You can go to your courthouse where you will have to get your marriage license and they should have a printout of the application process- documents needed and fees, etc. Also, get a list of the Justices of the Peace and call one. That is a wedding plan. After you get the visa you can marry where you wish.
-
Make sure all documents are signed and dated!!!!! Good luck.

Go to irs.gov and download the correct year tax forms-fill them out and make a couple of copies and mail the original signed form to the correct address. The short forms are pretty simple and you and friends should be able to complete the forms.

My American friend is trying to get his new born child a passport from US Embassy in Cambodia and they are making him, his girlfriend and baby take DNA tests. They had to pay $800 and wait for a DNA kit from the US to arrive and then will have to wait for the results. This has been over three weeks and the DNA test kit has not arrived as of today. Wish you luck.

Hi, I also was in the August 08-11,2014 mass transfer out of TSC. I recieved no email notice, but did recieve a hard copy of transfer to CSC with my Fiance recieving an A###### on the form.USCIS has a new boss man and he has the task of fixing this broken visa system. The service centers are doing whatever they can to move this backlog of visa petitions. USCIS is a new US government office created after the 9/11 bombings in the US. A new approach is needed to this visa approval process. One US government office should be responcible for approving petitions. The next step would be approval at the foriegn fiance's embassy with both parties at the interview. Approval and visa given before departure of Embassy grounds. This is my opinion.
So, someone is sending out text and email and posting update notices on the entire USCIS system to ensure they continue to recieve a paycheck from the UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF THE TREASURY.That is what is happening at USCIS. Wish you the best.

Hi, Thanks for the information. I will get the documents.

There is a US organization called the Lions Club that helps with eye sight issues. Use the internet!! Cuba is also an option. They have good health care. The cost my be less in Cuba. The father will need a visa for Cuba. Wish you the best.

Hello, We will be headed to Phnom Penh soon to obtain a police certificate. Can someone tell me what documents will be needed. Are fingerprints needed? Thanks for the help!! Also, how does one post directly on a country's Forum?
-
Hi, and welcome, I just read through the supplied embassy document. The certificate of marriage is needed only if a child was born out of wedlock. I would assume that there is no marriage document to supply to the embassy. Go to the Thai portal and relist your question. I think that a lot of people only read the first 5 topics and not some of the later entries. Good luck.

i been hearing a lot of great things about TSC. Seems like they have finally turned the corner. Now I bet people are finally happy with havin
I got a notice too. I know what I would have done if I was the head of this whole visa processing. I would walked into the TCS office and called all employees into a meeting and point put to these TSC workers and mangement the piles of unprocessed petitions stacked every where and leaning to the left, well you guys have one week to get them processed or don't be here next week. Good By and I will be back.

I have seen 7 or 8 transfers in the past 2 days now. I am requesting anyone that has been transferred to please post here with your NOA1 date and when you were notified and whatever you know. This is a way to track how many and where they are going. Looks like TSC is finally moving the load around to speed the process up. Great news for TSC potentially!!! Most I have seen are April and May filers so far. This may also explain why we are seeing more Feb and March approvals lately. They may be spreading the piles around to various desks after they send others to CSC or wherever they are going.
*** Please note...this is for legitimate transfers with notifications to the effect. Not for actual CSC filers that think they were transferred when actually just routed. You need to have received a notice that you were being moved to another center for processing. This will keep the numbers more accurate. Thanks
+++ Also please update us after you find out where you were sent please
Good luck to all.
Hello, Transfer notification date 8/08/2014 NOA1 - 5/15/2014 TSC

Thanks for the information... In the case that I had to apply for a K2, how long would it take to get the approval?
My friend's Fiance gave birth after K-1 petition was filed. At the US Embassy in Cambodia on July 30,2014 she was told to get $800.00 worth of DNA testing on the mother, father and child!!
-
By including the children on the I-129f, the USC is petitioning the children as well. They want to verify the children are related to the beneficiary.
The oldest child is listed on the I-129F- youngest was not among us at filing time of the 129. I will keep you posted on any new information he recieves from the Embassy.
-
Is his fiancé not bringing their children with her??
Yes she is. The older has a US passport and the youngest should have one by the time the visa is approved. That is before this request for DNA. The Father will be in Cambodia in a day or so. I do not know if he can get an appointment for a visit to the embassy while he is home in Phnom Penh. His Fiance has gotten pregnant and given birth since the I-129 was filed at TSC!! That shows TSC need for speed.
-
I read that qhen petitioning for children, it's not uncommon to request a DNA test to prove biological relation the the applicants
He is not petitioning for a visa for his children only K-1 for Fiance.
Thanks for the reply.

