CheekyMonkeys154 got a reaction from wbeem in Progress thread for TSC filers now between NVC and Interview Stage
I totally agree, I think having that "final" date for the interview and seeing the light at the end would be so helpful. I am so happy for you guys and that looks to mean hopefully you'll make it to your wedding date you wanted? I can't wait to get our date so we can plan a more specific time and date and watch everyone else on here get theirs too. Yay for progress for us all!

Please listen to the great advice given here. My sisterinlaw married my brother after a few red flags - the biggest being that she always wanted children (her life long dream) and although he said he did too they didn't talk much about it or make plans. She never got to meet my family until after they were married either. After they were married, he finally came out and told her that he was pretty sure he was sterile and that he didn't want kids. When he is around them, he isn't even nice or approachable. He hates kids, honestly. We could have told her if we had known her or if she had waited to see more of the truth. They are divorced now and had a very sad, difficult 2 year marriage. Please consider that even little issues turn in to really big issues when you get married - just because they are always in your face.

Hi Toria,
You can submit it. They won't assign an interview until you send in your Readiness form, so it makes no difference if you submit the DS160 now or at the same time as you are ready to get things moving.

Yes yes! And right you should be comfortable with yourself. If they want to know what you say they will make the effort to listen. And who likes the drive thru lol and yes all the ladies swoon over the accent. I just smile at them like yup he's mine. Haha

You are looking for a CR-1 visa. Get married there first then file for the visa. Wait times are about a year. The K-1 fiance visa is to come to the U.S. and get married here in the U.S. and adjust their status while they are here. Current times are roughly 4 to 8 months or so. The 90 days you referred to in the timeframe you have to get married once he touches U.S. soil.
There are many more details with each so decide which is best for you and this site will help you every step of the way.

This thread has become my new Facebook
It's nice to be able to have somewhere to go and rant or be excited and know that it's not going to be misinterpreted. We have such a nice little group here. I'm hoping for some more approvals for all those September filers still waiting so we can get more people to join our party.

Yes, I submitted Packet 3 without receiving it. It is the applicant's readiness form. I won't receive the letter from the embassy because USCIS completely ignored our letter to them a few months ago notifying them of my change of address and as the embassy mail is returned, not redirected, I will never get it so I used the link in the sticky to get the instructions online.
Regarding time frame for interviews, they seem to have been recently scheduled for around 4 weeks, give or take, from the time of the medical. It varies and some have been sooner, some later. It is probably also affected by holidays, time of year and all those good things so we sit in yet another phase of the unknown. There has not been a single part of this application process where we have been able to plan around a date, has there?! Anyway, they won't assign an interview until they have my medical results which won't be in until the end of this week so there is nothing for me to check or watch in the meantime. Now it's just a waiting game.
On another topic, I contacted Knightsbridge this morning and they are going to amend our DS3025 forms to reflect our chicken pox history and email me the new ones by the end of the day. OK, so there's something I can check every hour The receptionist seemed unconvinced that we needed this but I was very insistent that after paying what I did over the weekend, I am not going to be paying for another medical in a few months because someone left a box blank. She was very nice, but I will keep an eye on the emails this afternoon and make sure I get it before I cross it off my checklist.

CheekyMonkeys154 reacted to Cody and Daisy in I was just approved k-1 visa but I need help
The moment you were issued the k1 visa, your tourist visa was cancelled. The k1 is a non immigrant visa with immigrant intent so you no longer need a visitor visa.
It wasn't your visa, it was a gift.
Uscis don't care if your relationship will or will not work out.
Those are the rules.

Yes, and we get to make two trips. We were going to fly down for the day and fly back, but it worked out more expensive and I wouldn't have been able to get to the Medical in time from the airport with public transport. It actually ran up a higher quote in the end, too, with all the extras for getting around.
For the interview it will definitely be an overnight, given that they schedule them all so early in the morning, but I am tying that in with a farewell visit with a close friend of mine and will probably make a stop at York on the way back to celebrate the end of this part of this incredibly long and draining journey. Then William and I can finally get married
We have found a wedding venue run by a lady who went through the immigration process. She completely understood our situation and has booked us with the ability to move the date if we need to, due to our circumstances. We both feel so much happier now, but the month of June is out for us for a wedding so we are really pushing for the last weekend in May. I think it's doable. We just need to continue to be on our game with getting things submitted and being ready to line ourselves up with a better chance of an earlier interview.

