Relax. Dont panic. After the approval, wait like 10 days, and then call NVC to get your case number. By having your case number, you can follow that it reaches to Ankara. Then, there will be the next steps.

I read a lot of cases in which language barrier is a big factor in COs decision.

well guys, i got a letter from my congressman's office today. uscis states that my case was flagged and needs additional background checks. they also said they have no idea when the background checks will be completed. they stated in the letter that this is a matter of national security...

this is hilarious and complete bs. i'm 24 years old with NO record. i've never been married and have no children. i'm a college graduate and am employed full-time. this is just ridiculous. becca and i have decided to explore our options of me going up to canada. she has a lot of opportunities up there and i can work from anywhere. this has been a huge waste of time.

That is weird because in order for a petition to be approved, USCIS needs the signatures of the beneficiary ob the forms as well. How did he get your signatures on the forms?

I dont have all the docs because my fiance is in the navy and currently deployed... I just need to get in touch with nvc so I can get my case number then afterwards call the consulate about my particular situation. Im gathering proof of our relationship... so to be honest im not that in a rush. Only thing that worries me is the expiration on the noa2.

. Im worried about the expiration of my NoA2 as well. I just renewed my passport Im waiting to get it. I dont think I can schedule an interview with ab expired passport. I know its my fault. I should have renewed it earlier. Hopefully I shod be able to schedule in a week.

Get your citizenship and then move. You might lose your LPR status if you stay out of US more than 6 months.

It had all the information about making the appointment and also about the medical and documents that need to be prepared.Is it possible you missed the email? Thinks its best you contact the embassy find out whats going on.That notification is important.Dunno if everyone is emailed or if a paper notification is sent..

hi thanks. Finally got the email. When you called them to schedule an appointment, did they give you a near date or a late date? I hope I can get an appointment in the next 40 days or so.

We filed January 31st, have the interview on March 26th, got 221g'd for something that took a LONG TIME to acquire, but it all worked out. She's catching a flight soon.

Something makes me think, that, if they don't let you know the reason, they suspect fraud. And probably will never let you know that, to prevent the applicants, they suspect to be fraudsters, from getting read of the reason of their suspect.

TSC isn't really consistent with sending petitions to the NVC (are they consistent with anything? ), everyone that got approved around the time that I was approved had their stuff shipped about 3 days after NOA2, mine was finally shipped 20 days after NOA2. It only took 3 business days for it to arrive at NVC. If you guys want to call NVC I suggest calling between 8pm-11pm EST, there's generally less competition at that time.

If he goes there and get married, he can't come back later with the K1 because they will already be married and I think he would be denied entry at the POE.

There is nothing you can't really do except hoping you will get your visa before the wedding date.

I need help, I am so happy that finally we got our NOA2 but then I realize a big potential problem. We have already planned our wedding on 10/3 this year and my fiance just got the NOA2 last monday (7/28), it seems like most likely the interview will be scheduled around mid-Sep, after they approve it, they will take his passport for visa printing, and it might take up to 2 weeks or more for him to receive the passport which means he might not have his passport with him in Oct.

But he NEEDS the passport to travel to the US before Oct, the wedding has been planned more than half year ago and most money has been paid, his friends and fmailys have also bought the tickets and booked hotel, we cannot pospone the wedding. I am really worried now, any idea how we should manage this situation?

If your fiancee is from UK, can he enter with visa waiver, get the wedding done, go back to UK and pick up the passport with the visa in it when it gets issued? Then, he can enter US with the K1 and activate it... Just an idea...
