  1. i got this email this morning On December 19, 2013, your address was changed relating to the I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN that you filed. is there anyone know when we will have our approval?

We didn't request for changed of address though..that is why i am a bit confused why did they changed our address? is this message near for approval or just an error?

  2. I just sent a email asking about my case to NSC. its been over 30 days to be exact 40days since my files were transferred. Course they have not answered typical. I wish there was a way to make accountable.

on the notice of transfer..they mentioned if your case doesn't have approval after 60 days of transferred you can contact them.. they put on the letter we should have result within 60 days...

  3. Congratulations to all the recent approvals.

Someone in the Feb filers thread is past the 60-day wait time since transfer. The most we, march filers, had to wait since transfer for an approval is 51 days and surprisingly, that late approval is from CSC and not TSC as I had expected.

that is not right. that person should have his/her approval already since its over 60 days.. they should call USCIS to follow up for their case. and on the noticed..they also said that if our priority date is over on what is current processing date..we should call them to ask for update.

  4. My wife never had a CFO certificate done before. She's been using the passport with surname amended on the third or fourth page in the passport for years before it expired. So during those years she probably went to the philippines 3 or 4 times with no issues.

hi..then just give CFO a call and tell them the situation... but really the DFA requires CFO certificate.. like what i did so i was able to changed my surname.. using my husband surname.

  5. Hello all, I was hoping you can help provide guidance to my situation. I am currently in Manila for my wife to attend the CFO Seminar. She is a legal permanent resident of the US (10 year green card holder). We have been married for five years, and her Philippine passport with amended surname expired a few months ago. She flew out to the Philippines before it expired so she could spend some time with her family and friends. When she went to get her passport renewed she was informed that she needed to attend the CFO seminar when they glanced over her application and saw that her husband was listed as a US Citizen. In another post I read here in the forums someone posted the following:

The following are exempt from attending the counseling program:

    * Filipino spouses and other partners previously granted permanent residence status in the country of destination.

So does my wife need to attend the CFO? If not, what way can we get her passport renewed with her married surname to a foreigner? There seems to be a disconnect between some local and government agencies here in the Philippines. Any insight or information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

    Cal

They used the word exempted.. because, you cannot leave the country without the certificate and the sticker on her passport. so for sure your wife has a certificate already. and she just forget to change her surname before she left Philippines... am i right?

  6. Yes, she will need the CFO certificate and before she can have the certificate she needs to attend the Seminar.for her to be able to change her name on Philippine passport.since she been in the U.S im sure she has CFO certificate.but, if she lost it..thats the problem. coz, they give only one certificate. DFA requires..CFO certificate. and NSO marriage certificate..or SECPA. for further information about CFO Certificate...please call CFO hotline :

  7. Take a breath!! Things move fast now for you. Look at Hanks patented post. All the steps are there. First thing is you'll have to wait for the magic MNL number. Start calling the national visa center, (NVC,) every day after a week or so has passed. Congrats!! Your fiance will be here soon!!

uhm..Hanks post is for people applying for K1..../ K1 and CR1/IR1 has a different procedures :)...right?

  9. Thank u, I will ask her to call. I've gone thru the website many times and just don't understand where it says registration fee at bottom but no amount so I'll have her call. Thanks.

its better to call them directly so you will have accurate instruction. thats what i did before i went there. i asked them what requirements should i bring. :)

  10. I thought we had everything figured out for fiancee's CFO on Monday but now not sure. Her 4 yr old daughter will attend with her (know she's not required). Fiancee has all necessary documents but we're concerned what documents she needs for her daughter?

Also, I know the counseling fee is 400 php so will they have to each pay since daughter going with her? Finally, I can't seem to find anywhere what the registration fee is for the actual sticker for each of them?

Thank you so much, God bless.

if you are still confuse ask you fiancee to give them a call for further clarification.. here is there digits

  11. Not one part of the process make sense to me. My number ends at 118. PD is 3/4. I got transferred same time with other March filers to NSC on 11/6. My wife is also from Philippines. So does that make you think I've got approved? No, I am still waiting and just seeing all those people with PD after mine got approved.

People from USCIS don't go by the recipe number and PD. People who have waiting for 10 months is the same as the guy who just file last week. They just pick out random files that they like. I guess I'm just the unlucky one. They must not like my name or something. Heck, I should have wait till SEP to file my case, maybe get approved faster.

If your wife doesn't live in the devastated area...I'm talking about visayas region she will not qualify for the expedite or approval. they only giving it to those who really affected by the recent typhoon haiyan.im saying this coz my husband called them up today. and we found out that we are not qualified for the expedite/approval benefits..since i live here manila and far from visayas.

  12. My hubby called the USCIS. to asked them if we were qualified for the expedite since I'm from Philippines.and my hubby said that they asked a bunch of questions. i told my hubby just to call them to ask but never lie to them. but we are not lucky sad.png like other people who said they got approval/expedite even they are from part of Luzon and was not affected by the typhoon. and still qualified for expedite. but to those people who lied just to get their case expedited. good luck on your guys interview. or if you guys done your interview yet..remember the sayings "honesty is the best policy". if the USCIS found out that some people lied just to get your case process by them. good luck in your future immigration application.

  13. Maybe if you called and asked if you were entitled to relief from a Tier 2, they'd speed you up? I don't honestly know, but if they can help you get approved faster, I say go for it. You've been waiting more than long enough.

My husband just called USCIS the other day and an officer told him..they are currently processing petitions as of february 12,2013. and the officer said it will not take long for approval since we filed last march. and i told my husband its not an assurance. coz i think he just spoke to a call center agent. and basically they are just reading what is on their monitor.

  14. Yes, it is all a bunch of lies. They are anything but being fair right now. Another thing is even I feel beneficiary country plays a role in faster approval, for instance there are many Filipinos getting approvals. Whoever made the Google spreadsheet, can you please also list beneficiary's country, if not already listed. BTW, that Google document is great. Kudos to whoever did it.

Yea my fellow filipinos are so lucky... coz of the typhoon haiyan.. they got approval...
