  1. Hello all, We started this journey May 2014 filing K-1 and it has ended today May 28, 2019 with oath ceremony at Atlanta Field Office. In and out about 2 hours. With help from VJ we had no RFE. We sent in small filing packages. One mistake that was made was when filing I-751 it was filled out early and printed. But during the next month before we mailed a new form revision was issued. Our was returned and we had to fill the new revision. Same exact looking form just the tiny new revision day. So, all this will end and now I will have to get a visa in my new passport so I can visit my Parents.  HAHA !! Thanks for all. Max  & Zhenai

  2. Hello, went to Atlanta field office today and passed English & Civics test. Sent upstairs and asked about the questions on the N-400 form--are a communist / are you a drunk/etc. The guy ate the second stage said he would take care of ROC!!!!!!/  Waiting for oath date. Thanks for all the help over the past 5 years.

  3. Hi, I had my biometrics yesterday and this was performed at a strip mall next door to a BIG LOTS in Atlanta. The staff were all contractors - very friendly and efficient. In and out in 10 minutes. Also today I received notification on my USCIS on line account that they have received my biometrics and estimated wait time is 17 months. I filed N400 08/01/2018.  I have not had ROC interview only extension of green card letters.  No questions. Just passing along information. Thanks, M

Yes, this is normal - I remember panicking when I tried to find my status online and nothing worked. They generate a CR-89 number when you get your biometrics. Apparently your application isn't considered "complete" until they have your biometrics info, so they need to create a new number for you once the application is "complete".

Thanks for the reply and information. So this is not AMASINGLY misinformation. Again, thank you. M

  5. Hello, I tried to access the USCIS site to check the status of our case and was not allowed in, only given an error message and 1-800-375-5283 phone number for the National Customer Service Center. I called and talked with one of the agents and was told that the receipt number on the I 797 will not work and that when you receive biometrics letter it will have a new receipt number that will work. The agent also said that if I don't receive a biometrics appointment letter within 30 days of the date  of the I 797 to call back and find out what is going on. Thanks and have a good day.  M

  6. Hello, We sent in the AOS forms and fees in March 2015 and received EAD card later received RFE for new medical and some proof of relationship. My wife redid the medical and got the sealed envelope from the CS and we mailed the info back to USCIS office. She received her green card about 6 weeks later. Some posts say you don't need a new medical -- fight the government if you wish!!!!

  7. HI, My fiancé enter US in Feb. 2015 and she had her medical exam Dec. 2014 and did not get the flu shot. We filed AOS in March 2015 and September received RFE from USCIS for a new medical. She had to take the flu shot. We sent in the new evidence in September and received 2 year green card approval Oct. 24, 2015. Fight the government if you want and see who wins!!!!

  8. Hi, try to have your fiance with you for the interview. We had our interview in Jan. 2015 and were approved. My fiance, now wife, is non cambodian. we had a five year relationship and had been in Cambodia for a year and a half. There was not much of an interview. It seemed as if they had decided before that we would get the k visa. Other k applicants did not get approved. Their was even one couple there that was not approved because his fiance did not get the police report!!! This guy came frpm the US to be there for the interview and his girlfriend did not do that simple step. We had to get a police report and we do not speak khilmer. Good luck. M

  9. Hello, we had to the PC last December and we are not Khmer speakers. The lady in the office where the computers are located helped us and we did not pay a bribe. Her desk is just to the left as you enter the office. It is not the room where you pay but the room just past the desk where you obtain your forms. She even supplied translated copies.. M

  10. Hi, go to the Bank with the chicken logo and pay the fee. I went to the branch in Sihanoukville and they wanted to charge me a fee for the service and I told them to Fxxx off and where is the manager this is a US government payment. All went well after that. Don't loose the receipt. That is what you will have to show first to continue with the interview. Good luck. M

  11. Hello, you should receive another letter from the US Embassy in PP soon and it will give you other instructions on what to do. Yes you can start filling out the DS-160 but wait till you receive the embassy letter before you print the confirmation page. She will also have to obtain a police certificate. She can go to the criminal records office and enter by the back entrance on the river side that says Appeals Court and pay $1.00 for the forms. One of the forms has to be stamped by her local "Sangkot" office before she goes back to apply for the PC. When she goes for that tell her to also ask for the English translation at the office. It is cheaper than pyramid translation services. Good luck. M

  12. Hello and help. The aos packet from K-1 was just returned and form I-797C states that the check amount is incorrect and that the eligibility code on form I-765 requires proof that an I-485 has been submitted. I used C 9 to answer question on form I-765. I also sent in form I-485 with the aos packet and they are asking for a copy of form I485 receipt notice ( I-797 ). What is the correct amount of money to be sent and where does one get I-485 receipt notice if your I-485 is sent in with the other AOS packet??
