  1. Hi All,

my I-130 was approved on January 10th, 2014 and i received instruction that if i do not hear anything in 30 days i should contact NVC to get an update, I called today and it i spoke to the meanest representative i ever talked to : i start conversation by stating his name and asked me to provide case number or Receipt number, so i said i have receipt number, i gave him the receipt number, and i thought he said can you repeat the number so start by saying MSC... and he just yelled at me, and SAID I SAID HOLD SIR PLEASE, and i responded with a deep silent letting his finish and he was repeating the receipt the number with a tone, and after he was done i said that's the correct number, and he asked me what is approved date, and i was trying to tell him the receipt number, then yelled me again, SIR HOLD ON PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE THE APPROVED NOTICE THE DATE IS IN THE RIGHT TOP CORNERmad.gif , i told him the date calmly, then he said SIR ITS TOO EARLY TO CONTACT US YOU SHOULD WAIT 8 WEEKS, IT ONLY BEEN 4 WEEKS, i told him i understand but the notice state (he interpreted me) .. SIR SIR SIR YOU HAVE TO WAIT i wanted to just tell him that i am just stating what's in the notice, THEN HE SAID I AM HERE JUST TO HELP , and he hang up on. how rude of him. I am not generation that all representatives are rude; i spoke to woman one and from her voice, she sounded a little old, and she was the best ever, tried to explain to me the process and why they don't receive the packages on time, but this guy, he was just rude, so i want to place a complaint against, because the in VRU it stating that we give clear attention to customer to better server you, i wasn't served i was yelled at.

Anyone has any ideas how to file a complaint?

    Thanks

Did he have a strong New York or New Jersey accent? I think I know the guy your taking about.

  2. How do you contact the Uscis HEAD OFFICE? I have been waiting for k1 noa2. I filed in July 2013 and then transferred to Texas in August 2013 and then transferred to a local new York office which I have no idea why? This is the most frustrating thing I have ever been through. If someone has a way to contact Uscis head office I would appreciate it. I am also so tired of waiting. No rfes either. Also do you think a previous marriage ending in divorce (which divorce copy was submitted with 129F) would hold up things a bit as far as more investigation. We have been together for almost 6 years and we are So upset. Don't know what to do but wait and wait and getting more nervous.

    email at SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov.

  3. Anything you want back. They look at the original, then file your photocopy and give you the original back. They do not need multiple copies of anything so it's just so you can go home with your birth certificate, etc.

Things we wanted back--birth certificate, divorce decree, employer letter (not employed but a letter stating some regular income), police certificate (not sure if they will give that back but they gave ours back), investment account statement (which they handed back saying they didn't need to see that).

Things we didn't want back because we could print another off the computer--I-134, tax return (Turbo-Tax).

The reason for wanting the financial originals is because I wanted to re-used them for AOS. We mailed photocopies and held the originals for the interview. As it turned out, we didn't have to interview.

Thanks :) 1 more question that's playing on my mind now as I'm reading the embassy interview reviews on here. My fiancée (the us citizen) is divorced so do I need to have a copy of her divorce degree? I know I properly won't as she sent a copy in with the original file but just want to make sure.

  4. So far I'm thinking of collecting it from the depot as there is one in my town, I don't know if it's faster or slower, it's probably about the same I reckon :P

Though, if I collect it from the depot, I don't have any photo IDs other than my passport (can't drive so no drivers license etc), which obviously I won't have xD Though it said I can take my birth certificate? So if I showed up at the depot with just my birth certificate they'd give me my passport back? ^^

What do they class as a depot?

  5. Have you read the guide for London http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/

Post 2 gives a suggestion of how to know when you should send things. Or nobody is stopping you from changing the Plan of what the embassy wants you to do. It's up to you really whether you follow their rules or not.

Ok I will wait. Was just an idea.
  6. thank you, I checked and it says "An unexpected error has occurred while processing your previous request. The error has been reported to the site administrator; no further action is required." crying.gif

Mine said that when it was first updated on there and was told it was cause system was being updated. Try again in an hour or so or call the NVC and speak to a rep and they should know if it's at embassy yet.

