Please I want to ask, does joint sponsor needs to bring his tax returns or transcript and W2 as well?
If you submit IRS transcript which is preferred then you dont have to include w2. if you submit your tax return you have to include w2

We submitted our documents on Dec 26. For the AOS Package, I submitted Tax returns for 2017, 2016, and 2015. My income for those years doesn't qualify me for being the sole sponsor. So, as a proof for current (2018) income I submitted a letter from my employer and 3 recent payslips.
I just received the W2 for 2018 today. Should I upload the W2 and resubmit the AOS? Is it going to cause additional delay in reviewing my documents?
Thanks to anyone responding.
W2 should definitely help as proof of income. Also, if you can file your taxes early for 2018 which adds to the proof and include tax return along with w2.

Anyone get their case numbers ?seventh week for me ,still nothing
That is not cool so much time to wait just for case number. Just wait for one more week since that's their max time for case number which is actually unfair, even the USCIS approval notice implies that one should be getting their case number within 30 days.
If you don't get your case number in 8 weeks call and talk to a supervisor.

If someone is confused about status of the documents, you can read more about it here :
The Status column will reflect one of the following statuses: Missing = You need to upload and submit this document. Uploaded = You scanned and uploaded this document but you have not submitted it for NVC’s review. N/A = You marked this document as not available. Submitted = You submitted this document and it is with NVC for review. Rejected = NVC reviewed this document and something is incorrect. Please look at NVC’s feedback to the right under “Response Note” and then correct and re-submit the document. Accepted = NVC has reviewed this document and there are no changes that need to be made. If NVC finds an error on a required document, they will reject the document and tell you what needs to be corrected. They will post their feedback to the right of the document, in the Response Note column. They will also send you a message in your CEAC account detailing what the error is and how to fix it. You then need to delete the rejected document, and upload a corrected document. After you submit it, NVC will review it.

Hey Guys,
I just called NVC after an hour long wait 😐 it connected. So for the people who are uploading everything to CEAC does not need to worry about status shown in
https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx
because it does not apply to them.
Wait for 3 weeks after submission of all the documents in CEAC.

Did you also submitted the Civil Documents in CEAC as shown in my previous screenshot?
I just emailed NVCelectronic at state.gov as per instruction at https://nvc.state.gov/submit
I figured it shouldn't take much time to email them So I submitted my Civil Documents in CEAC and emailed them as well because of the confusing status.

It could be that NVC is reviewing your documents. You should Call NVC and find out they know much more than CEAC site. It could be that they received all documents yet they are reviewing. So you should call them to find out.
May be its different from case to case. See this is what we did:

My Lawyer did everything. He asked for my checking account info. Thats what he did. He did uploaded AOS but other documents were emailed because CEAC did said either to email or mail. And after 13 days case is closed. So I am not sure how did you upload documents. Because i remember seeing CEAC asking either to email or mail.
May be its different case to case. The NVC status does shows me to email the documents but I have already uploaded them to CEAC , do I have to email them as well? I am planning to call them on Monday to clarify this.

So its Bombay. Yes its normal. Even if you submit AOS and then email other documents it will still say that until case close. It takes 10 to 14 days for case close. After Case close, You will receive email from NVC that it will work with Bombay Consulate to schedule interview and CEAC screen changes to this:
I have not emailed any documents.
After I completed IV application in CEAC then I was able to submit Civil documents for my Wife. So everything AOS, IV application, Civil documents have been uploaded to CEAC. It just confusing to see in the status that : "Action required: Submit requested documents"
NVC services are not good because of the delays, Errors in using CEAC, even the payment processing at CEAC shows errors when you try to submit payment :
An error occurred while submitting your payment. Please try again later. Exception - Client found response content type of 'text/plain;charset=UTF-8', but expected 'application/soap+xml'. The request failed with the error message: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope"> <env:Header> <env:Upgrade> <env:SupportedEnvelope qname="ns1:Envelope" xmlns:ns1="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope"/> <env:SupportedEnvelope qname="ns2:Envelope" xmlns:ns2="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"/> </env:Upgrade> </env:Header> <env:Body> <env:Fault> <env:Code> <env:Value>env:Receiver</env:Value> <env:Subcode> <env:Value>Payment</env:Value> </env:Subcode> </env:Code> <env:Reason> <env:Text xml:lang="en">Policy Falsified</env:Text> <env:Text xml:lang="en">Service unavailable</env:Text> </env:Reason> <env:Role>https://caservices.state.gov/eis/c1/epss/collections/synchcollections</env:Role> <env:Detail> <msg>-4</msg> </env:Detail> </env:Fault> </env:Body> </env:Envelope>
So after trying for 2 days I was able to submit my payments. Customer rep had no clue about the errors he suggested to use IE , I used google chrome and after repeated tries it went through. He even suggested to only use checking account but that false I paid mine using saving account.

What are the first 3 letters of your NVC case number?

17 hours ago, G502 said:When did you submitted them? I did on the 18th haven’t heard from NVC maybe because of the holydays and it says the same as you.
Uploaded everything by Dec 21st. Seems like the status is not working correctly, it should not suppose to say upload documents even after we have uploaded required documents. Thanks for confirming

Hello,
I have submitted all of my documents using CEAC but when I check my status using the following link
https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx
It shows me Action required : Submit Documents !?
I don't understand I am planning to call them on Monday for this. Can someone check and confirm if they have similar status ?

Yes , it will be fine or you can just print it out the I-864 and then sign it but then you have to scan all the pages into one pdf file, i just uploaded my signs and paste it on i-864ez . Its hard to tell if they are done manually or copy paste...haha
I see. If that is accepted it seems like a good idea. Also there is pdf efill feature which you can sign with a mouse 🙂
and if I scan/click every individual pages then combine them into one pdf that should also be accepted ? this is the route i am planning to go because I have already printed everything hopefully this should not be an issue, if anyone can confirm it would be a peace of mind. Ty
Signing it electronically = typewritten and instruction says not to do that.

You can just sign it electronically and upload that whole one I-864 PDF file to CEAC .It should be one file ,you can't upload separate pages
Also, I understand I cant upload separate pages. I was thinking more like scan/click individual pages then combine them into one pdf in photoshop.

Thank you for your reply.
My confusion was created by this line in https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf
"Signature. Each affidavit must be properly signed and filed. For all signatures on this affidavit, USCIS will not accept a stamped or typewritten name in place of a signature"
is it sufficient to sign it electronically and upload directly completed I-864 to CEAC and then take the signed one to the interview?

Hello Fellow Immigrants :)
I am also waiting for my case number from NVC, they have received my case on Nov2 and my consulate would be Mumbai likely because rules changed and even for the people of North India have to goto Mumbai :-|
I am self petitioning for my wife and I have a confusion it would be awesome if someone would shed some light on it that would save time in future.
I have downloaded AOS (i-864) from USCIS filled all the required information printed and signed it which is required as per instruction. Now question is:
when we upload i-864 to CEAC do I have to scan/click evey individual pages of i-864 most importantly signed page and make a PDF in photoshop then Upload to CEAC right?
OR
We can just upload the completed i-864 page without worry about the signature and bring the original to the interview?
Thank you everyone for your time :)

Mine was just 543 kb. You can just use the adobe efill option to place your handwritten signature from a photo click and use the original fill-able I-864 without worrying about any compression.
Yes that is correct.
