  1. <p>Thanks Ann! We keep checking the USCIS website for our case status update but it's telling us "

    • At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information."Any insight on that? Do you get the same message back? I wonder if that means an RFE?

    Hi Lileepad!

    Sorry for not answering sooner.

Yes same happened to us, I was able to see our case since the day we got the first electronic notificacion but now is gone.

Same happened to a few members of the April filers thread.

Seems normal at this early stage.

    Have a nice day!

    Anna

  2. The online case checker has also gone down on me today, from googling it seems to be a couple of days after the hard copy NOA1 arrives? Ours arrived Wednesday.

Our NOA2 is estimated first week of May, my birthday on 4th May so would make it the best pressie ever lol!

We'd done all our planning & costings based on TSC plus a bit extra for any delays, now wondering if we may have to do a NOA2 extension for 2months so we can stick with our ideal wedding date & to keep the saving on track?!?!

Good luck to all our fellow April filers....exciting times guys ?

Definitely would be a great birthday present!

I really hope you get it.

  3. Hi, how do you explain the site? Like what did you say? In the RFE that we got, it states there... "you are required to submit the name of the website/service and a copy of the signed written consent form that the IMB obtained from the beneficiary." Do i have to explain the whole site? Or just tell them the name? Or write adeclaration of how we met? Thanks

    Hi MissMae

Is a good idea to print the terms and conditions from filipinocupid and add them to your rfe.

You can also in a separate page write an explanation about the purpose of the site; could be something like this:

    Dear service center professional

As we explained in our petition I met my Fianceé online through the site Filipinocupid.com

Please be advised that section 4 (B) (ii) of IMBRA exempts dating companies whose principal business is not to provide dating services between US citizens and foreign nationals so long as it charges comparable rates and offers comparable services to all individuals regardless of gender or country of citizenship. Consequently Filipinocupid is exempt as it falls within this exemption (as do many other large dating companies).

Full information regarding IMBRA can be found here http://usaimmigrationattorney.com/images/IMBRA2005.pdf

Go to page 14 and highlight the part that says:

    (4) INTERNATIONAL MARRIAGE BROKER.— (A) IN GENERAL.—The term ‘‘international marriage broker’’ means a corporation, partnership, business, individual, or other legal entity, whether or not organized under any law of the United States, that charges fees for providing dating, matrimonial, matchmaking services, or social referrals between United States citizens or nationals or aliens lawfully admitted to the United States as permanent residents and foreign national clients by providing personal contact information or otherwise facilitating communication between individuals. (B) EXCEPTIONS.—Such term does not include— (i) a traditional matchmaking organization of a cultural or religious nature that operates on a nonprofit basis and otherwise operates in compliance with the laws of the countries in which it operates, including the laws of the United States; or (ii) an entity that provides dating services if its principal business is not to provide international dating services between United States citizens or United States residents and foreign nationals and it charges comparable rates and offers comparable services to all individuals it serves regardless of the individual’s gender or country of citizenship.

    Hope this helps!!

  4. Anna28...Yes I did, and it still doesnt work...its weird because I change some of my last numbers to see other cases and some of them are stil working and some other are in the same way. Ive read that it means our cases are being updating but not sure and i dont want to put my hopes up lol

Hahaha I did the same! :dancing:

I check 20 cases back and forward and most of them are for employment authorization. The one right after mine says:

"we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E) at your local office"

I made a profile at uscis webpage, it doesn't have any information about my case but says it was updated April 14th.

I activated email and phone alerts.

  5. hi guys...is there anyone having issues with the USCIS website? today I saw our case status (as every day lol) and I couldnt!!!...this is what it says:

At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information.

    Hi Star.

I wonder if you tried to check the status of your case today.

Mine is the same, it shows the last update was April14th.

    Thanks

    • At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information.

That is the message that greeted me this morning whilst checking our case status online at the USCIS case status tool.

Now I have read on older posts that this could be due to 3 things:

    1. Case status changing ( hopefully to approved!)

    2. RFE coming ( PLEASE NOT!)

    3. Site down for maintenance.

Anyone experiencing the same issue, or is it just me?

Any advice that would calm the nerves would be appreciated. Or just a sympathetic ear will do as well :-)

    All the best

    Kid

    Hi Newkid!

I am experiencing the same issue, we got our noa 1 april 6th and I was able to see :" your case has been received...." from that same day until yesterday morning, so if you get an answer please let me know :star:

I joined a group of late-march/april filers all routed to California,in case you are interested join us! Would be great to track our timelines to get an approximate date of approval and share experiences.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/543709-april-2015-filers/

  6. Thanks Mayra and Anna! I hope the rest of this all goes quickly. Regardless, I'll get to see the NOA1 in person on Friday! Going to California for the weekend to see my man, providing I have no issues at the border (which I never have).

