  1. I don't mean to keep making seprate threads on the DS-160. It's just that I can't see the next step until I fully complete the Current step on this online form!

Regarding Intended Date of Arrival & Intended Length of Stay in U.S.

Should I say that she'll be here for 3 months (the lenght of the Fiancee Visa), or 10 years (as she will be living in the USA after marriage)?

    Thank you in advance!

Keep in mind that you are applying for Non-immigrant visa K1. you should not put there 10 years. coz it will referring to an immigrant visa. so just put there 3 months.

  2. On her Passport, it states under issuing authority DFA TACLOBAN.

Though all passports come from Manila.

And she picked it up in Cebu, due to being displaced with Yolanda.

So, Should I put Tacloban since that is the Issuing Authority on the passport?

    YES

  3. The online application has a spot for Surenames and a spot for Given Names. Do I include the middle name for either of these? My fiancee's passport lists her middle name clearly seperate from her Surname and also from her Middle name.

Do you mean Surname?Surname is (Family name) Given name is ( First Name).. Just Write on appropriate Box.

Philippine Name Has a format of - First Name + Middle Name + Surname

The reason why we have middle name because that is the Surname of our mother Before Marriage (Maiden Name)

    ex. Juan dela Cruz

Juan -is the ( First name/Given Name )

    Dela-is (Middle Name)

Cruz- is the Surname (Family Name)

  4. That's fine. You'll still have to fill out the question on the I-864 though. Just put $0.00 for 2010. You'll have to include a letter as to why he didn't file taxes (he was unemployed).

For the AOS package, you have two choices: submit just the most recent year tax information (currently 2012) or the past three years' tax information (currently 2010, 2011, 2012). So, submit the 2011 and 2012 tax transcripts as well as the letter I mentioned above.

    No need to worry.

thanks saylin :)is that I-864 form comes with the AOS packet that NVC will send to us? or we can start filling this out by downloading it from USCIS website? we hired an attorney/paralegal to help us..but they don't tell us what we need to do.

  5. Hi all. I have a question that is Philippine specific. Does NVC require "red ribbon" documents (marriage, birth, etc) or will they accept documents printed on just official paper ? I am getting ready to start filing my first set of documents with NVC and my wife stumped me with this question. Can anyone help me answer this?

    Thanks

Based on what i read from previous filer. they don't have red ribbon on MC.BC...that ribbon is only require in Diplomas. Marriage certificate is should be on NSO paper. its authenticated. cause you will see on upper left an NSO seal.

  8. HI there!

So twice in the last 12 hours my husband and I have received e-mails from USCIS stating that our case has been transferred to a local office for further processing. I presume that this is to deal with the neverending backlog, but why send the same e-mail to us twice?

Hello yes, its normal... you will receive 3 emails.from them.. If your case was from NBC..your case possibly transferred to Nebraska,California or Texas. for you to make sure just wait for hard copy of the notice/mail within a week.

  9. Hello my fellow VJ Members,

I just have a question about the 2X2 pictures that I'm going to bring for my Medical/USEM.

can i still use the same picture that we submitted to USCIS for I-130 petition? Its 2x 2 picture..and i was thinking if i can use the same picture to save money. since nothing's changed on my face....etc.

will they consider the picture that we submitted to USCIS and NVC..or they will need a new one?. thanks
