  1. I can totally empathize with the feeling you have, plus I had the head scratcher of wondering how it could happen when I paid a lawyer a metric ####### ton of money to avoid this very thing. We received our RFE on May 7 and today they sent me an email that they received the response on May 19. I figure that at best it's a wasted 2 weeks of our lives, but then again they could make us sit around for who knows how long while the response collects dust. I really am sorry you got this news rather than what we all want here. I wouldn't wish this torture on anyone (except our elected officials).

I would probably beat up my lawyer for that !

but I don't have one so if we get a rfe I am gonna be mad at myself.

anyways I hope that now everything is going to be fine :)

I am following Nov thread with a heart full of hope that I will see bunch approvals everyday so then can move quickly to Dec !

  2. Our priority date is Dec 16, 2013. I just found it has been approved on May 17, 2014 by checking the status on Uscis website yesterday. We found a lot of useful information here although this is my first post. I just want to say thanks for that and hope those who are still waiting will get approved soon. I'm with Vermont service center and they seem to be quicker than i thought.

    welcome and Congrats ! :dancing:

    good luck with nvc :)

  3. On March 28, 2014, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

This is my status on USCIS, but I still have not received anything from NVC? From what I research you should receive an invoice and request for AOS from them usually in 30 days- its over 30 days? We started this process in February. I have tried calling them but it is always busy? Should I just wait it out or try to contact them another way (I already emailed them- no reply).

CALL them, waiting for email may only slow down your process. (call late at night , they are open till midnight )

  4. Hello everyone,

I'm new here. I have filed I-130 in Dec 2013(PD: Dec 13 2013) and filed I-129F on Apr 25 2014. My case was slightly updated when they received my I-129F(On April 30, 2014, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.)and no words since then. The process takes so much longer than I have imagined...I hope everyone here hears good news soon.

Hello , I added your info to our spreadsheet. I hope you don't mind :)

Big congrats to all those that received there approvals. it will be 5 months for me on 9th. still hoping for the best news....

    :time:

Hello , I added your info to our spreadsheet. I hope you don't mind :)

ugh gosh, I hope this week will bring some good news.

    waiting s u c k s

  5. Lol, thanks. I'll just be over there... *hides quickly to avoid the shame*

But in all seriousness, my answer kind of stands still. They switch what goes where to deal with their internal mess :D

yep, your answer was good ! :) I just wanted to show that they are "doing it" now and lucky people from April are getting approved in few days, weeks since noa1..

and I am still counting days since my noa1.

  6. My husband called uscis yesterday and he spoke to tier1 and he told him that NSC is working on Nov 5th and if we don't here anything before 5th of June ( it would be our 6 months from PD ) we should call again and put SR or whatever.

I just Hope that at least the earliest Dec PD's will hear something before June comes, but the best would be if they would start to approve all of us ASAP :star:

    :clock:

  7. 5 months and 4 days since NOA1. Things seemed to have slowed down so much. October approvals came in thick and fast, yet there seems to be few approvals for November. At this rate I feel like most of us at best can hope for an approval by June.

We have been married for almost 8 years with three kids together, relocating is so much harder to plan with kids (that are school aged) when you have all this uncertainty hanging over you!!!!!

Anyone planning to file a service request at some point?

I think I'll ask my hubby to call today or tomorrow and see what they have to say for their slow work.

    :protest:

  8. Hi everyone, I had a couple of questions I was hoping you could help me out with.

    Form I-130

Question 21. "If filing for your spouse, give last address at which you lived together." The whole "lived" vs "visiting" has me confused. I went to Iran this past April for 3 weeks to marry my wife. I stayed in her house for the first week (we were engaged and slept in separate rooms), became married the 2nd week and then stayed there for my final 2 weeks in Iran. After that I went home and am currently filing this form. I actually became engaged to my wife last Summer in August, where I would also stay at her place (as an engaged couple for 1 week). I have no idea if that's relevant or not but I figured I would mention it

I would write N/A or smth like : never lived together .

Evidence for ongoing marital union. I have the marriage certificate proving that we are married, as well as 2 affidavits swearing that they know of our marriage (2 people who were at our wedding). I also have photos from our wedding and honeymoon as well as skype logs, but I was told that this was "overkill" and too much information can be a bad thing. I was told that the 2 affidavits are more than enough.

I think that pictures are good idea , add also few from the visit you had last summer ( remember that they have to be proper ones , no kissing , no silly faces etc. and couple is enough ) one affidavit, and I would not include skype logs , but it's up to you.

