Because you're doing a K-1, I do believe it's possible to get certain vaccines after entering the United States. Do a search on these forums for that.
However, this would be costly in the US compared to England I imagine.
I would suggest the same as zauberblume, and get his own GP to administer the required vaccines. I had no records either and only had to get the MMR and a tetanus shot, which were included in the price of my medical. These should be 'topped" up every certain amount of years anyways, so I didn't mind having to get them. I had to get the varicella (chicken pox vaccine) in the US as it is not available in Ireland and I'd never had the chicken pox.
I would get him to tie up as much loose ends at home while it's possible and make sure he asks for a copy of his Vaccination Sheet from the Doctor doing his medical

Plan a group weekend away? I don't know if it's possible there, but somewhere where a large group can rent out a few holiday homes and just enjoy a big hooley!! We're all going to the Aran Islands for my brother's 30th in September...yes I'll be ready to pop the baby out, but it should be fun, if for no other reason than I'll be sober and armed with a camera
I guess it's like a party, but with a twist. And everyone, loves a party!
What else? Is he into flying or anything like that? Flying lessons maybe? Or maybe a scuba diving weekend for the both of you? Hmmm....brain on slow mo right now, but let us know what you end up planning!

I was wondering how he got on, sorry there's no definate approval today but it does sound positive. So here's hoping that by the end of the month all will be well!!
p.s. Colleen; The courts go on holidays here July 31st, so make sure he gets his paperwork well in advance of that, as they don't resume again till September.
Keep us up to date on the rest of the journey and hang in there

I'd call too Frances, Irish businesses (sp?) are notoriously bad for responding to e-mails. It drives my husband nuts too, especially because sometimes it's harder to understand accents over the phone.
Give 'em a call girl as going by previous experiences of our own, you probably won't get any reply!! A lot of the owners have someone else set up the website, but they themselves can't use e-mail etc...go figure
Hope you get somewhere sorted, I'm sure you will!

Well so far it has done its best.Hopefully i will get the rfe so the case can move on. So how is life back home? I heard the weather is rather bad now well in Galway anyways.
Its thunder and ligtning here in NH after been so hot and humid lately.
It's lovely here in Cork today and was all weekend EXCEPT Saturday when it lashed rain and we had to bring the BBQ into the garage! Although I really pitied the people at the Oxygen Festival

On a seperate note and also in part defence of Zidane. He is a professional soccer player, playing in the most important game of the sport...can you imagine how high your adrenaline levels would be, the ferocious amount of pressure on your shoulders? None of us here can, as far as I am aware, no VJ member is a professional soccer player for his country.
Granted what he did was stupid, but clearly he was provoked. Couple this with the emotions and feelings of the day - and we all know the outcome.

Ah it's not cos your Irish, the AOS would try the patience of a saint. Good news bout the tax returns though! Hope all goes smooth from here on in!

We got married in a courthouse and my parents flew over from Ireland to be there also. Two of our closest friends in Columbus also attended and I have to say...it was perfect. You make what you want out of your wedding, whether you get married in a courthouse, a barn-yard shed, a church or a hotel. Isn't it really about the commitment you are making to each other? I wore an ivory empire line long dress and made my own bouquet of ivory roses (of which I still have some petals and used in our wedding album, which I also put together) with a mixture of dyed navy flowers to match Rob's shirt. It was all very personal and very special. The Judge who married us was an absolute pet and took lots of pics for us, we also got pics with her in the Group too...and she even let my Dad sit in her chair and use the gavel!
We then had a huge party in our apartment at the weekend with all our friends, my parents and Rob's family from PA. It was an absolute ball and everyone had a brilliant time. It was casual and relaxed and just great craic! At the end of the day, our wedding was discussed between us both and we were...and still are...totally happy with the day we became Mr. and Mrs. That's what it's really all about.
We had talked about a full church wedding in Ireland, but to be honest that idea just wore off us and we'll probably have a large party for the baby's christening.

Shona, best of luck and hope things begin to look up for you

Galwayman,
Sorry to hear things are at a roadblock for you. But the RFE is probably looking for your wife's tax returns.
She can file her tax returns for the years spent in Ireland using the 1040 form, and Form 2555 (foreign income earned exclusion) together. She won't have to pay any late fines or back taxes as she was working abroad. Even though she was only in Ireland for part of her last year there, she can still file the 2555 as she has a full year of residency in Ireland under her belt.
I'm probably not explaining this very well...still knackered from our late July4th BBQ this weekend. I had to sit down for a few days and read through the IRS publication on foreign earned income to get my head around it all. Once you read it, you'll actually know more about foreign earned income exclusion than the professionals! I think the publication is the one Yodrak mentions. Read this info, fill out the 2 forms, post off and unfortunately you may have to wait about 1 month before being able to get a copy of the filed transcripts...or will they take your copy of these forms as proof of filing?
I hope this helps and again apologies if I haven't explained it very well, but do read the publication!
