  1. Hi,

Today i checked: "ceac.state.gov" and our case status went to IN TRANSIT. Yay.

However in the bottom there is a message that says: "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center"

Is this true? I though in Ukraine we have to schedule our own interview.

Please share your experience with this if you can. Thank you!

  2. So I called NVC this morning right at opening time, about 6 minute wait. Our file is still not there she told me to wait 25 working days.

When i called it was 7 am on the West Coast so about 10 am at the NVC location and the lady on the phone said the same thing. Actually she said yeah i would not call before but you are free to call back if you wish. (yup).

I called back the next day at about noon on the West Coast so 3 PM on the East Coast and the guy said yes your case is here it arrived at 7 AM.

So take away what you wish from this. My suggestion is if you have time than call them.

  3. Hello, im currently working on my G325A. i want to know what to you on this question. "Applicant's last address outside the united states of more than 1 year?" i migrated in the USA last 2008 coming from the philippines. anybody can help me with this. and also what do i put for my fiance's form for the same question.

    Thanks.

On my application for myself i wrote the last address where i lived outside the US which was in 2005 and for my fiance i just wrote the same address as as in the beginning of the application, so her current address

  4. We need to get IRS tax transcripts as soon as possible.

The mailing option is too slow (we don't have 5-10 business days to wait), and the website doesn't work for us. When we try to create an account or just log in as a guest, it says that the information we type in is not right. Sometimes it works when we try it again but then it says that the user id we are about to choose doesn't meet the requirements (between 8 and 64 characters, at least one upper case and one special character, etc) when it really does!! So it seems like the site is not working right and from what I have read on here, a bunch of people have problems with the IRS website.

Our last hope is to go our local IRS office and have the transcripts printed out there, is it possible?

    Thanks for your answer!

I do not know what you are talking about mailing the IRS transcripts. You dont have to do this. I did download them many times as did my colleague when i was showing it to him in matter of 10 minutes. There was NO Mailing involved at all. You log in to: http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

Click on "Get transcripts Online" fill out your personal information and download them. That's it. Yes i did have problems with the site too one day and i called IRS, after 30 minutes on hold i told the operator what the problem was and logged in the next day and it was working. I did log in as a guest each time. So yes the website is sensitive but it works.

  5. So My NOA2 is dated 16OCT2014 but I have not received any information that it was sent from CSC to NVC yet.

Should I see something on my USCIS account regarding this? Or should I just call NVC as I see someone with a 17OCT2014 date is already at NVC? Thanks.

Nothing will be updated on your USCIS account. You have to call NVC and tell them your USCIS case number to find out if they have received it.

If you call them on Monday i think your case will already be there

  6. Shipped one week.after NOA2 and NVC received exactly 2 weeks after NOA2. NVC shipped my case to the Embassy 2 working days later.

Once the case leaves the service center, it moves very fast. The case arrived at the embassy 2 days after it left NVC and went to "Ready" status that same evening. Now that is efficient. If only the TSC could be 1/2 that efficient....

Oh that was fast. Thank you for the info, now i have an idea of how long it could take.

  7. My USC fiance and I are gathering documents I will need for my upcoming K1 interview.

But we have a serious problem.

He only has the most recent Form W2, he doesn't find the Form 1040 (tax return).

He doesn't find the W2 and 1040 for 2012 either.

We do have an employer letter, bank statement, and the last 12 paystubs (6 months) as a supporting evidence for The I-134 Form (Affindavit Of Support).

My fiance earns more than the 125% of the poverty guidelines, so he is my sponsor.

    What can we do now?

Will I get denied at the interview because I have only one W2 (the most recent one) to show and no 1040s?

No you will not be denied. Go to the IRS website and download whats called a "IRS Tax transcript" for as many years as you need. You do not have to wait for them just log in fill in a bunch of personal data and you can download them. There is even a section where it asks what you need them for and you can choose Immigration. In your case its your US fiance who would be doing this. If you search posts about Tax Transcripts most people are saying that if you have them the consulate does not even want to see W2 or 1040 just the transcripts, also many people have said that they only wanted to see the transcript for the past year but i sent two years to my fiance just to be safe. Even in the I-134 application it says Tax Transcripts preferred.

Minden rendben lesz! Gratulalok és sok szerencsét!

  8. Haha wow. I was typing up this post as i was on hold with NVC. They got our case today at 7 AM. So i answered my own question there.

Thank you for everyone's input though. I could not really find a post about this.

By the way when i called yesterday the operator told me to call back in about 2 weeks minimum so please do not always listen to what they say.

  9. Type USA or American under nationality. You won't have an alien number because you are already a citizen in the US. Alien numbers are for non-US citizens, for example, permanent resident (green card holders). So just leave the box blank when it asks you for an alien number because it does not apply to you. :)

Thant's not true at all. Some people did get RFE's because they did not put in their Alien #. It does not matter that you are naturalized, your alien # follows you your whole life and you most certainly still have an alien #. You can find your A # on the Naturalization certificate.

  10. There is nothing wrong with that number. I just called it last week and talked to an operator. That is just how NVC phone line works. You call and get a busy signal, hang up and press redial if busy signal again than hang up and press redial. Over and over and over until you hear the automated system talk and here you can press buttons to get the option you want. It took me about 15 or so redials to get thru one after another and abot 28 minutes on hold to talk to a real person. I wish you luck! Just keep redialing and you will get thru.

  11. Hi, quick question.

For the statement of Intent, I am using the sample letter provided. From what I understand, both my partner and I need to sign one. Is it fine to use the same format for each?

    [PETITIONER’S OR BENEFICIARY’S NAME]

    [PETITIONER’S OR BENEFICIARY’S ADDRESS]

United States Department of Homeland Security

    U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

    [ADDRESS OF FILING LOCATION]

    or when submitting for interview

    United States Department of State

United States Consulate, [name of country where Embassy is located]

    [Embassy Address]

What is "Address of Filing Location" --- does that mean if my fiance is in Costa Rica, the San Jose Embassy? Or does it mean the USCIS address in Dallas? Is it the same for both of us when we fill it out?

Thanks for the help. I'm sure this is all pretty simple but its very confusing for me just getting started and don't want to make a stupid error. Thanks!

Yes. We used the same format for each other. Got approved with no RFE. Just change the names around.

It is the USCIS address if you are sending in your petition. The embassy if your fiance is taking it to the interview. The same address where you send your petition. Yes, for both of you the same address.

  12. Yes, wait until it says ready at the Dept of State site. You can fill out the DS-160 and pay for the visa before that though (payment is valid for a year, not sure on DS-160 but should be a while too). Also get the police certificate ahead of time (also valid for a year). Do not schedule interview until it says ready though. There is no packet 3 in Ukraine. For the medical, you can do it the day before the interview if you want or do it early (valid for 6 months I believe, you will need the KEV number to do it though).

Thank you so much for the clear answer. I finally now understand the step by step process.

My fiance called today and they told her that the police certificate is done already. It took 12 days. We got our NOA2 a week ago so i will call NVC at the end of the week to see if we already have our KEV# so we can track it online. I think she would like to schedule the medical and the interview the same week if of course it works out that way. Its a long 800km commute to Kiev from her home town.

    Thanks again!!!

  13. You can't even take medical exam until case is in Kyiv, and you have case number which will start with KEVxxxxxx. The notification is a piece of paper that needs to taken to the clinic at the time of exam

DS-160 can be completed anytime after your receive NOA2 as the receipt number on this form will be needed for the DS-160.

After medical, and DS-160 done...then schedule interview.

Doesn't NVC give you the KEV number? Even before they send it out to the embassy.