    Form G-325A

My wife's mothers name and father's name were both mispelled on her birth certificate and passport that I am sending as part of the I-130 required documents. I wanted to write their correct names on the G-325A, but then I wondered if it would raise suspicion as to why their names were translated one way but I wrote differently. Should I write what I know is their correct name, or write it incorrectly to keep it consistent with the other forms I am sending?

Write as it states on her BC. But I am not sure about this one.

Employment last 5 years. Do they want all "gaps of time" filled for the last 5 years or no? Should I put time as a student under here? I just graduated last August and am actively seeking for work. I was originally just going to put "none" for present time but figured it might look a little blank. My wife is also currently a student and has never worked. Should she put "none" as well? Or student?

If you were a student as well as your wife , unemployed student, write then UNEMPLOYED

Last but not least, the addresses in Iran are more like directions. If I know an address will not fit and that I will be attaching a 2nd continuation page, should I write "see attached page" under address boxes or fit as much as I can in the box at least?

Just write SEE G-325a CONTINUATION FORM and remember to write on that page what is it and whose is it and put date and sign below.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

  9. Over the last few weeks I have seen MANY NOA2 going to people after 15-20 days from NOA1 these were all people who had no request for expedite and were auto expediated from CSC. I'm not sure why, but it's annoying.

I think it's because CSC wasn't receiving any petitions beside the transferred ones for past few months (info based on uscis and on our VJ ) and they started to receive new ones from Lockbox's in April.. so since they were done with all transferred cases they jumped into new ones, which happened to be with April PD's.. so it is just how I see it :P plus it is their game to make the average look better..

anyways! don't worry about it anymore - congrats !

I am December filer but I Wish all of you fast approvals so they can start my month :P

  10. Thank you, everyone! :)

No, I did not file 129f. As far as the expedite is concerned, I had requested one, but never heard back from them. So, I called USCIS and spoke to a tier 2 and they told me that they never received the evidence I faxed them three times! Therefore, I did not get the expedite. And I would have to wait to file it again. That's what the person told me, but I never actually heard back from VSC about the nay of the expedite... So I gave up on it. But seeing how they took almost a month to respond to my response to RFE, doesn't seem like expedited processing! Perhaps I just got lucky! :) Either way, I am super happy!

thanks for explanation :) I am happy for you ! let us now how is it going at nvc and good luck ! :goofy:

Here's hoping your luck rubs off on us as well. I have some good news to share as well. I filed a I-129f after my I-130. Texas Service Center approved it on April 16 and sent it to NVC on April 18th. Hoping it either gets shipped quickly to the embassy in Egypt OR (more likely) it at least gets my I-130 approved faster. i was very surprised they approved the I-129f without even apparently looking at my I-130 that has been sitting collecting dust in Vermont.

yay! that is awesome, maybe they've approved your I 130 as well and "forgot" to let you know :D ? If you find out something new let us know and feel free to update spreadsheet.

    :)

Wake up USCIS for rest of us still waiting! It's going to be 5 months since noa1 for me next week !! :clock:

  11. Here is the response my congressman's staffer got from the VSC:

"On November 12, 2013, your constituent filed a Form I-130 Immediate Relative petition with U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Your constituent’s Form I-130 Immediate Relative petition is currently pending processing with the Vermont Service Center (VSC).

The VSC is currently processing Form I-130 Immediate Relative petitions 6 months from date of receipt (5 months processing + 1 month buffer). Your constituent’s Form I-130 Immediate Relative petition is within 30 days of the processing times.

    Thank you,"

So when they say "5 months" apparently that means 6, since they get one extra month to do anything. I swear that they're just making this sh!t up. What a worthless and talentless group of people.

it's on uscis website : "To allow time for mailing and processing your decision, please wait an additional 30 days beyond normal processing times before inquiring about your case. "

    https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?sroPageType=onpt

    still sucks though

  12. Hi All. We are also filed in December (23rd) and are being processed at the Nebraska Service Center.

Time is going very slowly at the moment and I haven't seen my husband since we got married in August, but I am hoping that he will be coming to visit in May or June.

Oh and I was checked the Nebraska Service Center processing times today hoping that they would have been updated, but so far they remain on 28th Feb processing times.

    Hello,

I hope you are going to see your husband soon! I have seen mine in February but I miss him like crazy so I can imagine how you feel.

and About the processing times - they are always two months behind, so next update in May is going to state as of March 31st.

Can you please give me a link of the November thread? I would like to follow too. Thanks! :)

link to the thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/464182-i-130-november-filers/ and to their spreadsheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aqgp_fafY_R6dFI3cDREc2tNWV9qV09mMzN3WXR2dEE&usp=sharing#gid=3