Hi, this is for my friend. I am still stuck in TSC.> Anyway, my friend is a naturalized US citizen from Cambodia. His family fled during Pol Pot's rule. He has 2 children with his Fiance. I know the oldest (2.5yoa) has a US passport. The youngest (6-8months) may not have had her birth recorded with the US Embassy in Phnom Penh since the US citizen is working in the middle east and may not have had the time while on his last holiday in Cambodia to record his daughter's birth. His Fiance just had her K-1 interview July 30,2014 and was told that they want about $800.00 worth of DNA testing. Are these Embassy people making up their own requirements or what? Should he just bite the bullet and get the testing? Anyone had to deal with this before? Thanks for any input.

Note though, if she is filipina and she initiates the divorce she cannot remarry under Philippine law.
Is this guy serving time in California or is he a Federal case. There could be a good chance that he doesn't have to serve the full 3 years. Parole, good behavior, ect

By the way, my fiancee has choice to wait 6 weeks and get 2 more shots in China or get them US.
And of course, I want her come ASAP.
But for cost comparisons, if she gets them in US, looks like it will be about $200 to $300+,
or if she gets them in China, it will be less than 50%.
You will be quite shocked at (how crazy) US healthcare cost is when you get here.
Check with your local health department. You may be able to get the vaccinations at a more affordable price.

Hello, There is a post today about contacting the Media and see if they may be able to bring attention to the slow performance of TSC. I posted a reply to the topic and add this post here if you do not read the Contact Media topic. There is a 23 day clearance at CSC from NOA1- NOA2 for K1-Great for them and hope the rest of thier journey is as swift.
You, family and friends can write your US Congressperson and complain about the slow performance of the TSC.
Just do not complain or ask for help about your own personal case. Bombard Congress with TSC complaints.
For example, Dear Honorable Take Mytaxmoney,
It has be brought to my attention that the USCIS service center located in Texas has backed logged
months of 129-F petitions for K-1 fiance visas. Why can the California service center process the
petitions in a much more timely manner?? ECT. Thank you for your help. I want my tax money to
be well spent and not wasted on US Government employees who cannot perform.
Thank You,
Tax Payer
Notify your district Rep. if you will. If you do not know the address or name it is available on the internet.
Hope you will help.

Hello, I am waiting at TSC also and I have sent mail to CNN. I did not get a responce back from them. I will try to contact Ms. Preston. Another thing you can do is for you and family and friends to get write your US Congressperson. Do not list an individual request for aid just let your US Rep. know that TSC is well mired in their mismanagenment and that something needs to be done pronto. There is a Cal. post today --only 23 days NOA1-NOA2.
Hello Everyone,
I'm a March 2014 TSC filer, and have been visiting this forum for some time now. I deeply sympthatize with everyone here who feels the pain of unfair delays at TSC vs. CSC, and those who who miss their loved ones, as I do miss my fiance very much, and would like to say that a powerful idea we can all participate in NOW (besides contacting congressman/senator after 5 months are up) is to intelligently and respectfully contact media outlets, in particular, I am thinking to reach out to specific reporters who specialize in immigration reporting, this is a hot time for this subject, and thus, more likely to catch their attention... especially when coming from more than one person.
I recommend we all start by contacting Julia Preston, of NY Times. She is the woman who brought attention to the immigration backlogs in Feb 2014, which seems to have gotten things moving. (http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/09/us/program-benefiting-some-immigrants-extends-visa-wait-for-others.html?hp&_r=1)
"Julia Preston was a member of The New York Times team that won the 1998 Pulitzer Prize for reporting on international affairs for its series that profiled the corrosive effects of drug corruption in Mexico. Ms. Preston became a national correspondent covering immigration for The Times in April 2006."
I have not emailed her yet, but am gathering some wisdom to write her soon. What do you guys think of this idea, to all write from our hearts and use facts to help bring this issue to Ms. Preston's attention? Open to hear your ideas and suggestions.
She can be contacted directly by click on "Send an E-Mail to Julia Preston" at the end of her profile on this page: http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/people/p/julia_preston/index.html?action=click&contentCollection=U.S.&module=Byline®ion=Header&pgtype=article

Hi, the information comes from USCIS. Their national benchmark is December and prior filers for approving petitions and sending out NOA2's.California is much further ahead in comparison to the benchmark with I129f approvals. TSC is behind due to shifting their priorities to approving I130's. Your NOA1 is May, you will have to wait at least 5 months. You can speak to a senator or congressman regarding your case if there is special and extreme circumstances.
Thanks for the reply and info. At least I am with my Fiance during the waiting period.
-
Hello, I have read on VJ several times about waiting months and months after filing the 129-f petition before asking for aid from your US Congressman. Where does this information come from and why wait for months to pass when California service center is clearing thier petiitions much faster than Texas?
Getting a Police Certificate Translated and Certified
in China
Posted
We are in Cambodia applying for K-1, Fiance is Chinese. She obtained her documents in ShenYang and also translations. She has all the originals. Your translator has kept the originals for some "unknown-possibly illegal use".
My Chinese Fiance obtained her documents April 2014 (Birth record-Police Certificate-Permission to marry). You have been screwed.!!!! If you are still in China go back to the translator and demand the original. If they do not comply get a Cop.China is busting many corrupt business owners.
