Not all women are like that. She's acting kinda childish. It's gonna be your anniversary, yes. But she needs to understand other circumstances and you guys need money once she arrive to the
US also and she needs to understand that it's hard to get a a good job now. You won't understand women because women are women Lol she could be emotional now but she will realize it all later. She have to think the stuff in the long run.

JARS reacted to NikLR in Dealing with the wife's ex-husband and immigrating her kids
Each child immigrating needs their own petition, their own I-130 package. Children do not require the same documentation that a spouse does however so read the instructions carefully.
After thr USCIS stage comes the NVC stage. At that time each petition needs its own affidavit of support (AOS) package and immigrant visa (IV) package including the DS-260 (which is the visa application) and fees. You only have to pay the AOS fee once for everyone but the IV fee per person.
At the interviews (each person immigrating to the USA has an interview regardless of age) you would present a notarized letter from their biological father that states he is aware of and allows the children to move permanently to the USA. Get any changes done to their custody agreement as well if needed.
    Hope that helps.
Also sometimes petitions are not approved together even though they are sent together. At the NVC stage i do not recommend paying any fees or sending any documents without all petitions being present and having a case number. This ensures they are joined and will have the same interview date.

JARS reacted to NikLR in I130 approved for spouse today, but no approval for child.HELP!.
I'd say if you don't get it by the time your spouse's file makes it to the NVC, start calling the USCIS and asking what is up to a tier 2. You can also contact your congressman and ombudsman as you want these cases together at the NVC. Don't do anything with your spouse's case at the NVC (besides the DS-261) until the child's case reaches them as well.

you just filed two months ago. People have been waiting for a year or more to get a NOA2. Sorry, but you have several more months to wait given the backlog of approximately 500,000 petitions sitting at the USCIS right now. Sit back and relax for now.

    LoveMyTico...
We are still waiting too. I come here everyday to read your post. I really feel when you get your approval we will get ours too. That's what happened when our case was transferred.
Our PD is April 15th. My husband who is USC is from south NJ so very close to you too.
We tried to expedite the case due to his deployment but nothing happened since he is just a civilian contractor. I find it very unfair..
I am so sick of this but I'm just telling myself everything happens for a reason. Maybe this long waits will be paid off in some kinda way in the future.
You are not the only one LoveMyTico. Hopefuly this would cheer u up a little bit.

I told my husband I really think this will be our week. He said maybe they will get to our file in another few years ( trying to be funny )
19 more days til I see his gorgeous face again.

After our case not being touched since its transfer on December 5th, we finally received an email on Friday!
Only to be told.... that it's an RFE. Ugh. And now we wait to receive the letter....
Why can't they just outline what's required in the email? What a ridiculous process. It would be so much quicker to process everything online that can be done online!
Husband keeps saying at least they've opened the file.. which yes, I guess is true.... but I'd prefer to be approved, not have to send in more information!!

JARS reacted to Paz_Tranquilidade in USCIS has turned my marriage into a joke...
In December, I almost quit school and stayed in Brazil because I could not stomach coming back to the US alone and suffering again.
We almost pulled our I-130 petition and thought about going to Canada instead because we thought the process would be quicker and have many friends who moved there.
I know how you feel.... I get really angry, too. We ARE being punished for following the laws... and meanwhile, I hear about all these status adjusters (people who come on tourist visas because their friends promised them American husbands and cars and homes) and they get their GCs in 3 months. It sucks but I believe in karma.... if we get through this, there will be nothing but tons of blessings!!!

Guys, I know you don't want to hear this but hang in there. I have not lived with my husband under the same roof since June 2011 (different immigration issues involving a J-1 visa, two year rule - we could not file for the IR-1 until about six months ago.)
I fight with my husband a lot and this is only lately. I also have thought of divorce and this has affected me psychologically. I missed all of my wedding anniversaries and never got to celebrate any bday with him since we got married. I can't even go out to public places without feeling anxious or depressed when I see couples together. I seriously sit there with the worst jealousy and wish that was me.
Two weeks ago, I went to the ER in the middle of the night because of an asthma attack brought on by anxiety... this never happened to me before. I was lying in bed thinking about all sorts of things - including immigration and I couldn't breathe.
It sucks but there is nothing we can do but wait. I would suggest keep bugging the senator, congressperson, the NVC, or whomever.
The only thing that keeps me going is to know that the love I share with my husband (regardless of my thoughts, which we all have) and this experience is something that very few people can go through. Just about everyone has told me "I don't know how you do it. I could never do it" which to me says "I don't love my spouse that much." In fact, yesterday, someone was complaining to me (again) about having to drive 2 hours to see a girl he's dating. And then criticized me for having a long distance relationship saying those never work. well you know what FU is my answer! And all these things serve to show me that what I have is unique and that when we are, in fact, together again, things will be better than before (after marriage counseling if necessary because let me tell you from past experience... it takes adjusting to your spouse who has essentially become somewhat of a stranger. Skype is no substitute for being together as we all know.)
I have faith that things will be better for all of us and that we can show people what love is... regardless of the turmoil our hearts feel and our relationships endure.
HANG IN THERE! <3 I am so grateful for you guys... we can all relate to each other and understand each other!

JARS reacted to Ryan H in at this time is it worth to file 129F- K3?
Don't bother with the K3, it will be matched up with your current file and will likely end up being closed by the NVC.

I got an rfe, they received our missing (LOST) documents on January 27th, that's what it says online when I check my stat. No news so far. They say that after they receive the rfe response it takes up to 60 days until a decision is made....then comes the Nvc process....be prepared to wait some more. Good luck.

Approved today. I feel relieved but I do not feel overjoyed. This should have happened at least 2 months ago. I feel guilty because there are still Febs and Marchs waiting.

Yes, We have a lawyer. He enclosed extra passport pictures and my husbands Birth cert. So I will be VERY surprised if I get an RFE HOWEVER, now that I just said that.... We all know I'll get one now !!
We were transferred on Nov 27th. Both files Last touch on K-3 Dec 2nd, Last touch on I-130 Dec 3rd. I was told on Dec 30th that my file has been assigned to an officer. I guess that officer is allowed to have files in their pipeline indefinately....
If our K-3 comes through and gets forwarded to the embassy, we're taking it !! This whole processes is taking time away from us that we can never get back.

I wasn't a nice lady to the woman I spoke to on the phone on Monday. I'm thankful she was as understanding as she could be. I'm sure they are getting a huge wave of angry callers this week due to the new year, so I am sure the call centers are getting frustrated with the people processing our applications too.

YAY ! I just received a response from the Senators office JUST NOW. I sent her a message last night when I was feeling so sad and depressed.
    Jennifer,
I did get an update on your pending I-130. It was transferred to the Texas Service Center. The TSC provided the following update to our office:
This I130 has been assigned to an officer. A decision or some type of action will be made within the next 30 business days.
    Thank you,
    Rachel

CONGRATS AGAIN !!! You gave me a glimmer of hope for the weekend.
