I submitted my parents document July 30 and still waiting.  
 
You don't need I864a if they don't file tax jointly. if they do they need to fill up I-864a and send W2 form if not you will get RFE or they will ask you to upload in your interview and that will delay your visa. 

W2 is only required if they file tax married jointly if not tax transcript is enough.
 

@bhasin Every case is different. If i were you just ask your joint sponsor if they file tax jointly to signed the I-864a and copy W2 form. we all dont want a delay.
I know this process drives nuts...  i remember way back 2014 when my husband petition me and we dont know anything about paper work and i am so glad i found this website and save as a lot of money and time. i did it on my own starting CR1 to Renewal to Citizenship and now petition my parents and this site help me a lots. i dont see nothing wrong if we are prepared. They might missed it and Embassy will ask. it happens all the time.

wait.. did they accept your I-864 without i-864a? did they file tax jointly?

I am the petitioner. my parents is the beneficiary. and my income is enough but since me and my husband file tax jointly he signed the I-864a and we send w2 form.

@soniavh i dont think you need to send passport photos. I think thats for NVC stage.

copy of my Naturalization certificate
copy of my birth certificate
copy of my marriage certificate 
copy of my mom birth certificate and dad birth certificate since i petition both of them w/ separate folders
copy of my mom and dad marriage certificate

Thank you @Ozgirl1981 make sure bring your husband in your interview. and bring supporting documents. They interview us since i have pending I-751. She ask my IRS transcript and bank account but when she dig on my papers i have lots of copy there so she us me anything supporting documents that i didn't sent on my I-751. lucky i bring a copy of our house title and thats all she took to me.

Hubby talked to NVC earlier about DS261 need to be completed and he said its false checklist and our AOS accepted even we got 2 mistake :joy: God really makes miracles... and accrdng to the NVC rep no need to resubmit the DS261 cos its been reviewed now.. and accepted and wait 5 buiseness day to invoice.... Thank you Lord... this is a big blessing....
