  1. Don't forget that Costco sells Kirkland brand underwear in case the thrift store is out of Mini-B's size. Chilly down here in the Keys. 60 degrees the morning. Inside temp is 66 so it's time to see if the heat is working. Haven't had to use it for at least a year. If not I'm hopping back under the covers to snuggle and share body warmth. Fortunately I do also have the electric mattress heater. It's heaven.
  2. I learned long ago that embassies and consular officers have a great deal of independence and if they made a decision they feel is correct then it is VERY unlikely anyone is going to get them to change their decision. Proceed with the waiver.
  3. I don't know if things have changed, but if you didn't have 14 days left on your I-94 SSA, would not issue a SSN until the EAD or green card.
  4. I do have them but if I'm not looking at the app on the phone because I'm dozing after dosing (was it Bourbon?) then ...surprise!
  5. My wife would NEVER wear Birkenstocks
  6. That's what I was wondering.
  7. She is pretty hot
  8. It's a (late) Christmas miracle. A silver lining. The squatting family with the awful kids suddenly decided to leave. Was it something I did or said?...LOL Just a day after I learned they were staying until Jan 4th, they packed up and went home. Could it be because I criticized they way they feed their kids garbage food (sorry TBoneTX), or because I questioned their parenting skills, or arguing about the British father's crazy liberal ideas? Perhaps the last straw was when the one kid wanted apple juice and the father said we didn't have any. I said we sure do, I brought an unopened bottle down from home. The father had seen it in the fridge and noticed the "Best before Nov 30th" on the bottle and said it was expired and no good. I told him it had never been opened and always refrigerated. I opened it, smelled it, and poured the kid a glass. Father lost it. I started to explain that the "Best by" label was meaningless and that TBoneTX would drink it but it was a worthless conversation. Was very shortly thereafter that he started packing up the mess they had created. My wife was quite surprised too. And within an hour or so they were gone! Sadly my daughter called and said they would not be coming down because one of the twins had a terrible ear infection. Was so bad there was green pus oozing from the ear. Now on antibiotics and ear drops. Apparently now has a ruptured ear drum. Looks like it will be just my wife and I for the rest of the week. Starting tomorrow I'm going to have to find my long sleeve shirt and long pants. Certainly go to have to count on shared body warmth.
  9. I've had that ticket for the last several years. It's one of the "perks" that comes with getting older.
  10. My wife has never put her cold feet on my back... Hmm, maybe I'm missing out on something a little wild?
  11. My wife always accuses me of choosing her just so she can keep me warm. I tell her if staying warm was the number one priority I would have found an XXL gal from Texas (everything is bigger in Texas). How does one sound tired in a text?
  12. Our condolences on your loss. We hate winter too. New Years eve it's going to drop Many (2 x 2 x 2) degrees. Burr (Raymond). Yeah, yeah I know...Perry Mason or Ironside? My plans for New Years Eve are to snuggle close to my rubia to stay warm.
  13. I have single citizenship here but my wife made sure I had neuterization.
  14. Do you really think I am that bad?
  15. Revisited/rebrushed/din-dinned mini-miu, little orange boy man. Related to the Bad Orange Man? 👍 I knew it Your lucky. I wish we had fiber available. Upper 70's here until Wednesday when it drops into the 60's....burr.
  16. Oh, and it gets worse. Not only did they show up unannounced, it turns out they have decided to stay until we go back on Jan 4th! WHAT??? My daughter and her family were actually invited, but now with these squatters here, I don't think she will venture down. I don't blame her. I took a quick peek into the "guest" bathroom and I would rather do my business in the woods than step foot in there. And I'm not cleaning up their mess! I need another drink. Joyous holidays to everyone else.
  17. But I will tell you much more is needed. Oh, I forgot to mention the family from Hell brought their petting zoo with them. A tortoise and a rabbit, or as I call them the tortoise and the hare.
  18. Honestly I don't remember if it was beer or bourbon.
  19. Yup, sure do! After the super hectic Thanksgiving we had, thanks to my wife's daughter and son in law and two awful boys deciding to spend the week with us (they only live an hour and a half away) we decided to spend from the 23rd till Jan 4th in the Keys and NOT INVITE ANYONE! Before coming down my wife did invite my daughter and son in law and 2 year old twins down for New Years, but they are easy and well behaved and the parents go out of their way to make life easy and clean up after themselves. Still waiting to see if they come down because it looks like a cold front will arrive then and it will be cold...temps in the 60's only. Well yesterday, Christmas day, I was sitting on the couch looking at the computer and dosing off when the front door opened... I thought my wife was in the bedroom?? Who appears at the door but the two awful boys followed by the parents. Unannounced and never invited. Oh ###! I still have no idea how long they are staying. Now there is yelling and screaming and running and "stuff" all over the floor. Even our playful little dog has had enough and wanted up in my arms to get away from them. We need to find a new place to hide.
  20. We did that the day before Christmas. Well actually it was 2+2 5gal cans for the boat. Drove up to Marathon to go to Home Depot and while there got gas since gas there is 50 cents a gallon cheaper than on our island. Traffic was horrible. Too many snowbirds and visitors here now. We used to call that Barfaroni. Don't you worry when she doesn't yell? While my mother isn't a yeller she does complain nonstop. I always say the day I visit her (or even talk to her on the phone) and she doesn't complain I'll be worried.
  21. For me National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is mandatory.
  22. With a 38 trillion debt, is borrowing more money to subsidize health insurance premiums any way to address actual healthcare costs?
  23. It's a shame you couldn't go with them Bottles? Plural? Men only need one bottle. Just counted the bottles in our shower here in the Keys. One for me, 10+ for Mrs Neon (bottles, pump containers, and tubes of I don't know what).
  24. Haven't there been several similar cases, mostly in California, where people were scooped up by ICE when they arrived for their green card interview?
  25. I am watching this too, but not so worried as I think it's going no where but with these politician you never know. I'm wondering how this might affect my wife. Around the time she got her US citizenship she needed to renew her Russian passport. Sent off to the Russian embassy in DC to have them renew it for the second time. Unfortunately her internal passport was also expired and not renewable in the US. After several months the embassy let us know they could not renew her Russian passport without extra money and a special search of her history and work background from Russia. We sent the money and waited. Again after a few months they said they could not renew her passport even though they had renewed it 5 years prior, saying they could not determine she was a Russian citizen! I was concerned how this would interfere with her ability to visit her family and friends in Russia and if she would even be able to obtain a visa to Russia in her US passport. While she was on the phone discussing this with someone at the embassy I had her ask them since they cannot determine she is a Russian citizen can they say that she is NOT a Russian citizen (opening up the possibility that she CAN get the visa to Russia) and their reply was "oh, if you want to renounce your Russian citizenship you need to fill out XYZ form and send us X$ and your CURRENT VALID Russian passport". We just gave up. So the question is, is she actually a dual citizen? She never renounced her Russian citizenship. I assume if this bill succeeded it might just require a form and attestation here in the US.
