My ceremony was scheduled for 8.30 am. We arrived at McClellan at 8.10 am, there was a huge line outside (maybe half a mile long) waiting to go inside. We had to wait quite a bit. The ceremony itself didn't start until 10.20 ish. We were done at 11 am.
oh thats good to know. my ceremony is scheduled at the same location at the same time as yours. so i'll keep your timeline in mind while going there. Did you apply for passport on the spot?

and the good news is that my I-751 was approved right after my N-400 interview and yesterday my N-400 status got updated to "Placed in Line for Oath ceremony".

I had my N-400 interview yesterday at Sacramento office. It was not a good experience overall, mainly because the IO was very unfriendly, rude and arrogant. here's how it went:
IO: Good morning (thick accent)
Me: Good morning
IO: Turn off your phone (very rudely)
Me: Yes
IO took my oath and then started questions:
IO: Give me your green card.
Me: My conditional green card was taken away by this office at the time when they were stamping I551 stamp on my passport and I have not received the new one yet, i had applied for removal of conditions in April 2017.
IO: Then why did you apply for N-400 if your one case is still pending (very rudely)
Me: I went with the USCIS website instruction and applied on the 3yrs rule basis.
IO: I know that rule but why did you apply for another case when your one case is still pending (arrogantly)
Me: I didn't come across any information on USCIS website where it would tell me that you cannot apply for N-400 if your I-751 is pending (very respectfully)
IO: But you know that your one case is pending and still you applied for another one (very very rudely) and i cannot approve your this case when your I-751 is still pending (very rudely)
Me: I respect your processes and procedures.
IO: flipping pages of my file and i noticed that he had my both files in front of him I-751 and N-400. Show me a proof that you and your spouse live together. (Angry tone)
Me: I didn't bring any proof for that because i wan't mentally ready for I-751 interview however, my wife and son are here with me and i have my car's registration that shows both our names and address.
IO: You brought your wife that means you were ready for it (very rudely)
Me: Silent
IO: Show me your joint bak account statements (Angry tone)
Me: As i said i didn't bring any such documentation since it was not requested for in the N-400 interview letter.
IO: No no it is there on the interview letter, took away my interview letter and starting reading it but couldn't find anything in it that shows that he is right so silently pushed it away.
Long story short he asked me some other general questions about our relationship and then took the test and i passed that test. He very angrily told me that you have requested for a name change but we don't do that in this office so i cannot do it. you have to do it through a court process. He made that change to my application and asked me to sign for it. He then asked my wife and son to come in, he literally didn't ask her any question except her name and our address and thats it.
He told me that he cannot make a decision on the N-400 case until I-751 is completed. later when i was driving back to home i got text msg about my case and that was for my I-751 showing that the new card was in process. He did tell me that you may receive the 10yrs green card but it is USCIS property and you have to bring it and surrender it at the time of Oath ceremony.
Overall the IO officer was very rude and unprofessional. I hope my N-400 gets approve faster and i get done with all this.
Does anyone else in Sacramento office had the same experience with them not being able to do the name change?

Congratsss... I also had my interview yesterday and it wasn't a good experience. On my way back from interview i got text msg that status was updated. it was for my pending I-751, they approved that and card is now being processed. so i am guessing my 10yrs green card will arrive soon.

My interview was also rescheduled from December to January. I'm assuming they just have a lot of cases. My officer said they are all backlogged. No updates on my case since then other than the I-751 transfer notice.
Mine was transferred after the interview. Again, maybe they are just trying to clear up their load?
It's so hard to understand what's going on lol
Looking at the CSC timelines it does seem that they are pretty busy and may be thats why they have started transferring some of their load to NBC.

I got my interview letter today from the documents tabs and it is scheduled for Jan 11, i will be out of country that day and may not be able to keep this appointment. Anyone has experienced rescheduling their interview? how much is normally the wait time between the originally scheduled interview date and the rescheduled interview date?

We left and make a couple stops before we heading home on my way home around 5 I got a message that my N400 was in line for oath ceremony and my new card is in production. I woke up this morning and I got my oat ceremony was scheduled and notice was mail my I 175 updated to approve so now I'm waiting on my oath ceremony letter I want to thank everyone who have answered my question everyone who share their experience I am truly grateful that I'm almost over with all this and I know everyone has thats waiting your time is coming and by the way my IO was really nice.
Congrats guys, i guess i am the only Sacramento fellow that hasn't seen any movement in the case.

Seems like Sacramento office is back to work... when did they give you your interview date?

hello... my field office is also Sacramento and i am still waiting....... my ROC is still pending and N400 shows completion around May 2019.

They sent me another Receipt Letter mentioning that in addition to the previous letter you have received that extended your PR to tenure of one year after expiration of your GC, this letter extends it further out 6 months. So it will serves as a letter that authorizes your stay for 18 months from the date of expiry mentioned on your GC.
I'm sad. I don't know if anyone else received a second letter of receipt on their ROC or am I a special case?
I think i am getting the same letter in main today. it has 2 pages.

I called the 1-800 number and asked them the status of my case since i can't see it on the case status page on USCIS.gov. they transferred me to Level 2 agents because level 1 agents also couldn't see the case status. Level 2 agent told me that i am in line for interview, i don't expect the interview to come sometime soon because my I-751 is still pending and my uscis office has 18-21 months of lead time for this.

There has been no movement on my I-751 and N-400 cases for long time now.
i have international travels coming up next month and hope that the dates don't coincide with each other.

I became citizen today
3/21/2019 and my immigration journey is over 
Lengthy processes, tough interviews but happy ending, i wish everyone best of luck. The real difference will be felt at airports while traveling international and jobs outside the US.