The DS-3025 immunization form is sufficient for AOS if all the required shots (or waivers) are on it. Once you leave, and the results go to the embassy there is no re-do. Anything not signed off on would require a civil surgeon in the US to sign off. This is the form http://photos.state.gov/libraries/thailand/591452/iv/ds3025.pdf
All shots get a date.
The waiver column is the far right and will have letters indicating a waiver. Letter codes are at the bottom.
All the baby shots get A for not age appropriate. That is also a waiver.
MMR can get B for insufficient time interval to complete series.
Influenza gets an F for not flu season.
Varicella history has a box to tick.
Look at the sheet and make sure MMR has a B and flu has an F.
I think it was Pilot who got home and posted "my varicella isn't marked. She never asked me about chickenpox." I am saying if you want to be sure your form is correct for AOS, then know the form and say "I had chickenpox, but you haven't marked my form". Or "Not flu season needs an F please". They should do this but may get careless and leave something off.
Other waivers people could get are C for contraindicated meaning not medically appropriate like a pregnant woman getting a MMR or somebody who has a proven severe allergy to certain immunization components.
Concerning the MMR waiver. The nurse may write things like "due in 2 weeks". She shouldn't but she does. As long as the waiver says it was not appropriate on that day because of the time interval (B) then USCIS accepts it. same for flu shot. if it was not require on the day that form was signed, then it is good for AOS, no matter if AOS happens in flu season. If the form was accurate on the day of the medical, it is sufficient. That is in the USCIS handbook for adjudicators to follow when evaluating AOS. But every shot has to be on the form or waived. Going to NHS after the medical means it isn't on the official form so you have to go to a civil surgeon in the US to get a new official form with all things on it. New form on a new date could mean it is flu season again or 4 weeks have passed since the MMR. Then you would have to get appropriate for the new date because the other date no longer counts. You have to go by the civil surgeon date if you don't get it all covered at Knightsbridge.

I missed this post as well. Oops.
I thought the same thing but once I went through the entire DS160, it asks for the London number at the beginning and then there is another question further into the form where it asks for the case number. I discovered this by hovering over the question mark at the second one thinking, "I've already given this!"
National ID number does not apply. I first thought it was our National Insurance number, but it didn't make sense to put it in there. I finally found other posts where they are clear that you don't answer this question. Just check that it doesn't apply.
Yes, James is right. The National Insurance number is similar to a Social Security number. However, it seems they don't want to know about it. At least from what I can understand.

It's possible. I noticed that our case number showed as invalid before it changed last night. I thought it was just the site having a moment.
I am assuming that once the case is shipped from NVC all our updates will take place on CEAC during British Standard Time working hours (?)

Alright so I'm here! Waited just over 6 and a half months at TSC, no RFE, just for our approval on 03/19/15. Still waiting on NVC to receive my case though. And that sucks Wbeem but maybe it updates overnight or when they ship it. So maybe soon it will show up. And that was very funny about making up the number for medical haha I would've been so nervous having to do that Nich! Keep us posted.
But everyone is right about the numbers, it's so scattered, while anxiously awaiting our approval there was approval and RFE's happening all over. Some for july and August then some for September but meanwhile some people in July and August were still waiting to hear something. It's so frustrating.
And also anyone that's called the NVC lately had a guy name Arthur ? That man hates me I think...I cross my fingers every time I call I don't get him.
So frustrating but hope you get there soon!

CheekyMonkeys154 got a reaction from trublubu2 in We've given up. Visa never arrived.
I do have to agree with you on some points. There are so many people no here as much that I see but on FB groups and such that they get very frustrated only after a couple of months of waiting. As a K1 filer I am frustrated after over 6 months of waiting but I knew what we were in for and I also know that depending on the visa type and country there are people waiting much much longer. But so many honestly don't seem to know what they are in for or did any research prior to submitting the initial petition. I'm not saying that's this situation but just as a general observation.
