The OP timeline is not filled out nor is there any information of that listed on their profile page. I saw this posting on the home page of the VJ site. None of that information shows. (subforum) The guides do give some information regarding all types of immigration options.

I think a big part of the problem is as soon as people get their NOA2 and their process does start moving, they give up on the cause! That's why there's no push for immigration reform. Everyone is whining and complaining but when that NOA2 comes, it's all butterflies and rainbows
If we really want to change the system, we need to stand up for everyone going through the process. Sadly, most people are concerned with their own timelines. There's so much focus on illegal immigration in this country, we need to remind our government that legal immigration needs attention!

I believe in this case, she would be the one traveling as her fiancé is the one in the US. It's much easier for a USC to visit the Philippines than it is for her to visit the US, but in this case, she will have to move forward with a tourist visa anyway because she won't have enough evidence to qualify for a waiver.

This kind of post really rubs people the wrong way because we all are working/have worked so hard to be with our loved ones. What you're going to attempt is clear cut immigration fraud. Your actions are the reason legal immigration is harder for the rest of us.
Judging or not, that's why you're getting attacked on here. So if I were you, I'd talk about it with your husband and your kids and leave Visa Journey out of this.

It's impossible to exactly know. There are too many variables. TSC is always going to be conservative about the date of the cases they are processing to avoid an influx of service requests.
I think the best estimate now is probably mid-late February as an average. That being said, there are still cases from January that haven't been processed.

Glad to hear your fiancé's grandfather is doing better. He has an important wedding to look forward to! Great idea to book a vacation- yes, you definitely need it! Just a few weeks away! That will give you a morale boost to face the rest of this process. Hoping for an update for you soon. Absolutely ridiculous to make people suffer in this way for so long.
Thanks for your congratulations We still have a few hills to climb, but there's an end in sight. I wish that for you and everyone else waiting this long as well!

No problem! It's easy to get jealous of approvals that happen fast, but it's just a waste of energy to do so. Everyone will get their NOA2 eventually.

Yes, and in my opinion unethical and immoral. People invest hundreds to apply for this visa and to be denied an explanation is just wrong. I'm sorry Maxzim. I hope everything works out for you.

nitsirk7562 got a reaction from majikgenie in Obtaining NYS drivers licence
This is from the NYS DMV website:
To live in a house, a home, an apartment, a room or other similar place in NYS for 90 days is considered "presumptive evidence" that you are a resident of New York State. A police officer can use this as evidence to issue a traffic ticket if you drive in New York State without a NYS driver license or vehicle registration.
It's pretty friggin confusing if you ask me. I was just trying to figure out what my fiancé needs to do when he gets here and I'm still unsure. I think the 30 day thing doesn't matter because their definition is kind of vague (within 30 days of being there for 90 days? really- what are they going to do- deny you?). I think once you can provide the 6 points of evidence that you need to get a license, you can get one? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

I got a case update last night that my case has been shipped to the DOS for processing. No notifications in over 6 months, then 3 in a week! I can get used to this.
So, question, when should I call NVC?

184 too! I'm with you guys. I just got off the phone with USCIS. I hate calling them. They wouldn't let me talk to a Tier 2. All they say is December 17. It's maddening. My patience is wearing very thin. I hope we hear soon.

This is really good advice! There was a time when I couldn't even look at this site without feeling ill. Now I've accepted it and enjoy other people's feedback and encouragement. No use being bitter about it. No one going through this process is "special" and that's a tough pill to swallow sometimes.

Officers don't hand out DUI's because someone "looks" high. He had to have failed a drug test. His story makes zero sense, so he's lying to you. With one DUI pending and a criminal history of abuse, I doubt you'd be able to receive approval. And if he is approved, that's just friggin scary.
No disrespect, just saying you might want to evaluate this situation a little further. Sure, people make mistakes. The "leaving the baby in the crib" story makes no sense either. I'd actually look into his criminal police reports to get the truth. Seriously hoping you'll reconsider, for your safety.

    Hi there!
From reading other threads from people at TSC, service requests cannot be put in until 6 months now (which I think is RIDICULOUS!) Also, it may look like people are being approved that sent their petitions in after you, but a lot of people are mistaking TSC with the Dallas Lockbox and a majority of those people, I would say, were actually sent to CSC. I think now would be an acceptable time for a congressional inquiry. Your country has nothing to do with it! I would definitely start contacting my Congressman and Senators! There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason as to the order they approve petitions. There is a February TSC thread floating around here somewhere that could be informative for you!
Good luck and keep us posted!
