Let the other paperwork begin - passport, ssn, edl, etc...

I have heard of a few stories where the IO did not ask the spouse to come back for a joint interview, and I have also heard a few stories where the N400/I751 applicant did not have their spouse there and it was requested that they have them come down for a joint interview.  I guess it is IO dependent, but personally I would err on the side of caution and have one's spouse there with a joint application (N400/I751) if possible.
 
Regardless, congrats on passing the interview/tests and good luck on your oath ceremony.  If it is anything like my wife's it will take a bit to check the group in (there was 77 at my wife's ceremony), and then there will be reps from voter registration groups and from the local passport agency.  Then the judge's clerks will start the ceremony and say a few words, then the judge themselves, then the oath.  Enjoy!

Congratulations @AustinCanada, I am very happy for you! Wow, you have hit three birds with one stone, I-751, N-400 and an Oath Ceremony in a 24-hr period! You deserve it though, because you have been there for everyone else here on VJ. Enjoy the finality of this journey and all the best in everything you do!

My I-751 journey has finally come to an end!  
 
I've passed my N-400/I-751 combo interview today!     It took 2 years and 2 months!  

The day has finally come that we have our interview tomorrow.
 
Last time we had an interview at USCIS, we were flagged for additional screening due to the world's most comical mix-up. Someone was asked whether we had a romantic relationship and thought they wanted some specific details they wouldn't share. 🤣 At the time, I thought I might pee myself in the waiting room while I awaited my turn at the questions. 
 
I'm rehashing the questions, just out of nostalgia while making some salsa, and I couldn't help but think - wouldn't it just be better to describe the mess that is my dining table? The empty licorice box, the two sets of door knobs, the random clothing rack bar from the project I keep forgetting, etc. It seems way more enlightening than where we ate last. 
 
Anyways - here's hoping to the END of this VJ. I'll keep everyone posted how it goes at the Seattle office with the joint interview. Fingers crossed!

Thank you to everyone for their contributions, because in my sleepless nights, it is the feedback I received from this platform that kept me strong, hopeful and resolute in my pursuit. Next week, it is my N-400 interview and now I don't have to worry about a decision not being made because of a pending I-751. I want to wish everyone best outcome in your cases, please don't tire, continue to believe and keep fighting!

Great!      I've just downloaded it and will be using it!  

Yeah probably not likely to get same day, but they do at least 2 oaths a day Mon-Thurs as far as I can tell so I don’t think you’ll be waiting too long. My actual interview only took about 5 minutes, but I sat in there with the officer chatting for 40 minutes while she tried to get her computer to work! So maybe you’ll have some luck there 🙂
 
One thing I did which helped speed things up was print an addendum (for part 9.3 on the form) with the 2 trips id taken since my application was sent. She just added it to the file instead of having to hand write all the information out, so that saved some time.

Thanks guys. From what we saw yesterday, if your appointment is at 2:15, it might be tricky to get the same day appointment. The ceremony was to start at 2:30, for which they'd bring the carts out at 2:15 (so we were told). But they did not bring the carts out until 2:45ish and the ceremony didn't start until 3. Keeping fingers crossed for you.
 
I do feel bad for a couple of folks who were there for interviews. Their interviews had to be rescheduled at the last min. Systems had not been updated. They were told, they'd get a notification for when the new interviews would be later on. 😥

At was at the same ceremony! I was second to last (or maybe last) called. 
 
I loved that she quoted Obama instead of Trump - it made me feel better about the ceremony. 🙂

Lucky to say that our journey is over. I am officially married to a USC 😍

Hey, guys!
I had my interview and my oath ceremony today. It went really well, and everyone was very kind.
 
The only awkward thing was watching a video during the ceremony starring the Great Orange Jerk (also a music video of the lame song they play at his rallies). Besides that, it was short and sweet. The keynote speaker was really cool, and stressed that we are not second class citizens and how hard our journey was to get to this point. 
 
So, yeah, the Seattle office is really great even though it’s painfully backlogged.

I’ve never posted here but I checked back frequently during my journey, so I wanted to post to give back and maybe help someone else looking for information.
 
I got my citizenship yesterday (10/10/18) in the Tukwila office. I applied in July 2017 based on the 3 year marriage eligibility. I did my biometrics in August 2017. My appointment was at 10:50am, and I took the oath at 2:30pm that day. 
 
The interview was very straightforward and they didn’t ask to see any of my documentation aside from my greencard (because you have to surrender it) and my ID. The officer was friendly and personable.
 
They were having computer issues which I think caused a lot of delay, I waited about 1.5 - 2 hours to be called in and almost couldn’t be processed because their system went down, but it worked out in the end.

Yes, this was for the I751 interview with the two of us and she wanted to see recent photos. She had all our paperwork and evidence like the bank accounts and mortgage and earlier photos, but the officer wanted to confirm an ongoing relationship. It had been 2 years since those documents had been sent in. I happened to have some recent ones printed that were acceptable, so she didn't need to see my phone in the end. Probably best to bring a few recent ones along. They might not ask and we may have passed the I751 without it, but better safe than sorry.

Bring everything you sent with the I-751 application as well as updated versions.  We front loaded the I -751 with a ton of evidence
as well, when we submitted it.  The officer started with the I-751 application.  He asked for updated bills (2018) showing we were still
together at the same address.  That was it for the I- 751 portion.  He then asked me to leave his office so that he could
continue the N-400 interview with my wife.  The entire process only took about 30 minutes.

My wife had her N-400 interview at the San Bernardino Office.  Her I-751 was still pending at the time.  Her
letter never stated anything about a joint interview but we showed up with all the necessary paperwork for both.
Both petitions where adjudicated that same day.  Go prepared for a joint interview.  Good luck!
