  1. July 1st is almost here!! We sent our application on January 31st, but our NOA1 date is February 4th - July 4th will mark our 5 months!

My fiancé has just drafted a letter to his Senator in Connecticut (Richard Blumenthal), he is a member of the subcommittee for immigration, refugees and border security. We brought up the issue of the discrepancy between TSC and CSC with some of the data on the USCIS website - so fingers crossed for something!

We're going to fax the letter over sometime this week (figured a lot of people won't be in the office as it's a national holiday on Friday, so they'll probably process it next week) and according to his website, we should have a response within 30 days.

I really hope everyone hears something this month!! :-)

. You and I have the same timeline. My fiancee would contact his congressman in 10 days probably. I hope we all hear sth soon. It seems to me that they are done with most of Dec filers. They are now processing January.
  2. change calling habit?

call in - then punch no further buttons on the phone after the first ring.

IN under 5 minutes, a spanish speaker will come on the line.

let them unwind, then say 'English please' then when they unwind again, the petitioner can ask a question. However, the CSR that answers the phone can only see what you can see online.

. This was so helpful. I will tell him that. Thanks a lot
  3. Jon York... I talked to my fiance about it but he's too negative..thinking that if we get too many people involved we can affect our case or something like that. I believe that he didn't send the 2nd senator the consent for after we received a response from 1st senator stating that our case has been pulled out for review and that we would here a response within the next few days ;S ( still waiting). He is a conformist. So if I ask him to get the congressman involved he would flip out. He said he would call USCIS himself on Monday and if that doesn't work I'm going to blow up on him!lol!

. He sounds just like my fiancee?
  4. I called USCIS again today to try and file another expedite. For anyone who didn't read my other post, I filed a request for expedite two weeks ago and it was denied because it "didn't fit the guidelines". What really happened is that the CSR didn't enter any of my information into the system. Literally.

I've called them 4 times since then and every time I talk to someone they take me through the whole process again only to say, "Sorry but you're going to have to call back on (insert date)."

Finally I called again today and got a really nice lady. I explained the situation and that my expedite was denied because of the CSR's error. She looked up the record and goes, "Oh wow... No wonder it was denied. He literally didn't write anything in the request."

Long story short, she submitted my expedite request so hopefully that will go through and we can continue on with the process. She said that more than likely our expedite will be granted given the situation but she couldn't make any promises. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I would really like something good to come from this... Cross your fingers!

Oh yeah... I forgot that I also e-mailed my Congressman again yesterday. They had called on my petition a month ago but didn't have anything impressive to say other than, "Your application is pending." I e-mailed them and told them how other people who have filed at the same time are already going through the interview process while applicants at the TSC haven't even moved past NOA1. We'll see what happens...

. Why did you fill in an expedite? Sorry couldnt find your post