    Awesome!!

    Happy for you!

I have to wait a few weeks to see my F again...he is coming may 7th.

    Enjoy your time together!

    Love...sweet love! sigh... (L)

  7. Hey all!

I was over on the March filers forum, but was told I might need to be considered an April filer, since I didn't get my NOA until April. Not sure, but I thought I'd come over and say "hey" anyway! Some of the other threads are getting a little down as well, and y'all seem to be pretty upbeat, so I hope you don't mind me joining you!

I am a filer from Alabama and was supposed to go to TSC, but was sent straight to CSC instead.

My case on the USCIS site also has no information given. It was working just fine until a few days ago. I think that's been common, so I wouldn't worry about it. I assume it means that your case is actually being worked on, or needs to be updated, and it takes a few days to come up on the site. So I see it as a good thing! It probably means your status is about to go to the next step!

Here's wishing speedy processes for everyone filing!

    Hi HeyM! Welcome!!

Thank you for sharing your experience! ... We still shocked for being routed to CSC lol cannot imagine how wonderful would be to get approved soon :) let's wait and see.

    Good luck on your journey!

  8. if you enable the app to send you push notifications then you just get a pop up message on your device when a status changes :D makes it less dreadful on you ...hahah

Nadine, I just downloaded the app, added the receipt number in My Cases as you suggest, but there is no information.

    Case status update: (empty)

    Case details: (empty)

LUD: Upgrade (no idea what does this mean)

Will chill out for a couple of days...I guess is too soon to panic! lol :pop:

  9. Good morning guys.

We just started our journey earlier this month. We got our first notification via sms April 6th and was able to view online "my case has been received" on the same day.

Today during our skype date I was telling my F how to use uscis web page to track our case but we got this:

"At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information"

Does anyone know what this means? Are they making updates to the website?

    Thanks In advance!

    Anna.

  10. Thanks to Anna for sending me here :)

Sooo nice to finally have a "hate free" convo here :)

I am also an April filer. My fiance is from Texas so we should have obviously been routed to TSC but we received a WAC receipt number...so CSC it is.

    Some dates:

    i-129f send off: 06/04/2015

    electronic NOA-1: 10/04/2015

    No paper NOA-1 yet...

Glad to have joined the group and I hope we will all get some more good news this month :energy:

    Hi Nadine!!

    :goofy:

  11. Hey Guys thought I would give you guys an update you guys can read it here :

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/536340-slightly-confused-marital-issues-since-cr1/

Since then I've been told and thanks to FB I've found out that the OW (other woman) is pregnant and that they've bought a vehicle and renting a house togather. I guess deep down I was still hoping in that my marriage could be salvagable but its obviously not. So during one of the many arguements that we had he said he wanted to be friends but stay married. Yeah my reaction was likd ####### are you talking about he said he cared and loved me and that he would be forever greatful for everything I've done for him. A week later he's going to text me do you want me to look for a lawyer or do you want me too. All in all guys I had already talked to a lawyer and since our marriage was never consummated, we have nothing that even proves that we're a couple, and he's obviously not impotent (sorry guys) my lawyer said that I could get my marriage annualed due to fraud with that being said he would be out of status and that USCIS would place an order of deportation on him. Obviously there are more steps in this process but he did say that becuase it would be an annualment due to fraud that he would be automatically barred from ever entering the country again.

I'm over the crying spells and yes it hurts like hell because I believed every lie that has ever came out of his mouth, but I've come to realize that I need to take care of me. I also have a great family and friends that has stuck by my side as I go through this whole process. I believe that God has a purpose in this whole situation and if it didn't work out its because he has something better. :)

Thanks for reading guys have a blessed night and if you have any questions or comments hit me up.

I am very sorry for what happened :crying: please act asap, kick him out of your country and your life.

Things like this really upset me!

I send you a big hug...I will be praying for you

 you are strong, you are wonderful...have faith, this too shall pass.

    Anna.

  12. Hola, quien sabe sobre de mi situacion? En Medellin y necesito el certificado de antecedentes penales de Argentina

Hi, all. Wondering if its accurate when I say that Fiance needs to go to an Argentina Embassy to complete the certificado de antecedentes penales . I know the part...

You must obtain the nationally produced "Certificado de Antecedentes Penales" issued by the "Registro Nacional de Reincidencia" of the Federal Ministry of Justice and Human Rights at Tucumán 1353, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.

The petition must specifically mention that the certificate is requested "con excepción al artículo 51 del Código Penal".

