.
    6. That nearly everyone thinks all army personnel are "heroes" for fighting in unnecessary wars. No, you are not a hero, you are just doing a job.
    7. That sales tax is not included in prices. Why can't you just give a sticker price on everything that includes all taxes? It's not rocket science.
    8. That some people think this is still the "greatest country on earth" when in fact I see a society in decline due to laziness.
    9. That it's perfectly acceptable to "speak your mind" and hide behind archaic Amendments to the Constitutions when in fact you are spouting hate speech.
    10. That you just don't CARE.

Ouryear reacted to TBoneTX in URGENT! K-1 visa interview next Friday. Now have a serious doubt.
The OP fixed this situation. However, for the benefit of others who are reading this thread: The above advice is perhaps the worst ever offered on VisaJourney. If the consul suspects that you're married, you WILL be refused the visa and will be placed in the position of trying to "prove a negative."
In general, provide the consul with information that YOU want HIM to see.
OP, looking forward to a positive report.

Hi thanks a lot. Sorry for the late response I was travelling for the interview. Biometric went by real smooth and I was in and out in 5 minutes with around 10 minutes of waiting outside in the queue. I will write more in the consulate review. I went by everybody's suggestion here and removed any conversation screen shots that had 'suspicious words' in them and replaced those with other conversations. I already am not wearing the ring because it is with the jewelry store for repairs. But I am carrying a receipt from the store with just in case they want to see the ring. And I like your idea about telling them that we have only blocked a ticket but they might ask me for an evidence there and I have none so I am just not going to say anything about the travel plans. I will definitely share my experience in the review section. Hopefully everything goes well tomorrow *nervous*
And thanks a lot I need luck, loads of good luck tomorrow.

there is no link... this is just CBP's extreme interpretation of the law which is completely absurd. Just an excuse to deny entry to some people.
I am also having a very hard time believing it's true... I may be able to understand how in the OP's case it makes a lot more sense even though i find it exaggerated but the babysitting/helping on simple everyday task thing makes me "lmao"

I am not so sure why everyone is being so tough on the OP. It's not like he was trying to skip the waiting line of getting the right visa, or avoid doing something the right way. I've been reading on this site for 5 years now, and married a citizen of another country. I get upset when people knowingly break our country's rules, but this isn't your standard case. I've visited many different countries, and when I first visited the UK to meet my now husband was shocked at the questioning I received. I went as a tourist to meet him. They assumed I wasn't coming home. After over an hour of questioning and being left to sit in a corner when they questioned my friend (at the time we weren't dating, just about to meet), I was terrified. Finally an upcoming paid trip to Florida finally made them realize I was going home; I wasn't lying about coming over to meet him and see some sights and then going home.
My main point is - does everyone on this site expect everyone to be a legal expert of the ins and outs of the law of every foreign country they intend to visit before visiting? Or, like the OP said, wouldn't it have been nice for CBP to explain that even though he wasn't paid - he was still working. I mean, fine, give him the ban - but isn't there a more respectful way of doing it? He didn't lie or mis-represent what he was doing. He simply didn't understand the finer details that even though he wasn't getting paid, he was still breaking the law.
    Just curious...

I absolutely agree! About a week after I contacted my congressman I received my NOA2. Similar to your situation, the immigration liason hadn't even heard back from USCIS until after I received the update text. I strongly recommend contacting your congressman's or senator office.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm sure if you get your Senate and congressman involved they should be able to help. I've heard of similar situations and one they enlisted help they were able to get approved. Did they ask if you attempted to marry, or was that information volunteered?

Mine took 127 days which is a little over 4 months and I didn't get an RFE. I believe someone said TSC is backlogged.