  7. We just received our service request answer yesterday.... It is not what we were looking for! After almost 6 months of waiting for the NOA2!

DID ANYONE EVER GET THIS SERVICE REQUEST?????

    WHAT CAN WE DO NOW???

    Here the response from them:

The status of this service request is:

On 01/23/2014, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I129F to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Your petition/application is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your petition/application.

    What You Can Do

Please see the "Online Services" below to check the status of your case in the near future. We apologize for the delay.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

Hey I tried to respond you your message but it won't let me private message you back. Maybe you have the option switched off. There isn't much you can do other than have a senators office call the USCIS and put in a inquiry. You can call and ask to speak to a supervisor but they will most properly tell u too wait more and a service request I found to be a waste of time as they just tell you what you already know. I know how frustrating the wait is and it lead to me and my fiancée arguing and everything. We was told we was delayed because of my B2 denial and the fact that my fiancée is divorced but if that's true or not I don't know as congress person we 1st had 'helping' was useless and really could not be bothered to help us very much hence why the senators office we got to help was much better and quicker. Have u tried emailing USCIS head office yet? After I emailed head office with what was going on we was approved a few days later. Maybe just a coincidence but I still feel that it helped.

  8. We were there for nearly 8 weeks, but that was back when they first started this with K1's. You really ought to be underway again soon. I know it really stinks, we were apart for 18 months waiting, so that delay really was maddening.

We didn't have trouble being put through to tier 2, my now husband just kept repeating..."if you are unable to answer my question, I am requesting you escalate this call to a supervisor" Not that they were able to tell us anything either. No explanation, no time frame, just more waiting. I was told at interview it was random, and the FOIA request we filed showed that as well, which actually made me angrier. Random. Everything on hold on account of a whim.

I hope they shake you loose soonest.

Case finally left the NVC today and is in transit :) :) :)

  9. This is really NOT FUN anymore!!!! TSC is after our NOA1 date, last time we called they worked on august 16, 2013 petitions and that's a week ago! We have NOA1 date of august 12,2013!

On February 12th, 2014 we are already waiting 6 months just for our NOA2 in our K1 process and it is getting really ridiculous in my eyes now! People already get approved from november and december 2013 and I know two other couples that are still waiting that, filled in AUGUST 2013 too!!

We already asked for a service request and never got a response, same for ombudsman! I wrote the congressman and senator.... I'm just asking whatelse are we having for choices if the senator can't help us?

USCIS is giving you on the phone not much information at all...... We are getting out of ideas and would like to get to know more what we can do if all this isn't working....

    Thank you.

Or you can email the head office of the USCIS on.......:SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov

Sorry to hear your are going though hell like we did. We was made to wait 8 months for our NOA2 and now have been waiting at NVC for almost a month so they ain't much better. I would suggest getting a senators office involved as it's gone over the 5 month time frame. They will call and get more information about and find out what the hold up is etc faster than you can with service requests.

  11. It is taking about 3 weeks or so these days. As you've been there 2 weeks already, it should not be too much longer. It's better now than it was a few years ago.

Nvc in AP how long is this going to take? Everything I've read said it doesn't stay st the NVC long, our's been there since January 17, 2014.. WTH??

We have now entered our 4th week of waiting. Given up on calling now as just get told different things and they refuse to let me talk to a supervisor. I have seen my fiancée for a total of 4 weeks in 11 months and counting :(

  12. I wondered if that wasn't the case...it was actually already at embassy. Was this your first call to DOS? Just carry on with the instructions since they say it is there. You've waited a long time.

Thanks for your reply Nich-nick. Found out it was still at NVC which was a bit of a downer but we are used to that now. Just spoke to a guy today at the NVC and he said its no longer in AP they are just waiting to ship it out now. He also said cases normally take between 10 to 20 working days now to ship out.
