  1. 2 months??? That’s on the very optimistic side. lawyers suggest to wait 4 months at least before WOM filing. but here’s hoping for you that it’s a very short stay and no WOM is needed
  2. yea the lack of zero organic movement is quite depressing and its something that is making me consider pulling the trigger as well. almost $6k is a lot, but i dont know how long to wait. there is no movement for anyone without filing WOM
  3. i didnt file yet. my congressman said he would write a letter and i thought maybe that could help. but that promise was made like a month and a half ago and still the letter hasnt been sent. i am looking to sign up for WOM this month. Did you file WOM?
  4. so when i did the call with them, they insisted that my mom be on the call, i told them she doesnt speak good english but they still insisted. so when the call came, i had her dial in from Canada....and they didnt even ask her any questions nor did they care she was on the phone. 😑
  5. can someone give me a quick list of WOM attorneys? i know goldstein is well used, but i wanna research some alternatives as it seems once goldstein files, they dont really do much. so id rather have someone cheaper file if im getting nothing out of them after they file
  6. From everything I’ve read, the lawyers are pretty much helping file paperwork. And I’ve read so many people having mistakes that they have to correct. Wonder if they are just reusing same template over and over again. tbh if I knew how to file this suit, I would do it on my own and if it got complicated, I would hire lawyers to help
  7. i met with my congressman, so useless. same BS political jargon. he said he would write a letter to montreal to see if they can give him answers but said we are stuck with government bureaucracy, blah blah blah. useless.
  8. i have a meeting with my congressperson on thursday. lets see how it goes. i will give him all the information i have and bring up whats ive noticed lately in terms of DS 5535. Not hopeful in how this will help, but worth a shot and i will try to ask for answers from him.
  9. yes i did ask my moms passport back. i got it back and guess what? they allowed her to cross the border and come to USA as a tourist while they are extremely vetting her for whatever threat she presents. Hopefully the absurdity of this entire situation is not lost on anyone
  10. no cons in what you've listed. but a WOM is essentially asking them to make a decision, either favorable or not. so I guess the only con, not sure if it is, is that you'll know for sure if your case is approved or denied.
  11. i wonder with the increase in WOM cases also means resources are first allocated to those cases, and then the regular cases, which in turn delays the regular cases more.
  12. Just waiting for a post from someone “my pet has been issued a DS 5535” 😝
