This type of thing is exactly why people from the P I have so much trouble getting a tourist visa. You are asking members to help construct a series of lies to assist this person to commit fraud. The best thing you can do it tell this " friend " you will not help in any way that amounts to visa fraud.
    # 1 Would you be in trouble? In reality you could be seen as aiding a person in the act of committing crimes I suppose.
    # 2 Deportation with a life time ban.
    # 3 You have to live with what you have done to help her.

All I know is that all these threads have one thing in common is that very little information is supplied compared to what the Consulate have and that we see a preponderance of seemingly dubious cases.

Sorry, but a CO cannot order a bank account frozen...so your so called experience or knowledge about this is totally false...how to disprove me? Let's go to the embassy Manila's website and find the 'frozen funds' requirement in order to get a tourist visa....ready????...no CO from the US of A can tell an applicant what to do with their time or money, other than regulate to some extent their behavior while inside the embassy...the US of A cannot tell people what to do with their money...the Dept of State has no authority to order somebody to freeze their bank accounts, nor do they accept maintenance of status bonds...you either overcome 214b or you don't, and freezing bank accounts is NOT part of the deal.

this copied from the Embassy Manila website, under 'non immigrant visas' and 'evidence of ties'..
    "
    Posting of Bonds
There is no provision in the law that allows for the posting of bonds as a guarantee of return. Moreover, this is not considered as familial, social, economic or professional ties that can affect the applicant’s eligibility for a visa."
    I rest my case.

    Hi,
There is nothing you can do to bring her to the US as long as she is married. The US will not give her a K-1 fiancee visa to enter the US to marry you and commit bigamy.
Divorce is not an option in the Philippines.
She needs an annulment completed and be single before you can do anything to bring her to the US.
    Best of luck.

As for myself, (Me, myself, I) I have ZERO empathy. I'm unable to and haven't "walked a mile in their shoes" nor can I say I've "been there".
I have very little sympathy as DACA has clearly affected those of us who have/are trying to do things the legal and proper way. Just MHO.

Torete reacted to JohnR! in B2 Visa refused, how long to wait for re apply?
Gus, there is no waiting time required before you can reapply, but it won't help you much if your circumstances have not changed. What you can do, is schedule another interview, bring along your documentation and ask for an explanation as to why you were refused in the first place. Your answers should always be honest and true, which means don't change them unless your actual situation has changed.
Chances are you were denied because you are single, mid-late twenties and don't have a lot to ties to your home country. If you're going to try another interview bring along documentation that would evidence your need to return home after your intended stay in the US. It won't guarantee you will get a visa, but you will be better prepared if asked to present any documentation to that effect.
    Good luck!

The best answer is the honest answer.
Lying, or trying to manipulate the odds of approval, will only put you at risk for denial and a possible permanent ban.

Agree. Better safe than sorry to bring it plus I don't think it'll impact our carry-on baggage allowance. :-)

    Hi C&J,
IMO, yes IT IS worth it to try. If it's within their financial capabilities, each applicant will pay $160. Knowing how important family is to Filipinos, I would try.
There are many other threads that will provide insight and opinions; take a look at them to get an idea as to others thoughts. Read the guides above and go to the USEM website for guidance as well. Good luck.

Take care and stay cool in blistering hot Phoenix!

And yes, thanks...we'll make sure we bring the tickets with us. Like CFO, they might ask for anything...blood sample, DNA test, shoes size... :-)

    Robb&Ann,
Thank you so very much for your thorough, detailed, and helpful response; it's greatly appreciated. We appreciate your summarization of both the terminal and tourism fees. We're hoping the fare increase from 550 PHP to 750 PHP doesn't occur not just for us, but others as well.
We shall take your advice and do as you suggested.
Once again, thanks kindly for taking the time to respond.
    James/Chel
