  1. Has anyone got their interview dates yet?

    I 129F file Dec.4,2013

    Approved January 8,2014

    NVC received petition January 27,2014

    Case Created Jan. 17,2014

    Feb 3,2014 Case Ready

Feb 13,2014 @10:10 am Medical Exam

Will be calling the NVC at 5-30pm today, as that's the time the embassy closes here, and asking if interview date has been set yet. I'm not expecting it too be but u never know haha.

  2. I see all these estimates of NVC time being 2 months. I *ASSUME* that's for the I-130 filings. Is that correct?

I read SOMEWHERE that when it comes to K1 visas, all the NVC does is assign them a number, and toss them in a DHL envelope for your target embassy. Is that also correct?

    Thanks for any info!

Mine was stuck there for almost 4 weeks whilst others seem to be there a few days. It's all just pot luck who's stays longer and who's doesn't I think as they don't do anything with K1s other than package them and send them on.

  3. good luck everyone waiting for a date!!

Quick question - are you guys having problems with ceac? i tried checking my status but it said there is a problem with the site....just wondering if i am the only one or not!

Mine has been the same since yesterday. Think the site is down for maintenance or something as a few people on here have mentioned it. I called the NVC last night and my case is fine it's just awaiting a date now.

  4. I am waiting for my interview date too! Status ready on 3rd Feb and it was updated 12/2 but no news of schedule yet... Submitted NOR last Tuesday 11/2 and had my medical yesterday 13/2. Goodluck to us!!!

Good luck CharityRob your almost there. Your medical results should be at embassy by Wednesday then it's on to the waiting game again. Fingers crossed it's not a long one. By what I have seen with people's timelines interview dates are normally given after about a week and a half of receiving everything.

  5. I have seen my fiancée a total of 4 weeks in alittle under 12 months. This process is extremely testing on a relationship and we have had our moments where we have come very very close it giving up on it all but in the end it will all be worth it. I can't imagine what it would be like with out my ipad skype and my phone apps Voxer and Viber!

Also some cases that are quick such as 10 days from NOA1 to NOA2 is because they are current or EX military as they get an automatic expedite in there cases.

  6. That's ridiculous. I'm pretty sure that's exactly why the NVC are dealing with us now instead of the DOS. It's like none of the departments want to deal with us. All we want to know is a simple "no" or a "yes and (date)!"

I wouldn't be as persistent about this if I hadn't read all the horror stories about London not being very thorough with mailing the interview dates out...

Have you tried calling the embassy and asking to be put through to the IV unit?

They received my case on the 7th and my case has been touched on the 10th, 11th and 12th so far so they must be doing something with it haha

  7. I think I have ALL Reason to scream and complain! more as people that wait here one or two months and whine because of this!!

    You had an I-130?????

You do have the right to complain and u do have the right to be angry. I know what ya going through and it's awful and I don't wish it on anyone. The worst thing about it is there is not a lot u can do about it and that's what depressed me the most. Have u tried a infopass? It's a face to face meeting with an USCIS office but your finance will have to do it as they only do them in the US?

  8. It would just be nice if someone could tell me "yes it's been scheduled" or "no it has not" instead of "our system is down and we have nothing to tell you."

Tonight when I called the NVC, after their blanket statement of their system being down, they directed me to call the UK embassy. Great, so I tried calling that number and went through a series of automated answers before they finally disconnected me.

Does anyone have a better solution to finding out an interview date? =/

I called the NVC earlier and was told by rep on the phone said "we don't issue interview dates the consulate does that and we dont know when dates are set. so you need to call them."

It's annoying as lots of other people on here say they called the NVC and they was told if there date has been set yet or not yet that's twice I have been told the opposite :(

  9. Our case was held up for 8 months for a few reasons I will list now.....

First was held up 6 weeks because they never actually sent the RFE they issued when they should of done and only sent it after we had a INFOPASS.

the next 3 months we was held up because I had a B2 denial and they had to wait for the US embassy in London to send it to the DOS and the DOS to send it to them so they could check why I was denied.

There was also another slight hold up cause they was checking my fiancées divorce degree.

This is what I was told by the congresswomens office that was helping at that stage.

  10. I am a bit confused about the process. I've completed Ds-160, booked medical for March, notified them of readiness yesterday (which I can't find anywhere else online apart from on Vj K1 London guide, where do they ask us to do this?).

Partner has completed affidavit of support with supporting docs, and although we don't have a tax transcript we have record of him filing (he didn't file when living abroad, so filed several years worth in Nov 13). I know that we pay fee when we get an interview date.

Am I right in saying that I take affidavit, tax stuff etc to interview and that's it? I don't need to complete any other forms?

Do I need to send anything physically to anywhere?

I've read through the London K1 guide but have a nagging feeling something is missing.

Nope all sounds good to me as that's what I have done as well. Have you got 2 US passport sized photos yet? And copy's of birth cert and police cert?

  11. That is a bit odd, my letter talks about K1 completing DS-160 and I received it last week. Seems like someone is working through a stack of old paperwork?

My letter is dated at the bottom October 2013.

The white paper says to go online etc and do what I have already done (DS-160) but the green checklist says to do the DS-230 and post the readiness form. Think they have not updated there checklist form yet or they have just sent me the old one. The white paper is dated 10 feb 2014 so will take what that says as gospel. As if this process wasn't confusing enough they then send the updated info along with the old info haha

  12. We're waiting for our interview date as well. Our NOA2 expires next week so I've already printed an updated copy of my letter of intent and plan to get it notarized with my signature tomorrow and sent out priority as well since this is the requirement if your application expires.

I've been calling the NVC every morning and evening to see if I can get the interview date but so far no dice. They keep repeating that their system is very slow and they tell me to either call back later or contact the embassy. I've sent in an email to the NVC as well as sending an inquiry to the embassy via their online contact form. We are getting very anxious to hear something as we enter the home stretch!

wow three of us!! hang in there guys :).....almost there....i think i checked the ceac page like three times today.....

I have a funny feeling, by looking at the previous thread about people's interviews, that all 3 of us are all going to get the same interview date.

  13. Hello,

I sent an e-mail to the NVC yesterday to make sure that they received my NOA2 notification and my petition and was checking if they already sent everything to the embassy.

I assume they are busy, but I am just excited, therefore, impatient.

When you e-mailed them, approximently how long ebfore you received a response?

    Thank you,

Think it was about 10 days
