Roonie why can't you and your wife see each other? My husband is Belgian and he is here in the States with me for 3 months. They didn't give him a hard time when he entered the country in Philadelphia because he had proof that we filed the I-130. In my opinion it just provides extra proof that the marriage is bona fide. We now have plane tickets and pictures that he can take to his appointment as proof. Why would you possibly be denied entry? Have you visited each other too often?

Put each person's case in a separate envelope, and then put both cases into one envelope and mail the big envelope to the NVC.

Married4Life13 reacted to TYorke1 in Filed single on tax return
I think it is important to note, that while this subject has been debated to death on here, there has not been a single instance where a visa was denied on the basis of filing single instead of married. It has only ever been mentioned as speculation when a decision does not go the applicants way. I have never seen an instance where a CO has said "right, I am denying this visa because it says single on your spouses tax return", I have also never seen this reason stated in a NOIR (notice of intention to revoke) from USCIS. The only time I have seen it mentioned by a CO was in China and the CO asked for a written statement from the petitioner explaining it was a mistake. On top of all this, I have seen many dozens of applicants go to an interview in various countries with this mistake and get approved just fine.
Whilst I agree with the others in so much that you must file as married, and you definitley need to correct it using a 1040x, I can say with some confidence that this should be done to satisfy the IRS not immigration as immigration understand that this is a common mistake and will NOT deny outright because of this, but the IRS can and will take it much more seriously.
Thanks

Married4Life13 got a reaction from Ketsuban in Filing I-130 January, 2014
I was planning on sending the 20 pages of Facebook convo to prove how long we have been chatting. I also have voice chat logs that begin about 6 months ago. I don't want to go overboard with this but I do want to show that we are legit. It's hard to break down the last year of communication into just a few pages. I will work on that....

Married4Life13 got a reaction from Ketsuban in Filing I-130 January, 2014
Hey everyone ! I am sending off my packet either Saturday or Monday. I sent the G-325 to my husband to sign and I'm just waiting for it to return to me. This process is tedious! I have had to go through 1400 pages of Facebook conversation and I have it down to 150. I still want to take that down to 20 or so. I'm mostly including a few sentences per week and the comments about making future plans together. I have daily voice chat logs from about August as well. We started chatting in January but I can't get the logs from that long ago. Have you all included these in your packets as well? Any advice?
I don't want to include too much info...1400 pages of messages is a bit extreme.
Good luck to you all!

Married4Life13 reacted to pushbrk in I received a checklist ,OMG HELP ME PLEASE
This is NOT a USCIS issue.
When using the VJ NVC shortcuts, receiving requests from NVC a couple weeks after sending documents is usually a sign the shortcuts are working. Some would call this a "false" checklist. If you sent what you were supposed to send without it being directly requested, take the checklist as a good sign and do nothing.

Married4Life13 reacted to jfgk1987 in Can we fix Igor's list????
Pleaseeeee fix this!
I had a thought, instead of asking which service center your application went to, they should ask what the prefix of their case number is:
SRC would default to Texas
WAC would default to California
EAC would default to Vermont
etc.
That way there would be no confusion! The options to select the lockbox the application was sent to and if it was transferred could still be there, since transfers can happen after NOA1, but I think this could clear up. Thoughts?

Married4Life13 reacted to Angel012110 in I've been in the US for 8 weeks and my US partner wants to move back to UK
Well In the End it is YOU as a Couple's Decision But all the effort and waiting it took to bring you on a K-1 visa would be thrown away if you move back to UK. I Suggest Applying for the GC and once approved which takes about 6-9 months take short trips to UK so you don't feel so homesick and Your spouse can revisit even if briefly what she likes so much about the uk. After you get your GC and taking short trips you can apply for citizenship through marriage( the process is currently like 6 months) in only 3 years time and after that you guys can LIVE in the UK BUT you can come and go from the US as you please. She will probably want to come back to the states after awhile and regret that you will have to be separated as the K-1 process would have to be redone. think about the FUTURE not about right now. Wish You guys the best!

I don't think any January 2014 filers have seen a NOA2 yet. From the forums, it looks like those who filed in October/November 2013 are getting NOA2s and moving along to the NVC stage right now.

Married4Life13 reacted to belinda63 in VISA ON HAND BUT?????
1. She has a visa to come to the US for the purpose of being with her spouse. That is no longer her intention thus the visa is not being used for the purpose it was issued. Same if you come on a tourist visa and conduct business, that is not what the visa is for.
2. No one should ever lie to immigration. That could result in an immediate life-time ban from coming to the US. Even if she made it into the US she could be later found out and deported.
3. She doesn't have to sign anything for the divorce to be processed.
4. He could very well have already informed immigration that they are no longer together and she could be turned around at the airport since her visa is no longer valid (no spouse, no valid spousal visa).
5. Her visa is not for the purpose of her coming to the US to divorce. That can be done without her or with her in her country.

Married4Life13 reacted to Abby&Mario in Should I be a Flight Attendant or Should I go to College?
Most college degrees don't mean what they used to in the U.S., and by that I mean no one is guaranteed a job just because they finished undergrad. If the situation were different, I'd say be a flight attendant. But this isn't just any degree-- it's your dream, and they're already offering you financial aid. Sounds like the chance of a lifetime, but play it smart. The cost of living where you'd be will be sky high. Plenty of people go into debt just trying to live in New York City without having tuition to pay on top of it. Be responsible, don't get into crazy partying, and work hard. Being a flight attendant can be your backup plan for after you graduate if you find yourself in a rough patch.
I think you already know what you want to do. I will tell you, I knew what I wanted to study when I was 18 and it was time to go to college, but I chose something "practical" instead. I graduated in 2009 and that practical degree wasn't so practical after the recession. Fast forward almost a decade and I'm finally studying what I've always wanted to. I wouldn't change my life for anything, but it does make you think. Live your dream, I say!

Married4Life13 reacted to Peikko in Putin seeks Ukraine troop deployment
American foreign policy is not dependent one one man. Are you saying that you believe that had Mitt Romney been president at this time the US would just ignore external politics and engage in isolationist policies? Or are you saying that the US should have engagedin protracted military intervention in Syria and first strike against the Russians now? I am a bit perplexed as to why you believe it's Obama and everyone else but not you that is laughable. Are you not a US citizen? Do you only recognize someone as president if you voted for them?

Married4Life13 reacted to Brian1967## in Scam victims get what they deserve
Well it would be harsh if you actually were making any kind of a smart statement, basically what I am saying is you sound harsh judgmental and you have no idea of what the facts are. Idiot the divorce rate runs around 80% for immigrant marriages (I will not disclose source) hey dude I know a doctor that was scammed, a lawyer and several poilice men and more than one woman. ####### if we were so poor the visa process is not cheap, and what is success to you may not be success to them. You have no concept of what you are saying you are a ego maniac and just not very smart making totally unintelligent statement like you just made. The 20 year age difference in my thoughts is a major red flag. But, most of those men have money and there lives are okay. where you live , I am a restaurant manager I am 47 and I make $48,000 a year I guess we should consider your great slary the bar for getting married huh? I hope you are kicked off this website for making such stupid uneducated posts. Dorat, Murdouch,