For further information, please contact the above mentioned office by phone: 4374-5611/ 12/ 13. or visit the web site where you will find additional information at: http://www.dnrec.jus.gov.ar/Atencion_Particular.aspx

I then get to http://www.dnrec.jus.gov.ar/SolicitudCertificado/Default.aspx?mod=mandatario with the instructions about going to the embassy. But the drop down selection makes you choose a $ delivery option , and a type of representative. He is doing this, so I found the personal selection @ http://www.dnrec.jus.gov.ar/SolicitudCertificado/Default.aspx?mod=personal but its instructions are for doing this within Argentina, I believe.

He is in Medellin, so he needs to travel to Bogota for this completed form? And could we choose the 24 hour delivery and pick it up? Wanted to do this over the internet now, but may have to do this right before our K1 interview; but cutting it close sounds stressful. Any Input? Thanks

Perdon mi Spanglish! Gracias por su ayuda

    Hi Michy!

Looking at the Argentinian embassy website in Colombia, they have a section for this kind of document, seems like this process must be done in person in Bogota, since there is not consulate or official office in Medellin.

    http://www.ecolo.mrecic.gov.ar/en/node/10171

My advice is to contact the embassy in Bogota, ask them how long the process may take, so when he goes for the medical check and the interview would be possible to do everything the same week.

    Good luck on your journey.

  13. Again, routing of petitions is not based on beneficiary's country. Do you mean you haven't seen a lot of beneficiary's from Colombia at CSC? Because that would just be a coincidence of where the US citizen lived.. again. You said you understand but then you said the same thing I corrected you on again. Maybe a language barrier thing....

    And Nadine, chill darling.

Hi Stef, Yes, I haven't seen a lot of cases from Colombia being routed/assigned to CSC.

I have been reading a lot of forums (English and Spanish) and I would say for latin american countries like 80% of the petitions goes to Texas. I am also in a whatsapp group filing k1 for central and south america beneficiaries, so far we are 42 participants and I am the only one routed to California (the group has been active since last year I joined them in February) My guess is you are right and maybe because mostly of the petitioners are from Florida,Dallas,Chicago...etc they were routed to TSC...who knows, let's wait and see. :pop:

    Have a good day! :energy:

    Anyway

  14. Where you are routed depends on the US Citizen's STATE, not the benefiary's country. Currently, it doesn't matter what state in the US the petitioner is from, all new I-129fs (only starting with those received around the week of March 27, 2015) are being routed to California Service Center instead to help relieve the backlog of the Texas Service Center, which is currently running 8 months behind the California Service Center. That means people in with NOA1's in March of thise year who went to CSC are currently being approved, while at TSC there are people from August and September of last year are still waiting, with wait times up over 200 days now.

I UNDERSTAND the routed depends on the us citizen's state, I was just telling Nadine that petitions from my country are not commun to get routed to CSC, also I know now what happened to the new petitions sent after March 27th, we didn't know that when we filed.

  15. Hey Anna,

thanks you sooo much for sharing the group with me! Instantly joined!!!

It is soo nice to see so many happy people on there...we were lucky and we should be surrounded with positive thoughts.

When did you submit your I-129f?

Keep me updated about your case as well!

Best of luck to you and thanks again for the positivity :)

    Nadine

    Hi Nadine!

We submitted our package on April 1st after working hard on it for almost a week! lol

My F got a confirmation/receipt number by sms April 6th and noa1 hard copy arrived last friday April 10th.

Yeesss! Of course I will let you kow how is it going (F) I still surprised because not too many cases from my country (Colombia) are routed to CSC.

    Hugs!!

  16. I feel like some people here are just soooo negative!!! Oh my...I do get that y'all are frustrated at your situation but to wish the same on others is a little dramatic don't you think? No offense...but I simply posted it to let people know that my case was directly routed since many thought the transfer meant that older petitions are being transferred to CSC...which still can happen...but all I can do is inform people about MY situation.

All I am saying is that I get that it is hard to sometimes be happy for others when you are in a miserable situation yourself (or so it seems) but to give people a bad attitude for it is just wrong and immature....we are all adults here so we should be able to deal with things in a more appropriate manner.

And I DO NOT believe that my petition is going to be processed "much slower" since I filed only one week after the transfer was announces which clearly means that statistically not that many cases have been filed within just 7 days so the stack of rerouted petitions is still kind of small.

So before you go around destroying everyone's happy mood...maybe just think about whether that really contributes to your success and happiness; and evaluate if it's really necessary to put out there.

    My same thoughts NadineK91!

We had no idea about the news from uscis, we were just hoping to be approved by the end of the year, luckily we were routed to CSC as well. I was surprised and start looking for answers here and in a couple of forums where I see people sharing their happiness there are very rude/jealous replies... Please keep me update about your petition, we got our noa1 april 6th, would be great to see how long its going to take for you and me.

There is also a group for April fillers in case you want to join us!

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/543709-april-2015-filers/

Have a nice day and good luck on your journey!

    Anna.
